US Meet-Up 2014

Only just woke up after my day of traveling from our UK meet-up.

We vaguely discussed doing this, but anyone interested in coming to the middle of the US for a meet-up?  I could host quite a few here at my house even, no hotel needed (unless we want to go off somewhere else sightseeing, that is). Yes, I did double check with A before I made this offer. He?s cool with it, so long as we clean up the house a bit first (which a year out, we should manage to finish the most of the big projects which need doing.

I?m not sure what job I am going to have that time of year, so I am not sure what sort of time I can have off, but can probably manage another week out anytime with ample notice (an no national holidays).

If you want to look up my local airport to get an idea of what air travel to here would be, it?s Oklahoma City (OKC).

Anyone want to start throwing out dates?

I can't make any commitments yet since I have no idea what will be going on next year, but July-August would be best for me!

Is there an Amtrak station anywhere near you, Mils? Due to some medical issues, I am reluctant to take an airplane anywhere, as it could be be dangerous to my health.

Yes, there is a train station. Amtrak comes right into the city. It?s the last stop on that line.

Of course we have no idea when we?ll do this yet.

SEPTEMBER?!!!

I have Down for the last two weeks in September.  Anyone want to come to Oklahoma somewhere between Friday 26th - Monday 29th Sept?  I no longer have lots of beds in the house, but I have a large sofa bed, and some camp beds and plenty of sleeping bags and pillows, if anyone can't bring something.  We could have a massive Rayearth sleep over. Could be loads of fun.

Life Things are currently still settling, but there's a possibility I can make this one!  if at least one more person comes down (making at least four of us) then it'd be enough of a forum meetup for me to make the trip (I really hate traveling).  I shall be watching this space and hopefully keeping my calendar clear that last weekend!

Well, Suz, the last meet-up was only four of us, so if we can do five, it'll be the biggest Cephiro Meet-up ever.  But even three would make it the biggest meet-up this side of the Atlantic.

I know what you mean about life settling.  Mine's in an upheaval, so....  this is a completely insane idea, but should be loads of fun.  SLEEPOVER!!!
