omg. I'm actually starting a thread *prepares to be maimed*
What made your day today?
Today, we've been having gale force winds and the roof of a building at my college blew off.
So, us actual college students got sent home, so the classrooms we just freed up could be used for the pupils of the school bit. (It's like a combined school/college. Or sixth form. If that means anything to you)
And parent's evening is cancelled.
But they can't cancel school tomorrow because all of my year have an external exam (yeah, so, it's general studies, but it's still an A-level)
Good times.
yay more threads!
...I've heard about those winds. My friend was sat in the lecture hall at uni, and a tree came down over the carpark. T_T Yet they still have to go to lectures... ((I'm not having nightmares about her being squished by falling trees. Nope, not at all. >.> Stupid imagination...))
XD off 6th-form = YAY.
...I'm glad I didn't have to take general studies. XD I even got out of doing key skills. Though I didn't actually WANT to get out of that one...
((Teacher: Your GCSE grade D is higher than the ICT Key Skills, so it would be a waste of your time. ~ Me:... BUT IT'S A 'D'! Our teacher was FIRED the moment our results came in! And you can't help me strike this from my record??? D: ~ Teacher:...um. No. But you don't have to take the class? Free time? ~ Me: WOES))
As for the thing that made my day...
On wed, in our oral exam, we had to roleplay making a hotel reservation. Um. I may have made one for a Ryuuzaki Umi and Mazda Clef. XDDD ((I'd have said Madoushi, but I've been writing AU recently, so had that on my mind. ^^))
...also, the word Umi has come up in every one of my exams, and was the kanji I did for my calligraphy exam, which is bemusing/creepy/hilarious. XD
Those who read my live journal know that I rescued a dog on Friday. I was able to get him back to his owner on Wednesday. During the time I had him, and after, I have been ill. This is on top of the lovely ice storms we have been having here in the U.S. Because yesterday I was able to leave the house and make it up to the clinic to be seen by the doctor. That was un eventful, I knew what I had, but I was able to get medication for it.
Anyway, to top it off today I was in the shower and noticed a rather odd blotch on my skin. Damn it all to hell! I contracted ringworm. I am not happy. I paid another visit to the clinic. Now I have a lovely cream to appy twice daily. Life is always intersting here. The insanity rarely ends.
...gnyaaaaah. >.<
My family tends to have an out on finding animals - Uncle David's a vet, and lives one village over from my house. ^^;; We just turn round and say HAY! Help? But my cousins have contracted some... intresting things, over time. Never ringworm, though. Eeeek.
((Three trees down in the road where J-chan lives, but nothing's hit her yet. Two more at least down on campus. And, in Norfolk? a PIG STY FLEW ACROSS A ROAD.
... ONLY NORFOLK. XDDD Flying pigs... oh dear.))
Made my day today: Last class! All I have now is the ceremony on Mon, then I'm FREEEEE for two months! Thank God. I'm almost burnt out. >.>
Made my day: Today, my parents booked a holiday in Cornwall in Summer. So I have the house to myself for two whole weeks.
That was nice.
(Yes so, our school is missing part of a roof and we were open today, yet another school in out town lost six roof tiles and was closed.)
...I played Um Jammer Lammy for about 3 hours straight with my friends and much yelling and four letter words.
However, this weekend I have to find a job, read more Jane Austen, and figure a way to whore myself out for scholarships so that somehow I can make it to Ireland and England this summer.
So, Um Jammer Lammy makes my day.
My christmas presents! Frm my parents! Finally arrived!
Which means that I have a) More Sharpe to read, YAY, and b) GOOD CHOCOLATE! Mmmmmmmmmmm~ also, c) a (short short) novella thing called 'I am a Dalek', which just. Dalek <3!
(There was a Terry's chocolate orange bar. It didn't survive an hour. XD)
Though I spent so long in the cold waiting for it that my arm started aching and I couldn't go to the free traditional music concert thing in osaka. But, chocolate! books! random earrings! overall, good. ^^;;;
It's snowing!
I love the snow =D
I'm so happy.
And Daleks = <3
Snow! *jealous*
Ah, well. I'm going to visit Hokkaido soon, so there should be snow there. Heee. XD ((Heeee, Daleks! I brought two posters to japan to stave off homesickness - a TARDIS one and a Dalek one. XD))
What made my day (even though it's hardly started yet...) I think I felt an EARTHQUAKE this morning! *flails* XDDD
My first earthquake! A very tiny one. It made my fridge squeak. XD
What made my day today:
Discovering I had dropped a dress size.
Which may explain why all my clothes are too big for me.
