New Forum Theme

It's difficult to believe that this forum will be eleven years old in only a matter of days.

When I created this forum, I was modelling it on a web forum that I was frequenting a lot at the time, and I liked the style. The dark theme was one of those elements and I have to admit I was reluctant to change it.

Things have changed in the world since then. The year following this forum's creation, the first iPhone was release. I personally owned my first smartphone in 2010. Now, I believe most of our members have some mobile device they use to access the forum at least part of the time, and a decade's old forum theme doesn't work so well in today's world.

Because I have been approached by more than one member about a more responsive theme, I started looking into finding one. I think this one is suitable. I think this meshes well with Definitely Not Tokyo's current theme. I have been tinkering with colours and might still tweak it from time to time, but I personally like it.

How do you guys like it?

(If you'd rather use the dark one, you can change back to it in your personal settings, or shoot me a message to change it for you, if you are having difficulties doing so.)

If you had set your theme to one of the other options, it has not changed.  I have no overridden any personal settings in the change.

We be snazzy now Mils. Looks pretty good on my phone too. You get a thumbs up from me. But aww do we lose our old title? That was a cute thing. I was looking forward to not being a pharl, lol

I haven't tinkered with this yet to work out how to add it back.   It's going to involve CSS coding, and I just haven't been up to it.

Will poke it some evening. 

The titles do still exist in the other themes.   I'll tinker with it in the next month or so.

IT'S BEEN SO LONG SINCE I'VE BEEN HERE (and I only thought to visit because of the rewatch email you sent out Mils). I love the new layout (haven't checked it on mobile though).

My only criticism would be that I think it would be nice if the font for the menu bar (Home, Help, Search, etc.) and for the area under the username (Profile, Forum Profile, etc.) was a sans serif font to match the rest of the layout more. But that's just me!

Layout aside - how are all of you? It's been so long since I've been active here, I'm pleasantly surprised this community is still active  ;D

That's a thought.  I'll tinker with the CSS.  I just downloaded a decent looking free theme, so I'm not being too picky. I plan to tinker with it, or end up springing for something a bit better in the future.  It was just time for a change.
