This forum has a majority of Umi/Clef shippers and also tea-drinkers!  Tea is all well and good for you but BAH, that first sip of coffee...  Better than sex some mornings.  Who else is in the coffee boat?

I will have a cup of tea from time to time, because of health benefits and such, but I am a coffee girl all the way.  I've unfortunately had problems with caffeine and regulating my blood sugar -- if I don't have my sugar nice and high, meaning I've eaten quite a lot of just the right things, the caffeine whacks me out and I'm shaking the rest of the day!  So that means I don't get to have coffee in the mornings. :(  I'm trying out a mix of decaf and caffeinated, and making it a bit weak, but it's still enough to mess me up.  I might have to go all decaf.  SAD FACE.

How do you take yours?  I can't drink it black, which helps me be able to stomach decaf...  I usually use a liquid creamer like International Delight or --sometimes-- Coffee Mate.  When that's not available, sugar and milk (preferably half-n-half, really...)  I do like the fancy flavored coffees (Starbucks and whatnot) at times.

As much as I'm a tea-drinker, I love coffee. Love it. Loooooove it. I like it black if it's really good, sometimes black with a tablespoon of blackstrap molasses stirred in, or occasionally with a splash of milk and just a little sugar, not too much. I do sometimes like frou-frou coffee drinks like wildly flavored mochas and whatnot, but that's more for the experience of that drink itself and not as much for the coffee in it. I remember mornings in college, especially my senior year, when I'd wake up for a nine o'clock class, cut through the rec center and then stop in the library coffee shop for a cup of black Seattle's Best, then walk down the mall to the fine arts center for class. On chilly, misty mornings, that was the best thing ever.

Now I can't drink coffee anymore ;A; With my various thyroid, hypoglycemic, and anxiety-related issues over the past year, caffeine jut messes me up too badly. I have decaf from time to time, but it's not the same.

After working for Starbucks for nearly 6 years...I can't help but feel I've become desensitized by coffee...in both the smell and the caffeine.  It just doesn't have the same effect it once did.  Of course, when it did have an effect on me...I would break out into a sweat when I had only one shot of espresso in my drink.  That was a fun shift.  Then there was the time where I drank an entire can of Red Bull on a 10-minute break...first time I had a Red Bull too.  Yet another fun shift there.  The surge of caffeine made me plow through drinks faster than I had ever gone. XD

But, after all of that, when I do go to Starbucks before work...I have to have either a Tall White Mocha or a Solo Grande White Mocha.

Interestingly enough, I love the smell of coffee but absolutely cannot stand the taste. I can't even tolerate the taste of mocha and I love chocolate.
Of course I'm normal...I'm 90 degrees off from the rest of the world.

Oh man, I love tea. Like, I'm so British in the way I love tea, it's clich? but it is painfully true.

That said, I do love coffee too. If I'm Starbucks or the like, I'll probably have a flavoured latt? (usually vanilla, unless it's Christmas because bring on the Christmas flavours!!!!).

At home, I have a coffee maker, so if I have any beans in, I'll make coffee but that's not often.
Should have wished for unicorns.

I like the smell, too, but not the flavour. Not even in chocolates.

I like squash!

I used to love the smell but hate the taste. But as I reached the last semesters of graduation, I ended up drinking out of necessity (I can't handle energy drinks) and then ended up liking it a lot. It also helps that there's coffee for free eveywhere, it's sort of a tradition in Brazil? Sadly, coffee machines are slowly taking over homemade drip coffee.

But I also ended up having problems with caffeine, it started making me really anxious so I had to stop. So I can relate to Jam... y.y I can only have real coffee from time to time, and never at night.

I never had coffee at Starbucks, but I really find it strange as how people can drink so much coffee! o_o I mean, don't you people get caffeine high? Or the coffee isn't very concentrated? Since here in Brazil we usually make espresso, it really baffles me on how someone can drink up to 500ml of coffee.

I'm also a big tea enthusiast (not much black tea tho), specially white and rooibos tea. I have a bit of a collection from when I lived in Portugal and traveled around a lot, also love to mix stuff up. ♥

It's pretty common in the states to make coffee rather watered-down.  Drip coffee is made pretty weak VERY often.  I don't like a lot of espresso because I'd rather have a lot of coffee, but I hate when coffee's all flavorless and watery.  My mom makes it like that...  A lot of people age 40+ like it that way. XP

I hated coffee as a kid too!  In high school, I started drinking the "cappuccinos" that you can get at gas stations, which are basically hot, frothy, milky flavored drinks with a little bit of coffee.  That got me adjusted to the taste a bit, then I started trying flavored mochas and all, and now I just love coffee.

Ooh I see... I suppose having coffee for a long time might be nice too.

Hee, I completely relate! I used to only drink those really sweet concotions that taste nothing like coffee. XD I mean, I still love capucino and mocha, but I learned to appreciate nice coffee too. ♥

Homemade Cold Brew (Iced Coffee, Latte, Mocha)

^^^ Best recipe I've seen for iced coffee!  Cold brewing coffee is just what it says: you put the grounds in water and refrigerate overnight.  Heat and a fast brew ruin caffeine and taste, so cold brew coffee is very strong.  Perfect if you want to drink it iced!

Well, I know what I'm doing soon-ish. I love iced coffee from Starbucks and the like, but never thought to try and do it myself

I didn't like coffee at all (a bit like Somariel, although I would eat chocolate-coated coffee beans and coffee cake!) but now I love it, and I mostly drink it with heated milk and no sugar or syrup. I like hazelnut or amaretto syrup the best if I have to have it!

My boyfriend and I make this locally blended coffee - we like the Columbian Medellin Supremo and the Peruvian Cafe Feminino blends. We buy grounds because we can't be bothered buying/using a grinder, lol. We're currently using one of these, which I highly recommend. :D It's intended to make espresso with, but we fill it for four people and split it between two mugs into the hot milk.

We pretty much only drink one coffee each, in the morning. I drink decaf tea (milk, no sugar!) the rest of the day at work, because I was addicted to the caffeine in tea and suffered a massive two weeks of withdrawal headaches after abstaining for dental procedure reasons. Oh my god.

We try not to drink too much coffee because my boyfriend's dad has previously consumed so much coffee in a week that he went to the doctor with palpitations. Don't overdo it, guys! xD

I once made it my mission to make a cup of coffee with every mug in the house, in a day once. I was so ill.

god, we easily have two dozen mugs.  I would probably have to be hospitalized if it was all caffeinated, even though I take mine one part milk to two parts coffee (approx).
