I played through the SNES version.  It was entertaining enough, though nothing spectacular.

The Saturn version... well, that's what got me into Rayearth in the first place :)   It's certainly not the greatest game either, but I had a lot of fun with it (I found it to be much, much better than the SNES game).  The cutscenes are pretty, and you get a fair bit of story/character interaction unique to the game.  And I got the Fuu disc... <3 Fuu!

Nice!  That looks really good  :)

You should get make feather-headband like what Fuu often wears... <3

While nothing Rayeath is playing right now (It's moved on to "Lilia" from Ys, which is a little obscure), it was playing... the acoustic version of Unyielding Wish a few minutes ago  :P

And one of my friends has been trying to get me to watch Lost, something I've been tempted to do once I finish with finals.

Nice site indeed.

Snagged one of the icons there, too.  I'm hoping you don't mind :)

My two favorites ever are easy enough to think of, and both of which have already been mentioned... those being Princess Mononke and Escaflowne.

The first time I saw Mononoke was, amusingly, on a tape a friend let me borrow that had the last couple fansubbed episodes of the second season of Rayearth.  It was the first time I had seen a Miyazaki movie, and I LOVED it.  So much so that I took a bunch of friends who wanted to see it on a 3 hour drive up to Seattle when it was released in theaters :)  I've since seen all of Miyazaki's other moves, several of which I like quite a lot, though none as much as Mononoke.

Now, Escaflowne... Mmm, I *almost* like this one more than Rayearth.  I love the story, characters, and everything else :)  I suppose there were a few things I didn't particularly care for (parts of the last couple of episodes, a character or two), but on the whole, definately something I think everyone needs to see.  And the music... ah, easily my favorite anime soundtrack, or soundtrack in general, that I can think of.  If only the movie had been better, and had done something else rather than just trying to retell the same story in 90 minutes, but at least it also had incredible music!

Other than that... Crest of the Stars, and Banner of the Stars, come to mind.  Generally quite good with well done characters, though they do tend to spout out quite a bit of techno-babble at times.

This thread was begging for a Ferio icon :)

The plushie is pretty darn cute, but that cardboard Ferio... Wow.  Just wow :)  How long did it take your friend to make that?

So how did you find this particular Rayearth board?  We're glad to have you.  Bring your friends. ^.~

I found it from your post on the Rayeath Livejournal, and noticed it was actually fairly active, unlike most of the other ones I've stumbled accross over the years :)

It's true!  I haven't had access to a lot of my stuff, since most of it is at home while I'm away at school :(   Fortunately, I at least have most of the music and this support group board to fend off the cravings.

*looks around*  I exist?... *ponders briefly*  Hmm, I suppose I do!

I meant to post whenever I made the account, but got sidetracked by a project... But better late than never, I suppose ? :)

I first got into Rayearth back on the Sega Saturn game (something I'd definately recommend playing, though I imagine it's hard to find by now).  I liked that well enough to go out and buy the first season of the anime (dubbed, bleh, what was I thinking), and then sat around waiting for the season 2 DVD's to be released, and bought those as soon as it came out.  After watching that, I became... I don't want to say fanatic, but I'm posting on a random MKR board, so I suppose that's a good a term as any  :P

So, I guess my favorite characters are Clef, Fuu, and, well, Eagle... and I don't favor any particular pairing... though Clef and Fuu?  Hmmm...

Can't think of anything else to mention off hand... so off to bed.
