US Meet-Up 2014

I might be able to come. If I do, I'd need one of the beds - medical issues make it difficult and tiring to get up from sitting or lying on the floor.

Warning to anyone wanting to stay at my house: I have three CATS.  They are not allowed in the bedroom, so it is a cat-free room, but I do have central air conditioning, so there is still some cat hair and dander in the air in there, depending upon how well the air filter is doing at the time.

And, yes, beds can be given up to those who need/want them.  I have the double bed in the bedroom and a sofa that folds out into a king, then two single camp beds. Plenty of sleeping bags and pillows and blankets for making beds of the floor, and I now have a carpeted room, so it is more comfortable than the tile and wood floors elsewhere in the house.

THAT SOUNDS WORSE THAN I MEAN IT TO SOUND. UM. WE ARE IN FACT ADULT PEOPLE WHO KNOW HOW TO BEHAVE IN PUBLIC and this isn't helping me sound any better. XD;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;

..................................................There is a lot of space in the house and there's another bedroom we could be relegated to if people need the bed-bed instead of the sofa-being-a-bed anyway. ^^ But yes, meeting people! Is awesome! I will completely be an overwhelmed introvert at some point and go hide in the wardrobe or something but hey Mils should probably get to experience me doing that before she's stuck living with me anyway?................

but yes, it'd be awesome to meet up with Sci from WAAAYY BACK IN THE DAY.  and Somariel!  I can see if dinosaurjam's able to come out with work and all, but since she's not very active on here (psshhhHHH) idk that she'll be able to justify the money for the trip.

Well, I do have a rather big fucking house for a two bedroom house. It's probably got enough rooms for all of us to shut doors and be alone, if needed.  Kitchen, Dining Room, Sitting room, Study, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a large entry lobby thing.... 

There's a nice back garden too, with chairs and table. And a barbecue that I use more as a fire pit than a barbecue.

we can have hermit time! (seriously, though, there is space to go hide if you want or need to, I can attest to this. )

dinosaurjam should come too!!!!!! Doesn't matter if she's not all that active on here, we've all known each other for an aaaaaaaaaaaage now it'd be awesome to meet up.

(unless the money is better spent elsewhere which is understandable and travelling sucks muchly but meeting is awesome )

That's okay.   Down should be managing to actually steal me away to that side of the Atlantic this autumn, so we can always do a meet-up on that side again soon.

So long as everything goes at planned, we're looking at making this nonsense official on Umi's birthday, but.... Have to wait until Sept/Oct to know if the application at the end of Aug was successful.
