Title: Post-Rayearth depression
Post by: Gracita on May 09, 2007, 04:19:04 AM
So I just got done watching the second season of MKR and, although I absolutely loved it and was happy with the ending, I can't help but feel sad. Kinda like when Hikaru, Umi, and Fuu returned to Tokio after their first adventure... I wanna go back!

I guess it is time to return to the real world and deal with finals and school stuff. It's gonna be weird coming home and not having an "unwatched" episode of Rayearth waiting for me in the DVD player...  :'(

... And why did Ferio only say "Take care"?!!! arrrgggg!!!

It is that ending that makes me love the end of the manga so much more.

But the difference in the endigs can lead to some fun alternates for how fanfiction is approached.  ^.^

And have I mentioned that the 'real world' is for losers.  Everyone should live in Cephiro, at Raven's flat, on the TARDIS, or somewhere else that is not in the so called 'real world'.  The real world is boring.

Ferio can be a bit of a dumb ass.

Don't tell her that!!  That is even more depressing.

But Beautiful.  ^.~

the OVA... *coughiconcough* XD (must find that on dvd out here. I want to have it in japanese, not just the english dub. T_T and, uh, not just because of my adoration of Clef's voice actor, nope...) (...I love Megumi Ogata too and she's Emeraude and Eagle? XD)

I rewatch things a lot, especially favourite episodes. ^^ ...and then I bought the music. ...and the new edition of the manga... and then the manga in japanese...

...^^; heh. Or there's fanfiction, but our fandom is so small now... T_T

...which is is meant to be? I. Um. Appear to have no clue and pick a spelling at random. XD;;; (correct spelling and I are not the best of friends? XD)

The Rayearth fandom is lovely! and loyal! And friendly! ...but also kinda tiny. ;_;

But I think a close-knit fandom is much better than a much larger one.
In larger fandoms, it's harder to become an etablished fanfic writer, and in fandoms in which there are more members, also means that there are more knobs.

Doctor Who wasn't on this week, it was Eurovision instead.
But I love Eurovision <3

lol. Very well put!  Although twofold and backwards, that also means less fanficing. Thats my problem with Please Save My Earth and NightWalker and all the other older or lesser known fandoms. No one seems to ever be around and ficing anymore. ::weep::

This is also very true.
I suppose it'll happen to all fandoms one day.
They'll just die out.

but if CLAMP did churn out that rumoured MKR III, there would be a new lease of life into the fandom.
Unfornunately, this will never happen :/

never heard that rumor......

MKR III... Oh, how sweet you'd be! But I think waiting for it will be like waiting for a remake of Chrono Trigger:  pointless :(

On the other hand, watching the OVA might not be such a bad idea. I've seen the first 10 minutes of it only, so maybe that'll give me something to do. hmmmmmm... Oh! and if you guys have any fanfics (dumbest question of the century, of course you do!) you should definitely let me know where to find them, I'd love to read them ^_^

I missed watching Terry Wogan snark at everyone? *WOE* (Dad and I watch it everyyear and give points for ridiculous things. XDDDD)

They may not be writing Rayearth III - but seeing characters in Tsubasa and xxxHolic is something, at least? (And I SWEAR Rayearth is important to those two, even if mainly through themantics...) (*hoping, as always, for Clef to show up. XD*)

Do not even get me started with that.  Now it means the series finale will be aired while I am in Washington D.C. and I don't know that I will be taking my computer and if I do, likely the connection will not be fast enough for a decent download. I'd have to wait a whole two days to watch as I fly home that Sunday. (The horror)

That would be brilliant.  But given the fact that I haven't been keeping up with either for ages now. (as in nearly a year) I wouldn't know what the hell was going on.

In short, I belive the topic at hand is.... GRACITA, WATCH THE OVA.  It is is lovely worth it, and comletely unrelated to anything else.  Sort of like the Utena Movie......but no one turns into cars, though there is random nudity.
