Well, hey there! =D This section of the board needs a little bit of love, so I'm going to give it love. x3

A lot of us on the forum are still in School, but even those who aren't in school have extracurricular activities and hobbies. :3 So what Ai asks you .. is what are those hobbies and activities that you love so much?

As for me, I am a Thespian. xD I'm a little actress, and I love to act, sing, sometimes dance ..

Of course, I'm a Literary Club baby, and I always love writing. :3
I'm that girl who changes her avatar a little too often. x3 And proud.

I wasn't really invovled in anything in highschool. There was nothing that interested me, really, especially school activities.
I was on a puppet team at my church, though, from age 11 to 18! We were awesome.

PS: I am totally a Pharle now. @3@;;

I'm a second year literature major in college...and so I love reading, I also tutor 7th and 8th graders in writing, and sing (especially karaoke! ?Yes!).

I'm in an anime club as well, and my friends get together and play board games and cook a lot (we're kinda lame, nerdy college students).

I also am a music nerd...I play 7 instruments but I hate theory.

*bounces in*

I play the flute in band *band nerd*.

I'm also in an afterschool drama club (actually, I'm not IN the play, I'm one of the stage managers!).

I'm also in a before school book club.

This eighth grader over here is in love with your writing and wishes that she could be tutored by you. <3333

I have slacked off this year in the extracurricular area.    I am usually a member of Japanese Student Association, but I didn't pay my dues this term and have only been able to attend two meetings.

Last Spring I was in Swimming, Ballet, JSA, and Medieval Society (as Senator).

So... Yeah, my lack of student activities looks like I spend too much time on my ass, but actually I am currently working two jobs, and attending my third year of Uni.

I once played violin.

And Sci, your friend time sounds alot like mine.  So I don't think it is too nerdy, and getting drunk and partying is not all it's cracked up to be.  On that note, my frineds and I are going to the Medieval Fair this weekend. And we shall be wearing our cloaks. I'll take pictures. ^_^

I do renn faire sometimes...my sister has a nobles costume and I have a peasant costume...so sometimes I am her slave....

Yeah more band nerds...I played bass clarinet in junior high...I was in choir too, once upon a time.  Second soprano and alto...and I had to sing a solo in German at a choir festival with a word that sounded a good deal like the F-word.  Ahh...memories.

And Rae-chan, I am a scary tutor ^_^  I turn many essays very red...

Random question...has anyone here played Apples to Apples?
"We know what we are, but know not what we may be" ~ Hamlet -  Scene 4, Act 5

I did the choir thing back in the day, then for 7 years I played the tuba (6th grade to the day I graduated).

Since then I haven't really done a whole hell of a lot. XD

I've played Apples to Apples.  It's a fun game.

I selected Performing Arts, since that's where most of my activities and obligations lie, but I'm involved in academic and other areas as well.

Most of my time is divided between academics (primarily for my English class, which is AP, demanding, and a complete thrill for this little girl who wants to major in English this fall), speech and debate (my passion; I'm a speech geek extraordinaire), drama club (I'm currently crossing the gender line to be one of the baseball players in Damn Yankees - fun for all!), and heading up the editorial staff of our school's literary magazine.

I have no idea when I got so busy. I used to do nothing - and I really mean nothing. No activites, no staying after school... then last year all of a sudden I was there all the time, and this year I might as well live at my school for as much time as I spend there. Good heavens. I've also been on a puppetry team through my old church for the past nine and a half years, but I've been weaning myself from that particular area as others become more demanding, though I still love puppetry.

I also dabble in singing in my school's a'cappella choir, but that doesn't take up enough time to be part of my stress-inducing, ulcer-causing schedule. Har!

In my free time (which I manage to have now and again!), I read and reread voraciously, sketch and draw, dabble in cooking, drink tea, write fanfics and original fiction and terrible self-indulgent poetry, test new musical waters, try desperately to keep up a solid exercise pattern, and waste time on the Internet.

Also, in case you had not noticed, I am excessively long-winded. I think it may be a disease of some sort because it's nearly impossible to control. Usually I just have to cut myself short. Like this!

And one time, at band camp....

Sorry, just skimming the posts again.  I need to go to sleep.

I think I am going to take up fencing next year, and soccer.  I need some other random activities to fill my time. ^.^

That's called the English major disease....how else do you think we manage to write 5 page papers on a single sonnet?  ^_^

Good luck with the APs...Hamlet is applicable to anything for the essay portions, (*fangirly squee for Shakespeare*  I am such a nerd...)

Well, I'm incoming 3rd year High School, and I've got a number of extra-curricular activities. I'm part of the Girls' Football Club, I'm an officer in this Social Action Organization in our school, I'm an editor of our school publication, and I'm part of this military club in our school. :D

Besides those, I like reading, writing, drawing, and a bunch of other stuff that I'm currently too lazy to mention. :P Haha, anyway, I'm still trying out a bunch of stuff so who knows if I'll gain a bunch of new hobbies. :D

^^ I hit other, because about the only thing I'm activly doing at the moment is rebuilding a Norton 650SS motorbike with my Dad, when I'm at home.  At Uni, about all I'm doing is revising. >_< (exam term)

Reading, writing and all that, listening to music and that sort of thing happen everyday, they're a bit much for hobbies. XD Though I also do crossstitch, make th eoccasional soft toy, paint, draw... attempt very badly to sing...

I'm a member of two societies at Uni - anime and manga soc, and also our Ballroom and Latin American Dance soc. I've done Ballroom and latin since I was 6, though not properly after I turned 17.

...none of which fit with the rebuilding a motorbike, but nevermind. XD

DOWN, random question...

I am most likely going to leave sunny CA and go to England next summer...

What are the places that I should absolutely visit there (travel books are only so nice, especially when you have people that know better!)

Thanks!
"We know what we are, but know not what we may be" ~ Hamlet -  Scene 4, Act 5

... ah, what sort of places do you like? Museums, theme parks... mountains... *brain is ded tonight* And which parts of England are you planning on going to? XD London-area, or travelling around a bit? I could direct you to all the best steamtrain railways...

...my family tends to do manic 100mile+ journeys to see stuff abroad, but that's probably not usual, right? o_o;;; (We also did ALL of Florida in 4 days. Well, all that we knew about. My family = wierd.)

I can get some thoughts from friends too, ^^ just to make sure I don't miss anything too obvious.

Would you guys mind continuing through PM or email?  Just so this thread doesn't get off-topic. ^^;

Ooooh, I like this shiny Mod!Stick... *waves it*
