Ha, when I think about it, MKR is the only fandom I keep coming back to no matter how many times I try to leave it.  Seriously.  When I left Prince of Tennis, it was for good.  When I left Nadesico, it was for good.  Leaving MKR for good?  IMPOSSIBLE.  No matter how many times I've tried.  ^^;;;

Yay, that's nice to hear, that I helped pique Eagle interest.    Eagle = my most favoritest character in MKR, despite all my Geo-centric fanfics.  Eh-heh.  And I know what you mean about writing about the boy, or writing him in fics.  It's haaaaaaaaaaaaaard.  Silly little enigmatic boy. 

AND YES ZAZU/ASCOT IS THE EPITOME OF CUTE CRACK NON-CANON AWESOMENESS.  It's on my list of MKR fanfics to tackle over the next few months after finishing my Jade Empire multi-chapter.  I think it's like.  Third.  Or fourth.  On my list of WANT TO WRITE fics.

Hehe, I've actually loved the idea of Geo/Tatra for a long while.  The idea, to me, is just too sickeningly cute to avoid.  I mean, I love my Geo/Eagle, but that just gets to be too angsty sometimes.  Geo/Tatra would not necessarily be angsty, and uber uber cute.

... maybe because in a way, Tatra reminds me of what a female!Eagle would be like.  Except, you know, sans a death wish.  Therefore, sans the angst.  *lol*  (I love angst, don't get me wrong, but sometimes I just want a happy, fluffy fic, and I think Geo/Tatra would be just that.  I've wanted to write a fic for them for a long time, but I can't seem to ever come up with a good way to get them together.  D: Curse non-canon pairings, making my life difficult!  though for some reason it was a lot easier for me to write a Zazu/Ascot fic without too much trouble....... I just lost motivation to finish it ^^;)

Along the lines of Lafarga/Caldina, I am surprised more people don't write about them.  Or draw them.  Maybe I'll try my hand at writing a fic about them, just to increase the number of fics there are about them, because, uh, I think Aska/Sang Yung might have more fics dedicated to them.  ^^;  (Another couple I adore, but... Lafarga and Caldina are more established canon than Aska and Sang Yung! *flails*)

I voted for Lafarga/Caldina because out of all the pairings on the list, this is a pairing that I'd be inspired to write and I'd read only from a summary that might say nothing more than "Lafarga/Caldina!"  I'd read the others, but the summary had better be interesting to pull in.  Besides, I think they're really, really cute.  I just remember the blushing cuteness that was in the manga when Caldina was asked why she stuck around Cephiro instead of going back to Chizeta, and I smile.  Seriously, WTF, Lafarga was blushing.  It blew me away, like if CLAMP ever drew Lantis blushing.  I think I'd be a Lantis/Hikaru fanatic if they drew Lantis blushing.  (To be honest, I do like Lantis/Hikaru, I really do... but more of a "I'll accept this as canon" way and I prefer it over Eagle/Hikaru anyway.)

I actually don't see the invaders as villain-ish... antagonists, perhaps, enemies, but not villains.

Besides, as much as I love the invaders, they didn't make good "bad guys" anyway.  Probably because of the point CLAMP drove home with the ending of the first half, and they continue that through the second half.

In which case, my vote went straight for crazy!angry!revenge-shall-be-mine!Emeraude.

Uh.  WOW.  First of all, didn't see that one coming.  Second of all, what a B.A.  I honestly think that character, that villain, defines what MKR is all about because it is with her appearance that we realize we were dead wrong about what was going on in Cephiro, and it is with her death that we realize what the TRUE legend of the Magic Knights were.  MKR wouldn't be what it is without crazy!Emeraude.

1. The first character I first fell in love with
Ever?  Umi. Hands down, I <3 Umi when I was first introduced to the series, and I still <3 her now. 

2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now
To be completely honest, Geo.  I was 7~8 years old when I first watched MKR--the only characters I even cared about at that age were Hikaru, Umi, and Fuu.  The "bad guys" I didn't really even notice.  But I was reintroduced to MKR at the age of 14 during my yaoi!love stages of fandom-ness, and there was Geo, and then there was love for the series again through my Autozam boys.  Gradually, I fell for all the rest of the invaders, too, each of them equally surprising that I love so much now.

3. The character everyone else loves that I don't
Er.  Uh.  I don't hate any of the characters, except for probably Alycione (but then, hardly anyone seems to), but I'm reeeeally apathetic towards Hikaru and Fuu and Clef.  I don't hate them, I like them, but I don't love them the way the rest of the fandom seems to.

4. The character I love that everyone else hates
... er.  Lafarga?  I don't think people really hate him, though.  Primera, probably.  I don't love her, but I don't hate her to the extent most people in the fandom seems to.  So, I guess, Primera.