It's odd. I don't feel any thinner.
But yay! All the same.
Some of you may laugh at me, but I forgot to post this. This actually happened yesterday.
You see my friend, Anne, and I work together doing children's church at a church near my house. She went on a study abroad to England, and came back a few weeks ago. The first week she was back at work she forgot them. Then we had the ice storms. So yesterday she finally brought me what I asked her to bring me.
Mars Bars!!
Okay, for those of you who do not live in the US you may not understand why I am so excited. We don't have them here. The Mars company claims the the Milky Way is the same bar, but it is not. I grew addicted to them while I was in Florida, because you see I could buy them there. But here in Oklahoma, there is no such thing as an international food section in Wal-mart, etc.. We have the Hispanic/Asian section.
So I now have three whole Mars Bars. I haven't had one in over a year. I wasn't going to push my luck asking for a galaxy bar. *laughs* Now I owe her one pirate costume.
Did you know, in Scotland, you can buy Mars Bars deep fried.
Yes, I know it sounds weird, and I was a little sceptical at first, but the mars bar is all warm and melty and mmm. Good stuff
What will make my day today:
I only have one lesson today from 9 - 10am, after that I have to wait til 3:30pm to go home.
...people claim that milky way and mars bars are the same thing? O_O ...that's actually weirder than calling smarties and mnms the same thing. (Those are, at least, the same idea. kinda. ...)
Never had a deep fried mars bar, though I've been to a chippy where they were on the menu. I have had deep fried potatoe with icing sugar and maple syrup, though? Which was very nice, but confused my brain just as much. XD That was at about 2am this morning - but my new jacket has really made my day today. ^^
((My christmas presents included a mixed assortment of chocolate bars from england, I've been working through them slowly - mint aero today. Mmmmmmmmmmmm~<3))
Did you know they've removed the blue Smarties?
Awful, isn't it?
What made my day today:
I bought a book (for 99p. Bargain.) which was full of little ideas to make the world a better place =D
I finally got my own computer so that I wont need to use my roommies new computer! AWESOME!
Hm.... I found I got a 3.8 on my report card!!!!!!!!! YAY! lol. I know that's not the best, but it's a good score for me. O.o
My left arm stopped aching and threatening rsi! *relieved dancing of JOY*
...mind you, my right one is currently killing me, BUT. I can still type slowly left handed! >.>
I met with a classmate to do Spanish homework and give her photocopies of the workbook and we spent two hours talking anime before we got to the homework. Then we went to her dorm for quite a few hours and she showed me her absolutely STUNNING cosplay (started sewing in September and is psychotically talented, omfg). She has convinced me to join her at KatsuCon~ Am going as Asuka (From Eva, not Aska-sama) in her yellow dress. My first con; hopefully I will be able to make it. Going as Asuka would be a dream.
SO YES, I have a new, amazingly talented and fun anime friend that I met by chance because I offered to make her copies of the workbook. Being nice pays off more often than people think.
My biology teacher didn't maim me!
:D
I was supposed to give her some work, but didn't, then I avoided her all week, but alas! I had her today first period.
She came over to my desk, and asked me "Do you have you work?" and I replied "Yes." Then she was all "Ok!" and walked off happily.
I ... watched Naruto.
And watched Savers.
... Mostly Savers.
Fangirled a little bit.
Squeed at the fact that the Naruto fillers end in February.
Squeed at a glimpse of my baby all grown up in the new part to the series.
Got off of Youtube.
And came here.
.... And now I must go prepare for another day of school. x3
With my Narutards. <3
So My gran and I were having some sort of superficial argument when she jokingly flipped me off. I, of course being me, told her "Well same back to you."
She goes and replies. "You don't know how."
At which point we both start laughing hysterically as I attempt to feign contempt and indignance.
*relieved and startled dancing* I apparently got 84% on the main listening test at the end of last term! PHEW. I was worried about that one. XD (The results I'm slowly getting through are reassuring, to say the least - 84, 85, 86 1/2. Hopefully enough to balance out the mess I made of some of my homework before I realised it counted for anything. ^^;;;)
Also, my Protecting You muses have returned! XD Every e-mail I've tried to send today have devolved into me babbling about some aspect of it or other. XD YAY! Hopefully I can start WRITING again, and stop having Crazy Vivid Dreams because my mind isn't worn out enough. ^^ All I have to worry about now is my wrist keeping up...
