My fanfic journal is withextrahappy, though I unfortunately haven't posted any Rayearth fics there yet. (But if you're into Animorphs or The Outsiders, there's something there for you!) My regular journal, aikochan, is linked to in the userinfo. I also have an icon journal and an original fiction writing journal but hardly ever update them, so they're not really worth linking to. (PS, I also have The Other Journal, which is about 65% friends-locked and kept rather secret from all but two or three people who read my regular journal. Bwa ha ha.)

That's very lovely... the profiles are quite elegant. And the branches in the border are beautiful! Great job, it's so pretty. :3

I can pretty much echo everything suzanami said - our tastes run quite similar in the anime/manga department. But I'll try to add some of my own comments, har.

I'm not sure that Escaflowne is actually my favorite, but it's the best anime I've ever seen. It has a presence and a power to it that draws the viewer in so intensely; the art is beautiful and the music is absolutely stunning; and the characters, oh good heavens. The characters in this series are so, so real and complex and rich and textured that it drives me crazy. They are dynamic, living people with dynamic, real relationships, and I absolutely love that. Not to mention the pacing is perfect. The show doesn't dawdle around and waste time, but rather takes care of the story in just as much time as is necessary. And sweet mother of mercy, few anime have broken my heart as many times as this one has. (And if it can break your heart, you know it's good.)

Ashita no Nadja is just a beautiful, beautiful little story. The anime definitely has its share of fillers, and there were times when I wished we'd just get on with the story, but even the filler episodes are enjoyable because the cast is so enjoyable. I don't believe I've ever encountered a cast of characters that works together as wonderfully and seamlessly as this one does. And once the plot picks up around the middle of the series, there's hardly any time to breathe. Nadja broke my heart and filled me with such soaring excitement at least as much as Escaflowne, and I spent the better part of the last two episodes in tears. This is another stunning series which throws out twists and surprises like crazy, and I adore it.

Tenchi Muyo!, the OVA version, is my favorite of the Tenchi series. To me, the characters are at their best here. They seem far more real and intricate - Tenchi isn't as much of a jerk as in the other series, Aeka's a far more sympathetic character, and the backstories of Ryoko, Washuu, Sasami, and Mihoshi are far more interesting and detailed. I love the character relationships, I love the history, I love the interactions. I just wish they'd finish the darn thing.

I'm known at FF.net as - surprise surprise - Aiko-chan. I'm afraid I don't have any recent Rayearth fics, only old and yucky ones. Pockets Full of Posies is the least offensive, I think, but even that needs some serious revamping.

Currently I'm in the process of rewriting Standing on the Sky (which is so dreadfully melodramatic as it stands), as well as writing the first draft of my latest multi-chapter alternate-universe Rayearth fic, since that seems to be all I can write for this fandom!

Nothing much more to say about that, except that I do wish I wrote short Rayearth pieces more often. They're just more difficult, for some reason. I can churn out Animorphs and The Outsiders short fics like nuts, but with Rayearth they just all have to be 10+ chapters. Ugh!  ::)

Yami no Yume / Re: Extracurricular?

I selected Performing Arts, since that's where most of my activities and obligations lie, but I'm involved in academic and other areas as well.

Most of my time is divided between academics (primarily for my English class, which is AP, demanding, and a complete thrill for this little girl who wants to major in English this fall), speech and debate (my passion; I'm a speech geek extraordinaire), drama club (I'm currently crossing the gender line to be one of the baseball players in Damn Yankees - fun for all!), and heading up the editorial staff of our school's literary magazine.

I have no idea when I got so busy. I used to do nothing - and I really mean nothing. No activites, no staying after school... then last year all of a sudden I was there all the time, and this year I might as well live at my school for as much time as I spend there. Good heavens. I've also been on a puppetry team through my old church for the past nine and a half years, but I've been weaning myself from that particular area as others become more demanding, though I still love puppetry.

I also dabble in singing in my school's a'cappella choir, but that doesn't take up enough time to be part of my stress-inducing, ulcer-causing schedule. Har!

In my free time (which I manage to have now and again!), I read and reread voraciously, sketch and draw, dabble in cooking, drink tea, write fanfics and original fiction and terrible self-indulgent poetry, test new musical waters, try desperately to keep up a solid exercise pattern, and waste time on the Internet.

Also, in case you had not noticed, I am excessively long-winded. I think it may be a disease of some sort because it's nearly impossible to control. Usually I just have to cut myself short. Like this!

Romansu no Mori / Re: Fanfiction Challenges

I've been trying to get myself into writing shorter MKR fanfics - unfortunately, all my ideas for this series tend to be multi-chaptered fics that I never have time to write. Maybe some prompts and challenges would motivate shorter pieces... Hm.  ;)

Aw, Ferio-plushie. Such love. You really ought to share pictures of your life-size Ferio cardboard cut-out: that is a sign of obsession,  my dear.

Hello there! I'm suzanami's sister who finally dragged herself on over here.

Rayearth has a special place in my heart. And it was the first series I actually saw in full! I've discovered along the way that I do like some anime better than the MKR anime, but Rayearth in and of itself is probably still my favorite. (If that makes any sense.)

I've never been part of a group of MKR fans before, so I'm really looking forward to participating in that here. Nice to meet you all!
