Education and Technology in Cephiro

Cephiro appears to be an idyllic medieval world, however, I always have a feeling that it is more advanced than it looks, or I hope it is or else the knights would have a hard time to get used to Cephiro! Maybe there would be some technology.

I wonder how educated the people would be? Would there be equivalents of Maths and Science? Are there any academia?

Fuu would enjoy talking to the academics of Cephiro, she must be the one who likes learning new things.

Any headcanons?

To love another person is to see the face of God.

Greater love got no man than he, who lay down his life for his friends.

Well, mathematics and science both pre-date the medieval world, along with various other academic disciplines - the oldest universities in the world are far earlier. So yes, I think it's going to have learning. Especially as with the comparative ease of living (good harvests every year and so on) there should be the time for children to study. We know that there are specialised jobs - priest, mage, swordsperson etc - which all need periods of training/apprenticeship, so there must be varying levels of study.

There could be a school system (I'd say there's at least the equivalent of medieval 'song schools' in the villages. But then there was a school recorded in MY village by at least 1200 so. XD) Whether there is also a university-type institution, or apprenticeship system within trades/guilds, or a mix, well. Up to the writer! XDD

I like a mix, based on the various things people are training for - people like clerks and judges and certainly priests are more likely to have centralised college/university systems, while mages (as we see with Clef) are more likely to have apprentices, individual teachers with a handful of
students, thought whether they have any central council or something which organises this or it's down to individuals is again up for debate~

Then again, this is ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL blatantly my headcanon, it's ALLLLLL up for debate, but WITHIN THIS HEADCANON that's up for
debate. XDD and it's very much from a medievalist's point of view, because that's how I think~

(And anyone who wants my personal take on it needs to wait for me to get PY finished and start posting Burden because IT'S ALL PART OF THE PLOT. I am slightly addicted to world-building and the thoughts about the economic and political changes started by the events of Rayearth 2 would effect things like this and er yes)
