Question on canon~ (help, please!)

I don't have any access to the Tokyopop translations of Rayearth at the moment - either of them ^^; - being in japan, and I try to stick to the official translations for things as much as possible, as long as they're not TOO stupid. (It helps stop readers being confused. I mean, my prose can be confusing enough on its own, it doesn't need random references they don't understand to help it...)

So if someone could check what the flying hover-things in Autozam are called, I'd be grateful!  ^^; It's in the third volume of Rayearth 2 ~ it's just called a hover (...well. 'hobaa', technically. XD) in the japanese, so...

(also, if anyone has any good fic recs for either Zazu stories, or NOT Asmi Ascot-centric stories...? (Well. Unrequited Asmi is fine. I just... I can't read Umi-is-in-love-with-Ascot. ^^;;;;;;;;; ) I feel like doing some, uh, research... XD)

Are you talking about what Eagle borrows from Geo?  If so, he refers to it as a 'bike'. Which I think is just a silly name for it.

If I were you, I would call it what your feel it should be called, as long as it feel real. But that is just me.

The thing he borrows from Geo he call a 'baiku' in japanese, as well (which, yes, possibly going to ignore as a name...)- the thing he hands the card for to Lantis he calls something else?

though. I can so see Eagle giving Geo's bike-thing to Lantis then having to buy Geo a new one. *laughs*



Naming things is like my FATAL FLAW, I'm that bad at it. XD (Seriously. Most of the names in PY? Are old english or danish names for places in the uk, because I had a historical novel with a places list in it beside me when I was writing out character lists. XDD)
