Tea Appreciation Post

The Coffee thread is getting over run with talk of tea, so I thought we could have a new thread for tea, for those of us who have a problem.

I've actually cut back on tea lately, probably more by accident than anything.  This whole babysitting thing means I don't have quite the same routine as I used to.  I used to have nearly 3 pints of tea before lunchtime if I wasn't careful.  Because we had huge polystyrene cups at the nursery, and I would make giant cups of tea multiple times.

Now, I just don't manage tea some mornings, because I wake up late and have to rush out of the house.  I need to work on that. Because tea is good. Though, I do have to watch the amount of caffeinated stuff I have later in the day or I don't sleep.

Tea! I love tea! I love tea so much it's as if I am British.

I'm all about black tea, sometimes I go loose leaf but about 99% I just use a tea bag.

I drink several cups of tea each day especially when I'm at my parents' house because my dad is like some non-stop tea making machine. It's like "Ah, yes, I shall return to my own home now" and then my dad walks in with another cup of tea, haha.

Although, right this second I am drinking ginger tea, it's alright.
Should have wished for unicorns.

I'm a black tea addict myself.I drink at least 3 cups of brewed black tea everyday :D
I like linden, rosehip or sage tea also, but I don't drink them much,I tend to use tea bags for them.

Tea! My favourites used to be a really nice strong golden assam tea and then english breakfast was good too then oh well whatever just let me add a bit more sugar.

I have some white tea to test and see if I can drink that at some point. Also a couple of types of ginger, and chamomile, but at the moment the only thing I'm drinking is peppermint - of the kind which is literally only peppermint. It's grown on me?

I have no idea how many cups of tea I drink when staying with Down, given everyone just keeps offering me tea once I've run out.  It's glorious.

That is a strong love of tea. Might want to cut back, though, people might start thinking you are actually British.

I can get behind this thread 100%! I hope noone minds that I'm gonna resurrect it!

I loooove black tea like hell yeah! I drink mostly Assam and Yunan but am always game for other kinds!
My tea schedule (yeah I just said that) generally goes green tea in the morning, black tea for everydays, white tea for sad days, and spicy chai tea for cold days :3

Almost green tea or herb tea.
Because I have hypersensitivity reaction about caffeine.
:'(
I can't drink coffe or black tea.
Family or friends are trying to kid with my physical constitution

I'm sorry to say that my guzzling of tea days may be over to some extent.  At least when it comes to black tea.  The amount of caffeine is currently affecting my anxiety levels and that's just disappointing.

I am currently in love with Clipper Green Tea and Mint.  It's lovely.  I have been having at least two cups a day of it lately. Then some sort of herbal tisane in the evening.

I was enjoying my ice tea at work today until I read your post in the rewatch thread and nearly spat it out laughing.  ;D
Legend says when you can't sleep,
it's because you're awake in someone else's dream.
So that's why I can never sleep properly...
Who the bloody hell is dreaming about me because so help me God,
I will smother them in the face with a throw pillow.

I am currently making some tea in a honey jar, because I really like this particular tea with honey and the jar only had the final dredges which are best removed by brewing tea in it, so it doesn't go to waste.

I never have milk in my tea any more unless I am having biscuits. I love tea.

I'm now running low on one of the teas I really liked from Teavana so I have looked up the ingredients so I could try to work out how to make my own when I am completely out. It was such a nice tea.  But between the fact that they all have 'natural flavor' as an ingredient, and I would have to order rather a lot if I wanted it shipped over, it is more sensible to just put my own together.

There were two that were very nice together, and looking at the ingredients, I can see why.

Samurai Chai Mate:
Green maté, rooibos, cinnamon, candied pineapple pieces (pineapple, sugar), candied papaya pieces (papaya, sugar), orange peels, natural flavor, lemongrass, anise seed, coriander, cardamom.

White Ayurvedic Chai:
White tea, cinnamon, lemongrass, candied pineapple pieces (pineapple, sugar), candied coconut pieces (coconut, sugar), ginger pieces, cloves, natural flavor, black pepper, cardamom.

Though, looking at the website, I see they are now offering a blend of Samurai Chai with a newer blend called Maharaja Chai Which sounds interesting.

Maharaja Chai:
Cinnamon, oolong tea, ginger, carob pieces, chicory root, natural flavor, black pepper, cloves, cardamom.

Again with the natural flavors....  *rolls eyes*  But I will have to play with some of my own blends.  I'll post a recipe if I work out something nice.

I've been on a jasmine green tea kick lately.
