What made your day today?

Again, should have posted a couple days ago - but I got to see A. the house I'm moving into in June (IT'S ADORABLE AND I LOVE IT FLAIL FLAIL MY BEDROOM IS PERFECT) and B. the cats my housemats are adopting (THEY ARE PERFECT I LOVE THEM).

Today it's finally warm, spring-like weather and I'm wearing a skirt and I ate some chocolate-covered honeycomb so really, could this day get any better? I think not.

What made my day today?  NEW MEMBER!!!  That is always exciting. We need to figure out a way to explode confetti and make things more exciting for new joining members who POST!!   OMG!  Posting the day one joins? That?s always an exciting shock!

Best thing about the day, which is easy, since today included breaking into my garage again because of a power outage, a killer migraine, and a lack of WORDS....

I apparently have ignited my tea addiction again.  I don?t realise how badly off I am until I don?t drink my pot a day and am left with a terrible headache.  Stupid caffeine withdrawal.   I need to be better about either weaning myself off it again, or at least drinking my maintenance cup/pot a day.

But I wanted to announce what has truly made my day today.  I made it through an entire day--first weekday in months--without any real pain.  I took no medication. I was practically pain free all day. It was glorious.  (short lived as my leg is trying make up with it with stabbing pain in my thigh, but who cares. It?s tomorrow now.)

Now back to your regularly scheduled fandom flailing.

This was yesterday, but I successfully wrangled people into doing everything I needed them to at work for us to go back to normal as scheduled on Monday! (ignoring the potential problem one of the team raised at half five friday. That was an oversight before I was in the job, not my fault, so I'm STILL COUNTING THE VICTORY)

This old cartoon (series of shorts) from the 1996 Tamagotchi line.  I keep watching it and it keeps making me grin.  There's a running anime in Japan for the current line, but the Tamas are kind of designed to be good cartoon characters instead of being good sprites in the game now, so they all look boring and the same. D:  This old cartoon is SO FREAKING CUTE THOUGH.  I can't get over Nyorotchi's voice!

My friend had extra copies of the original MKR manga (from a swap or something?) and sent them to me.  I insisted he let me pay for shipping but I'M REALLY EXCITED.  I can't read Japanese save for a few things here and there, but IT'S SO PRETTY and the covers feel so neat, they're dust jackets over the paperback cover and are slightly textured.  It has the Bonus Stage omake in the back and everything. 

I know it's not off-topic, but it made my day and I can't justify making a whole new thread about it XD

Recently: new job! Again. This is totally what I get for saying in chapter that the next one would be soon because my brain wasn't going to be eaten by a new job, isn't it. Ooooooops... But I like it better than the last three months so far so YAY.

Wow, they are exactly like the copies I have in Hong Kong when it first came out. I might have mentioned that I never bought the volumes when it was still popular around 1995-1996, but managed to track them down in a second hand dealer last year (sadly these dealers are closing down one by one due to the ridiculous property prices that push small individidual businesses out of business).

I don't have to work on Saturday!  That means I'll have a three day weekend since we're closed Sundays and I R/O'd Monday to play Animal Crossing New Leaf for my birthday.  My manager's over on hours this month (lots of resets and whatnot lately) so he's cutting wherever he can.  I almost didn't get cut since I'm a CSM and get codes for cashiers so the managers on duty don't have to (it makes their job easier) but in the end he decided it was worth it XD  (it's only a four-hour shift, so I'm not losing much on my paycheck and tbh the little vacation at such a perfect time is worth it to me)
