I have been bitten by an action bunny. As those of you who read my fanfiction know, I am not an adventure writer. More of an accedentaly pregnancy writer of sorts. But if you haven't noticed yet, my stories all fall in the same Cephiro.? All the characters are the same for the most part and general laws and customs remain the same. But that is where this new story comes into play.? the main difference is the fact that it is Anime based. The path between Cephiro and Earth has been closed since Debonair was defeated. I have spent the past few days tring to figure out who the villian is, but now I know and I had forgotten that I had created a Minion for him ages ago, but she is useless in the original fic she was intended for.
I don't have a title yet, but I have a general summary.? This fic was inspired by listening too closely to the lyrics of "Taking Over Me" by Evanescence and "Stand my Ground" by Within Temptation. That is part of your hint as to what is happening in it.
The Summary so far is as follows:
Three years after the defeat of Debonair, Umi returns to Cephiro only to find a country completely in ruins. Joining forces with the handful of magic users left in the wake of this distruction, she must find the mage she loves or die trying.
Not that I am going to post any of it up yet, but I do have a good chunk of the prologue written and a large portion planned out.
WARNING: Hikaru and Fuu DO NOT come back with her. So I don't know what to tell you about F/F and H/L. No H/E because this the Anime universe. He's dead.
So, does anyone feel up to the task of betaing this monstrosity? As we all know the amusing errors I create.? Umi shouldn't be a hermaphrodite in this one. ^.~

So.... since this plotline refuses to be manipulated into becoming a novel like I wanted it to, I am contemplating trying the fic again when I get a chance.

ETA: This is the first fic I ever came up with the idea of Clef having his own private residence away from the castle. We'll see what happens.

You know, I just realised this morning, that I really have no idea what Vespasian is trying to accomplish in taking over. Is it that he prefers the old system? Did he want to have become pillar? Control? Power? Social standing? Is he just fucking crazy?
So.... I shouldn't be allowed to THINK during epic movies (yeah, I totatlly saw the hobbit today), but I have not only figured out some long forgotten details of this plot, I just figured out how to pull in Fuu and Hikaru using the same elemental draw I had pulled Umi in with. It could be even more epic if I have all three girls, even if the main goal is to recover Clef before beating Vespasian.
But epic travel fic with a magic restriction through out half of it.
And Clef is THE BEST at shields ever in the history of Cephiro, I swear. Where did this idea come from? No clue, but in my mind he is. I mean, come on, the man held an entire castle together whilst it was under attack and the world was crumbling around it.
Why do I have 15 plots in my head at once? *headdesk*
