I guess I have to have my moments where I'm active for so long and then go straight into hibernation for far too long. Gotta be more active though. Going to try too.

That's pretty much the mood I've been in lately. Then again, I totally forgot about the forums. I know, I know...I'm a horrible person. Just been occupied. Not really an excuse either. I really need to be more active.
But hey...at least you know I'm alive, right?

Ok. I'll be recording my first test video on my next day off. I think I have everything set up the way I need it. I'll see how it turns out and I'll put it on YouTube. I think I'll make a special account just for on this forum.

If you haven't been keeping up with the Sega Saturn Magic Knight Rayearth thread, I intend to do a playthrough. Well, I thought I was going to have to spend some money to buy a composite/component adapter and some component cables in order to hook my Saturn up to a capture card. As it turns out, I can hook the composite cables up to the card and it captures the video and audio just fine.
I'll do a test recording in a few days to see how it turns out. All that said, I'll probably need to decide if I want to do commentary or not.

Hate doing another double post, but disregard all the technical BS in the previous post. As it turns out, I don't need to go through all of those hoops to record gameplay. I could start it up right now, if I wanted to.
I'm going to wait a couple of days to get some things in order and then I'll try to do some recording. I'm actually getting excited. I get to record my first playthrough AND I don't have to spend any more money to make it happen.

Alright, I should be able to get it on YouTube. I'm not 100% sure when I'll start it up as I need to buy the appropriate items to try and get my Saturn connected to my capture card so I can record it. Essentially I need to buy adapters and cables to make a composite (R/W/Y) cable connect to component (R/G/B) and not look like utter trash.
I just need to save up the money for that as it's not necessarily cheap, but it will allow me to actually get this done. I don't want to try and do this from an emulator. I have the console and the game. I want to do this in it's purest form...with a little bit of current technology too. XD

I'm actually sitting at Quakecon in Dallas right now. It sucks though cause a lot of my friends weren't able to go due to some mishaps.

Wasn't sure if I should bump this thread up or start a new one...so I bumped it...obviously.
I was thinking about doing a play-through of the Saturn MKR game. It's been a long time since I played it and got 100% on it. Been wanting to replay it. The question I should ask is if you all would want to watch it live or watch it on YouTube?
The problem with watching it live is that I could go live when you aren't available to watch. The problem with watching it on YouTube is waiting for me to make a video recording and posting it.
So I pose this to anyone that is interested. Live or YouTube?

I'm working on it. Just need to make sure I get into a routine of posting at least someone once a day. Then I'll be good. I just hope I don't procrastinate posting. The minute I do that...I'll sink into that hole of inactivity again.

General Discussion / Re: Coffee appreciation thread.

After working for Starbucks for nearly 6 years...I can't help but feel I've become desensitized by coffee...in both the smell and the caffeine. It just doesn't have the same effect it once did. Of course, when it did have an effect on me...I would break out into a sweat when I had only one shot of espresso in my drink. That was a fun shift. Then there was the time where I drank an entire can of Red Bull on a 10-minute break...first time I had a Red Bull too. Yet another fun shift there. The surge of caffeine made me plow through drinks faster than I had ever gone. XD
But, after all of that, when I do go to Starbucks before work...I have to have either a Tall White Mocha or a Solo Grande White Mocha.

Aww thanks. I know it's late, but a belated happy birthday to you all as well.
I really should disengage Lurk Mode.
Hey...wait a minute...I think I just did!

Well, it didn't necessarily happen today, but I figured I'd mention it.
I got my tickets for the upcoming Video Games Live concert happening in January. I ordered two and I'm taking the girl I'm dating with me. Which, funny story, she's someone Mils went to high school with.

Ahh, it's not a big deal. And you're welcome.
I should really do the same, but my problem is that I'm just too lazy.

That's easy enough to fix. All you need is a CR2032 battery for the Saturn. Pop open the slot on the back of the console and you should see where the battery goes and you're good to go.
This makes me wish I had the backup memory card. It's very difficult to find those and if you do find one, it isn't cheap.
