I amalso not happy with classes starting back, but that is how it goes when you are a university student.

Well... I'm back, as well.
I don't know how exactly it happened, but I found myself typing out the URL to this page, and logging in.
I hardly knew what I was doing. I don't really know if I even deserve to be welcomed back. I lost my computer, and since I've gotten it back, I haven't even TRIED going to the places I used to. Like JiveUrinal (Liverjournal, pardon me), DA, even my own email.
But I checked today. I went to all of my old spots today. And I hope to stay here, and all of the other places I love so much.
Small forums are the best. I missed you all.

Mils is right. One person posting makes it more active, which would lead to more people posting. It should be quite contagious...if it works out properly.
Varily as Mils said. So many fandoms pull us else where but its at the heart where we lie that draws us back. What the heck am I even saying?

haha, i know what you mean. i think i've been away from all my forums for like... 2 years or more? o.O oh my gosh. seriously. i mean, HS is seriously busy. not to mention i'm the goddess of crammers, and not even the "good" type of crammer. ugh. i hate myself sometimes. hopefully, i decide to hang around more often now, but i'm not promising anything 'til i manage to fix up my sked and my self-discipline.

Well, crap. I figured there's no harm in posting this separately, but .. wow. It's been much too long since I've been here. =D I'm just kind of .. staring at this box, not really knowing what to write.
I was browsing the rayearth comm, trying to get some icons for a roleplay account (friend convinced me into playing Fuu in a roleplay we're both in. <3), and found out through one of Mills's posts that the place still lived. =D I lost the bookmark when my computer decided it wanted to hate on me, so I was REALLY glad to see it.

Mills - Hope this is all right. =D I don't think my happiness and astonishment could be displayed by replying to the 'i'm back' post.
I'm still here too! Well...somewhat at least. I've been stressed with work a lot lately, which if you work in retail you'll understand. Not to mention I'm still single and with work the way it has been, I have practically no social life, so I can't really meet anybody. As I sit here on AIM with Mils, I should be heeding my own advice. That whole "practice what you preach" stuff.
But...I'm still around, even though it appears that I'm practically gone in some aspects.
Funny how the place died. I'm still around, but not all that often. We get some new blood then nothing, then new people again, and then absolutely nothing happens. Oh, well. So is the life of our fandom.
I was writing a new and difference fic, but it had decided to turn into an original story idea instead. If I ever finish it, and if it ever gets published, I might plug it and ask people to attempt naming the characters.

I fell out of CLAMP's loving bussom and fell into the warm arms of Doctor Who.
Then I totally fell hard for CLAMP all over again this summer and caught up on Tsubasa and what not.

I had completely forgotten about this place until I got an email today about it. I can't believe it's been almost 3 years since I posted here. A lot has happened in that time. Hell, a lot has happened since I joined the forum.
I finally cracked the 30s. I've been building my retro gaming collection to keep my Rayearth Saturn title company. I've added Dracula X: Nocturne in the Moonlight (SotN technically) for the Saturn, Nights Into Dreams, Lufia 2: Rise of the Sinistrals for the SNES, and a title I can be proud of...Earthbound for the SNES. I'll go to Movie Trading Company every now and then and find a gem to add to my collection. I got Earthbound at A-Kon earlier this year though. Forked over $200 for it and it was well worth it. The game works just fine and I got some friends quite jealous in the process. >:)
Recently I've gotten into the whole video game streaming fad. I bought a capture card for my pc and I can actually hook it up to my consoles and cast them online. I even cast on a site where my friends and I have a weekly show on Friday nights. We do a lot of tabletop games, board games and Magic the Gathering. I'll plug that in the appropriate area of the forum.
Since my breakup with my ex-girlfriend, I've been seeing someone else. We've been dating for over a year now and I know that things will turn out better than my last relationship. She goes to UNT and is finishing up her final year. She's been going to cons longer than me. And what's best is that when I go and geek out at something, she's either right there with me or did it before I did.
I quit my job at Starbucks only to go to work for Potbelly. It's a long story as to how me quitting Starbucks came about, but needless to say a decision by the District Manager came back and nearly bit him in the ass and used my boss (and good friend) as a scapegoat and got her fired. Within a month of that happening, I quit. I can't work for some coward that can't fess up to his own mistakes and let an honest person take the fall.
That's my long-winded update. More details to follow when the activity builds back up.
Well, I still haven't hit 30, but a bit has happened for me too since I last actually posted.
I fell into the Doctor Who fandom for a bit, but I think it is my general feeling of "meh" when it comes to Eleven that is letting me fall hard for Rayearth all over again.
I actually finished my English degree, but it plays next to no role in my day job. It's a job I can manage and update a webpage or seven without eating into what little I actually do. This is nice because I am attempting to actually update my old websites, finish my fanfiction WIPs I've left, and actually finish a novel.
I became a home owner last year (which is definitely both a curse and a blessing).
Other than that, nothing interesting to report here.
I.......... don't remember when precisely activity died down here to work out what has changed since, heh. I think it was after I got my degree, though? Then I was ill for a while, got mostly better, am unable to eat most things because I'm now hypersensitive to eeeeeverything. Got a job. Got another job a couple of months ago. Still not doing fulltime hours with the two of them though, and living with parents because a) can't afford to move out, b) all my books fit here! c) someone else does most of the cooking. I hate cooking. XD
.............................I'm STILL writing Protecting You. THE FIC WHICH NEVER ENDS. and which has two sequels to make certain I will be writing this 'verse FOREVER, heh.
At the moment all my brain is going on music theory (exam in a month D:) and fighting the computer systems at Main Job, because we're being the test run for a new system or five. (.......and the department is NOT a particularly computer literate one. That's why they hired me. XD I'm admin with a hidden superpower of tech support? XDD)
I'm closer to 30 than 20, dunno how that happened!

I fell out of the Great MKR Fandom Revival of '06 when I discovered Eureka seveN (I think it was around when Mils got into Doctor Who?) and I tumbled away after that. I've always touched back on Rayearth in my fandom life but the last few years I've desperately fallen back in love with the Animorphs fandom and just had a wild and wonderful affair watching Avatar: The Last Airbender for the first time. I have three super OTPs now that I can never decide on. Fuu/Ferio of course, but also Eureka/Renton from Eureka seveN and Toph/Sokka from Avatar. I think the former two trump Tokka by juuuuust a bit, though. That's enough about my fandomy nonsense.
I graduated from college in spring 2009 with a BA in Spanish Translation and a minor in Marketing, which I'll likely never use. I went to college because it's what I was supposed to do, not because I wanted to Have A Career, so while I learned so so much there and grew so so much during those years and met my husband there, it still sucks having this student debt for a major I never intended to pursue.
ANYWAY I also got married in December 2009! My husband, C., grew up a weeaboo like me and has read the MKR manga since meeting me and really liked it. We started the anime, but I'm so eehhh on it anymore that we never got far!
Gosh. That's really it. I mean yes it's been like six years, I think, since I was active here, but life isn't too wild for me.
