Attack of the Spam Bots!
« on: November 09, 2006, 04:02:02 AM »
Alright, so we had a new bot again today.  They seem to spam for each holiday.  I will see what I can't do about it.

At least it looks like we have some more members. *laughs* If only they posted more decent looking topics.

Just mentioning that I have gone through and deleted all of the spambot accounts.  So we are back down to 28 members.

Okay, so I think I may have the bot problem under control.

All members now must be activated through me, so There shouldn't be any more spam posts.  Hope that makes the environment alot more comfortable again. ^.~  The viagra bots are amusing, though.

Bots are like those strange, creepy individuals that are always hanging out with your group of friends, uninvited and really kinda slimy.

If we see those threads, does it help tp report them, or should we just ignore them? I mean, it being such a small board, they can't exactly hide. XD

(This out of curiosity and because I forgot to ask earlier, as we shouldn't see them anymore...)

Darling, I check this board everyday, so by the time I see your message about them, I have likely delted them.   But as you see they can register, but they cannot post.

That's about what I thought, but I felt I should check anyway. XDD Heh. (I didn't want to absent-mindedly send a load of reports if they ever manage to get through and flood your inbox with useless-ness, or anything. ^^;)

The spam-bots have been defeated! yay! ^^

Registration is now closed.   I any of you have friends who would like to join, have them e-mail me.  I will create an account for them.

I cannot keep up with the constant influx of crap bots.
