What's the most blatant trick you've used to increase your word count for NaNo?

What's the most blatant trick you've ever used to increase your word count for NaNoWriMo? (A trick being anything that you know in advance is unlikely to remain when you go back and edit the story.)

For me, it would have to be using the chapter title to give a lengthy - almost item-by-item - summary of the chapter.
Of course I'm normal...I'm 90 degrees off from the rest of the world.

I think the only thing I've really had a tendency to do is avoid contractions.  which makes the dialogue sound really awkward :p  but it helps a little!

There's also the option of rewriting the entire scene again when it just didn't feel right.  So rather than editing, you rewrite the same 500 word scene in a different way. Then you have like seven versions of the same scene you have to consolidate when you finally get to the point of actually editing...  which is less fun.
