OVA DVD Glitch

Anyone else have the problem where the OVA DVD freezes when Ascot attacks when it is played in Japanese, but in English there is no pause or anything?

Or am I the only one with a crappy copy?

Only learnt this because I am watching it dubbed for the first time in ages because I was too lazy to change the settings.

Mine are fine, but also not USA ones.

Mind you, my first copy of the anime was missing the episode where Umi fights Tatra and Tarta, so I have not avoided the glitches altogether? (MAN that was annoying)
