Fancasting!

Didn't see this topic anywhere, so I'll just make this one. In a live-action adaption of Magic Knight Rayearth, who would you cast?

For Ascot, I would use a time machine to get a younger Eddie Redmayne. Just ten to fifteen years back, perhaps. He tends to be cast a lot younger than he actually is, anyway.

And for Caldina, I believe several of us on tumblr have decided she should be played by Nicki Minaj.

This one speaks for itself, really.

How would you cast the others? Or do you have other people in mind for Ascot or Caldina? Remember, time machines are allowed!

BTW, take this thread as seriously or not as you like. A chat discussion had us casting Angelina Jolie as Zagato, Lantis, and Alcyone, Nick Offerman as Clef, and Dwayne Johnson as Mokona. Don't lie, you'd totally go to see that in theatres.

It would be great if, when casting seriously, if a character's culture is defined, you try to stick to actors/actresses from that culture, though. So, at least partially Japanese actresses for the Magic Knights and their families, Indian for Chizeta (I make an exception for Caldina because Nicki Minaj is too perfect a fit to cast otherwise), and Chinese for Fahren.

Liked Caldina's choice,  i think it match perfectly lol I love Redmayne, so to me he could play any role.
I don't know enough japanese actors, so i'll go with weastern ones.

Umi - Kaya Scodelario


An younger Jared Leto would make a good Ferio if characterized properly


Emeraude as the Emilia Clarke (looking more or less like Daeneris)


Zagato/Lantis should be played by the same actor as they look almost identical.
Ben Barnes (Actually I can't think on many actors who look like i imagine them realistically. Ian somerhalder with darker lenses maybe?)


Presea - Erica Durance (years back, now she looks quite different)


Alcyone - Angelina Jolie (Well, she's the typical femme fatale, now that you mentioned Angelina, well, she fits Alcyone)


I have no idea for Clef or Eagle