5. The character I used to love but don't any longer
Mrrrrrrrr... Ascot?  Again, I don't hate him, but... I don't know.  Someone write a friggin' Zazu/Ascot fic already and I'll probably love the boy again! *lol* (Don't mind me and my crack-pairings...)

6. The character I would shag anytime
... Geo.  Duh.  Or Eagle.  Both at the same time?  No?  Damn.

7. The character I'd want to be like
I'm pretty sure I'm already a lot like Umi, but... Umi.

8. The character I'd slap
Um, um, there are times when I really wanted to slap Aska but I love her so I would never.  Alycione?  Angsty!Hikaru?  I dun knoooooow. *flails*

9. A pairing that I love
... Geo/Eagle uh duh.  But lately I've been falling into the Geo/Tatra camp, and I want to write a Geo/Tatra fic, so... yeeeeah.  I'm also weirdly into Eagle/Umi, as it turns out.  And then there's my crack!pairing Zazu/Ascot which honestly came to me out of nowhere.  I also ADORE Aska/Sang Yung, and Lafarga/Caldina.

10. A pairing that I despise 
... BOTH Clef/Umi and Ascot/Umi, actually.  *lol* Who would I pair Umi up with instead?  Well, while I do love Eagle/Umi I would only read it, never write it, and there are times when I think it'd be fun pairing Umi up with Kakeru, the youngest of Hikaru's older brothers, because he seems to be a fiery one and I seem to like couples who argue all the time... I think it's the Han/Leia complex.  ^^;  I really don't know.

Uh... most of my stuff is Autozam-centric.  Big surprise.  A lot of that stuff I don't recommend reading, actually... the fics I'm most proud of are the ones I didn't write for the fandom, and the one fic I am proud of for the fandom isn't worth reading because I lost all my notes on the fic and so the likelihood of me continuing it is small.  ^^;

I do have a few not!invader-centric fics, though.  I have a kiiiiiiiiiiind of vaaaaaaguely Clemi fic (Never Return), a protest fic to all the Mary Sue-ish "old Knights" story (Reconciliation), and a small series of fics that are related to Hikaru's brothers (Lion Heart and... a couple of other side stories.  And a discontinued sequel.)

... haha, anymore, my other fandoms of love are Bioware video games... but here are other anime/manga I love to death:

- Martian Successor Nadesico - CRACK, but with a serious plot as it goes on.  Also has a MKR-type twist, which I hope isn't spoiling too much, and it's the reason why I love the series so much, even if my favorite character had to go and die in the fourth episode of 26.     Its humor is based on parodies of anime and sci-fi things, and here's another series where the side characters are my favorite.  ^^;
(And this is one of the few series where I like the anime more than the manga.  Manga is too... bleh... but the anime is LOVE.)

- Get Backers - LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE.  I'm not too into the fandom anymore but I still love it with all my heart.  I haven't read much of the manga, but the anime is great, and my opinion is formed on the anime.  LOVE IT.

- FAKE - like cheesy yaoi?  Like utterly predictable and cheesy detective stories?  How does two gay New York cops sound to you?  Then FAKE is for you!  Ironically, my favorite couples are the het ones (Berkeley/Diana and Bikky/Carol), and my favorite character is the freakin' woman of the bunch (Diana is a BAMF), but still.  I like.  Has its fair share of crack and wangst and violence and sexiness.  The art takes a while to get used to, but once you get used to it, <3!

- Prince of Tennis - my long ago crack!fandom.  Kinda stopped watching once it started to deviate too much from the manga, and stopped reading the manga when my grandmother quit sending me new volumes.  And so, I'm way out of the loop with this fandom now.  Funny thing is, I got into it because I thought that one of the characters, Momoshiro, was like a teenage!Geo.  Go figure.  I'm way too predictable.

SQUEE.? MKR forums that's not FF.net.? I've wanted this for a good, er, 7 years now?? I've been in the fandom THAT long?!? Holy smokes.? I'm old.? T_T

I'm Bearit, the resident invader fanatic.? Autozam being my absolute favorite of the three, but I'd kill to get my hands on fanfics and fanart that focus on the other two countries, too.? Naturally, my top 3 favorite characters are Eagle, Geo, and Tatra or Zazu depending on the day.? That's not to say that I don't love the other characters--Umi is my favorite Knight, though that's probably the norm in the fandom.? *lol*?

Anyway, I'm so excited to be joining the forums!? Finally, I get to fangirl over MKR again!

(My old fangirling buddies have moved on... I did, too, for a bit, but now I'm back and they're gone and wah.? ? And my newest fandom there's practically nobody to fangirl with since.? By chance, anybody love the game Jade Empire?? Or KotOR (I and/or II)?? ... prolly not. *sigh*)
