The long in coming and very overly late thread is finally here. Everyone's favorite crackship of choice, Umi and Eagle.

Let us know what you think, hate it, love it, no idea how anyone ever got the blasted idea in the first place, fire away! We want to hear your feels.

So let's get this ball rolling. I'll prolly add more later when I'm more lucid, haha.

So how did I end up so hardcore over this crackship?

Hell if I know.

It wasn't even my favorite ship right out of the gate, never really occurred to me reading the manga, or seeing the anime for the first time. I don't think they ever exchange one single bit of dialog to one another in the manga or the anime, unless you count Eagle shooting her in her mashine, haha

Eagle was always immediately my favorite character, but I don't think I felt the need to ship him with Hikaru, though I don't mind it, or with Lantis, I'm pretty neutral to that pairing. So I was kinda stuck on finding fics with Eagle in it that had any kind of interaction I enjoyed. He doesn't pop up in a lot of fics on his own, so I went scouring FF.net back in the day for any and all fics Eagle in general.

And while not an epic work of fiction, it is cute and funny and after reading it I was like...hummm...you know that could work if...

Thus and OTP crackpairing was born.

10 years on later I'm still working on the fic that was born sometime in the weeks after that. Oh lordy how time flies.

I'll be adding more feels later when I'm less sleepy, hee.

I guess i missed to read that short fan fiction you just posted and as i read it i was just like (Oh! my it's cute) Now i can't stop myself loving those two characters... (now i felt like betraying my OTP Clef/Umi LOL)

I really have no idea that this pairing could actually work out for me. I never had a chance to read the manga but I do watched the anime and yes you are right there are no such interesting interactions between Umi and Eagle aside from the fight with their mashins LOL. I didn't know when this pairing came into me. I just find Eagle cute really and to have him paired with Hikaru is like (Hikaru already have Lantis to better stick with that) Then I started to imagine what if Umi is the one who was abducted by autozam... (well that could make a better plot). Then i started to search on google about Eagle/Umi ad it lead me to this fan fic https://www.fanfiction.net/s/6325602/1/Kissing-Me which is now my ultimate favorite Eagle/Umi fan fiction ever.
