This is so horrible! A while back, I found my Diaryland account from when I was 15 years old, on the Wayback Machine
(it was an online diary before LiveJournal and blogging was even a thing!). It's horribly horribly embarrassing. Some are so embarrassing that I have to share.
Apparently I wrote about when I first got into Rayearth. It's a treat.

It's hard to pick a fav Magic Knight... Hikaru is so kawaii and bold... Umi is so hyper and... me-ish ^^... And I like Fuu as a person... I can draw Fuu pretty good. My Hikaru attempts so far SUCK and my Umi pic was eeeeeeeehhhhhh.... :P Ferio is kuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuute... ::drools:: But not as kute as my Trunksie-poo!

But why did you buy the entire manga when you got the money to blow? Was the entire set not out then?
Oh man, it was probably out. But I didn't know at the time where to get anime or manga if it wasn't at Suncoast. They had some Sailormoon MIXX editions, but that was practically it. Also I was SUPER INTO ANIME more than manga. It took me a while to watch the entire anime series but I still finished it before I fully read the manga.
Also I love how I say I had $30 to blow but that only covered the Evangelion VHS tape. I probably begged my mother to pay for the rest.
My mother was very long-suffering during my weeaboo days.
My parents doesn't approve my obsession with anime and manga either. Especially Saint Seiya. They banned me from watching it back then. Now I collected the entire series on DVD! I am still the only family member who likes anime and manga.
My parents didn't... not approve as much as they just didn't understand.
Though it wasn't anything completely new (before anime I was really into Sonic SatAM and Animorphs at different times), I went through the whole obsessed-teenager-WATCH-ALL-THE-ANIMES phase that's quite annoying, so that was something kind of... new for them to put up with.
Oh my goodness! I was into Animorphs too! But only read a few of the books because the studying pressure in HK is too much.
