Title: Video game for the SNES :)
Post by: fuumegami on September 16, 2006, 03:43:23 AM
Anyone else play it?  I have it as a ROM on my laptop and it's become my latest obsession.  I have rayearth, the Umi disk :P for my sega saturn, the game was good but I kinda just watched my friend play because there's nothing like a 6ft 7 black dude playing rayearth for an afternoon.

I've gotten to the water shrine but the only save point I know of before that is before Ferio helps us against monsters. :P  I know there's those auto-save things you can download, but I dunno where/how.  So after dying in the water shrine six times and having to go all the way back to Ferio each time (do you know how many times I've gone through Eterna?!) I put the game away for a bit. D:

Tips'd be great. :B

I really want to play the Sega one, though.  ;_______;
For the pretty cut scenes, if nothing else.

Well, unofficially, there are three Rayearth ROMs circulating my computer system.  2 SNES ones (a Japanese version and an English-translated version) and a Sega Saturn one (I imagine it's in English, but my attempts to try and find a working emulator so I can run it have failed).

Officially, I'm curious about these so-called "ROMs" and I wonder what they do. ;D

I was doing SO well on that game, I nearly completed it and everything.
Then my brother thought it'd be HILARIOUS to save over my save file.

I lost the will to play the game after that.

Now see...my sister did that with one of my Pokemon games back in the day.  I was pissed off cause I had gotten far in the game and then my save is gone.  Sadly...my sister is older than I am and she tried playing the game. XD

Normally, I would have hurt my sister, but I didn't.  If it was anyone else, I would have hurt them instantly.

I played through the SNES version.  It was entertaining enough, though nothing spectacular.

The Saturn version... well, that's what got me into Rayearth in the first place :)   It's certainly not the greatest game either, but I had a lot of fun with it (I found it to be much, much better than the SNES game).  The cutscenes are pretty, and you get a fair bit of story/character interaction unique to the game.  And I got the Fuu disc... <3 Fuu!

XD! Oooooo the Fuu disk!  So lucky!  Hehe, tho I won't complain my Umi Disk came all the way from CA Special order because I was good buddies with the manager at Game Crazy :) His friend sent it out just for me XD
