How's everyone doing on this exciting first day?

My personal goal on Day 1 is always 5000 words because I know there will be bad writing days to come and I wanna get that padding in while I can!  Luckily I am off work today so I stayed up late (I have to write at midnight!) and got about 2500 out, then this afternoon I got in another 2500 or so.  I'm just barely over 5000 words so I'm really happy with it.  I don't work til 4:00pm tomorrow so I'll probably start Day 2 at midnight so I can get that in before work.

My day one count? 0!

Because I was up at 7am and out for work, worked on chapter 23 of PY in my half-hour for lunch, was at a family/guest meal until 10pm, and then was helping my mother sort things out when we got home - as she came straight to the meal from the airport having been in transit nearly 24 hours from a conference in the USA?

......XD;;;;;;;; BUT I have a three day weekend with which to revise music theory for Wed, catch up on nano, then get ahead~ (Tomorrow has so many things in it does not count).

Whelp.... you know the story I planned to write?   Well It decided to say a big Fuck You to me today and I think I will be working on the previous story.  When Mirea is practically in a force apprenticeship because she cannot control certain aspects of her powers.

Bah!   

So I also have NOTHING!!!!  I still need to majorly toy with this. We'll see if I even get 30,000 out of it.

Well... there are some benefits to being basically unemployed. One being that, after a brief post-midnight Day 3 foundation writing session, I'm at 11,220. Which is way, way beyond my performance in past NaNos. I completely credit it to the fact that I have an immensely detailed outline, so I can just kind of keep plugging along. It's marvelous.

But yeah. I'm trying to use the Reward System wordcount goals because I know that I, too, always end up having bad days somewhere along the way, so the more I can write up-front, the better. But I'm pretty sure I'll be safe on hitting 50k this year, so my new goal is to have the story completed by 11:59:59pm on November 30th. Because that's only ever happened once, haha.

finished last night on 3000 words - and today I should be revising, so instead I'm going to procrastinate and see how far that can take my wordcount? XD

though I discovered two new complications to my plot last night, and I really need to sit down and outline the damn thing before I forget them and wander off writing completely random rubbish instead.......

Finally started writing....   I'm at 1569 words.   Then again, I have only spent a little over an hour on it.

It's not even what I planned to write.  But it could be interesting.

Oh, man, I've hit 36k!  Holy wow.

I also wrote my first battle scene EVAR.  It's okay enough, I think.  And last night I still had enough juice to keep going after midnight, so I'm already at 1700+ for today's wordcount.  And I'm probably going to hunker down to write shortly here.  My wordcount is all well and good but it's all for naught if I don't FINISH THE STORY before November ends.  And I'm a bit behind on the story progression.  Sooo I must keep plugging away at it.

Officially, I only have about 8000 words on Dragon's Den, but if I count EVERYTHING I have written this month, I am closer to 18000, which isn't too far off.  I'm still trying to see if I can get my DD count up before the end of the month, but at the moment, I'm not sure that is going to happen *sigh*

I have... 23000 (plus some in notebook from lunch today) which means officially I'm a little behind but meh not like I was last weekend

and now going to run away from internet and try to get that 2000 back before I fall asleep again because heh that's going to happen soon I AM SO TIRED

(Umi and Clef currently sneaking out of !Building in the snow (Clef = unimpressed, also they had to go buy coats from the lost and found) so they can sneak into a mob of protestors and try to work out if they have any connection to the murder~ There will be running about in disused mines soon, and also at least one explosion...

YAY for fight scenes! battle scenes! Chaos! ^^
