Umi is a princess and Clef is the Master Mage.  We have a masquerade ball where the princess decides she's going to make the night more interesting and attempt to seduce one of her dance partners, who just happens to be Clef, but she doesn't know who he is, only that her magic is ridiculously attracted to his, and she loves the feeling of his touch.

Someone stop me before I hurt myself.

Identities are note revealed until someone (possibly Umi hearing his voice again in a corridor) recognises the other and they realise exactly who they shagged in the garden.

Of course this cannot end well. She is the heir to the throne, and possibly betrothed to another?

It's now seeming this entire thing might be Caldina's fault. Not only is she one of Umi's companions, she also planted the idea for this scheme in her head and even was the one who wrote the contraception spell on Umi's arm.  *facepalm*

I'm torn between giggling and facepalming as I write this.  Because not only is Umi still only around 16/17 in this, because of his post, Clef is wanting to be at least twice her age, and I swear he is greying.  I really don't know.  I think I have an age gap problem....
