A place to hide the cake
Part of a magician act
A projectile to throw at bad stage acts/people making puns
Part of a game of keep-away
One of those bowls to keep decorative balls in that used to be popular for some reason
A shield
A magic artifact with a +20 adorable enhancement
A floatation device

What else can you do with it?

Some sort of Russian Nesting Doll deal where taking off one hat just reveals a slightly smaller hat (or even a slightly smaller Ascot ;) )
