And now I am sat re-drawing the map of the UCA for my fic, which I've been meaning to do for an age, because my old version is spoilery as anything and also I've moved a half-dozen lands. XD Of course, I can't stop laughing, because being naff at titles/names I nicked most of them from a Bernard Cornwell book - a lot are old-english names for places in the uk - and this means that I have the Isle of Wright higher than London... And somehow the Wash is between London and the Thames... (actually, it's rather like the USA. XD)

(This had to be done today because I'm trying to sense-check my politics for geography. All I can say is, I am GLAD I am not Schwarzem or whoever the rep from Cynuit is, heh. Overlapping spheres of influence~)

I'm currently chatting a man from Russia that reminds me so much of Clef. _{At least fandom Clef.} (I'm using a chat program that randomly selects someone for you to talk to.)

He is multilingual (original language Russian, fluent in English, knows some Japanese, and many other languages) He actually studies linguistics.

He paused in the middle of our chat to go get a cup of tea XDD

He has been asking me about the books I read and the languages I know.

Last week I got promoted to CSM which means I am finally off the returns register after almost two years.  The downside is that I'm the closing CSM which means I always close starting now until forever.  Luckily we close at 8:00pm.  Today is the first time in at least six months that I work 4:00-close.  Which is awesome.  A four-hour shift?  I will take it!  All I really have to do is get codes for my cashiers and clean up the floral department.

The best part is that I still get up at nine but I've got a few hours to just relax and bum around the house.  This is perfect.

Well, it didn't necessarily happen today, but I figured I'd mention it.

I got my tickets for the upcoming Video Games Live concert happening in January.  I ordered two and I'm taking the girl I'm dating with me.  Which, funny story, she's someone Mils went to high school with.

Sucessfully parallel parked the car! a decent 20cm from pavement!

Not quite as awesome as tickets for dates or promotions or anything but VERY SATISFYING. >D

(I- I don't HAVE many new shows I get so hooked to that I have to actually watch them week by week! Currently I have two: Merlin and Lewis. ....Next season of Lewis is a) aimed to be the last therefore I am worried about his SURVIVAL and b) not on until next april or something. BUT MERLIN IS AWESOME AND RIDICULOUS AND I LOVE IT AND AM TERRIFIED AT THE SAME TIME BECAUSE THIS IS ARTHURIAN LEGEND, WHICH COMES WITH THE ENDING BUILT IN? BUT I LOVE IT they play with all the arthurian tropes and medieval things which make my heart SING while deliberately playing with the historical nature of it enough that my medievalist mind can let go of all the things which AREN'T right because THEY AREN'T MEANT TO BE)

Because of your giddiness over Merlin, I've started watching, Down.   I'm about 6 episodes in?  Maybe more. I love it. 

I had a hallowe'en party with a group of friends. We had a great time.

I would have said that getting my Scenario book made my day, but the postal worker didn't ring the bell, and just dropped off the slip I have to take to the post office on Monday to pick my parcel up.  Bleh.   I was in my towel after a shower, and the alarm was on or I might have jogged after her to get it.