...well, and the fact that I've lost some fairly small but important details of the plot. ^^;;;; Reconstructing plotlines, yay? XDXDXD
((heh, I'm even babbling here... feel glad that you don't live near me, last time I did this I kept running through the house yelling at characters every few days. XD))
...does my icon-picture get to count as a thing that's made my day? It makes me giggle everytime I see it. XDXDXDXD
My friends and I FINALLY finished watching Lord of the Rings together. *sigh of relief* Twas the extended editions, and one hadn't even seen all the normal version of Return of the King, so I had to provide helpful information while not giving anything away. O_o;;;
Trying to remember what was and wasn't in the normal versions gives me a headache. XD ((can I mention this? Did they see this bit yet? Well this character - no, hang on, that turns up later on!))
yay, I can stop losing my voice through squeaking at Boromir too much! evil casting people making my favourite actor play my favourite character >.> (I do this at Emeraude-hime, too. ^^; And Clef, of course. XD)
So my sister is attending classes to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. Well she came over this evening so we could go out and do something. Actually she is looking over my shoulder as I type this. Anyway. She decided to attempt to take my blood pressure. "attempt" being the operative word here.
I believe it took her nearly ten minutes to position the blood pressure cuff in the correct place. Weel, I think she finally succeeded after near fifteen mintues, but it amused me and that is all I have to report until later when I come back and edit this for the other crap I had to do today.
It's nearly 1am, so this counts as today. XD (though posting here may make things go Horribly Wrong somehow... ^^; )
I'm going! To Hokkaido! In search of winter!
See you people when I get back next weekend! XD
...I went to the Dentist, and my teeth are good.
Hoorah!
And I reserved my copy of Harry Potter 7.
Yay!
In one word THIS!! (http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/waffles)
I know this needs some explaination. The only one you wil get is that I am far too deep into the Jack/Elizabeth to say anything involving waffles without thinking of them... Thanks, Ted and Terry!!
My room didn't disapepar or flood or anything stupid while I was away. ^^ Yay. (This was a relief after 8 hours journeying. Planes make my imagination go haywire. XD)
On the other hand, I am now back in Kyoto, where it's raining, rather than Sapporo, where there is snow piled three foot deep along the side of roads in the city and it snowed on us almost every day. T_T I LOVE SNOW.
I wish I had some snow...
My bottle of vodka, here.
I am now the owner of two autographed books about Gary England and Wiley Post. The author is an awfully nice guy. He went out to his car to get the Gary England Book, because I asked about it.
Also I now have PSP 9 and Animation Shop. Notice the silly icon of mine. ^.~ I have been playing with the one but haven't eperamented with the other yet. I need a nice free day to play with it.
Here is something I want to know. Why do I have to write an ESSAY for a MATH class? *groan*
Oh lordy I miss the snow
Today is ChangMin's birthday!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, PRETTY KOREAN BOY WITH SCARY VOICE! XDDDD Which also means that I have been on msn with J-chan for hours flailing about them. ^^ AND they have a new MV, so we watched it together despite being half a world away from each other...
msn was a great invention. XD
(I miss j-chan. T_T)
(Changmin = member of DongBangShinGi, korean boyband. Who I may have a slight obsession with. Um. XDD Tohoshinki in japan, and sing in japanese too)
I found the programs I needed to rip video from my DVDs so there will be a Milieva!vid up soon featuring Umi/Clef. (of course)
I just need to figure out where all of the clips I want happen to be located. The song is called "It's Beginning to Get to Me" by Snow Patrol, if you lot want an idea of it. ^.~
I am so giddy over it, I don't know what to do with myself, so I am skipping out of the house for the afternoon and going shopping. This triumph deserves a new pair of shoes or a new top, don't you think. *giggle* I also just need to get out of the house.
Ooh.
I do like Snow Patrol and that song ;D
And new shoes are always good.
What made my day today:
I did some baking, and made gingerbread hearts which are really iced, then I just as badly iced the names of my friends on them.
They were meant to be for Valentine's, but I was ill. Hurrah.
YAY CLEMI VID!!!
what has made my day so far: The realisation that MOKONA IS A TARDIS.
I MEAN
Bigger on the inside than the outside! Moves freely between different places in (time and) space! (the time on cephiro being divorced from that on earth...) Deceptive apperance as camoflage! (A very silly sense of humour?)
((Revolutionnaire? Am I mad??))
...those who have know idea what I'm on about should all go watch Dr Who. XDDD British (childrens) sci fi, longest running sci fi show ever, etc etc... XD No other show would ever get series ending speculation discussion on the BBC six o'clock news in amongst the politics and days headlines. XDDD

Down! You're right!
Never have I noticed this before, yes, I do think Mokona is an official Tardis
If the Spice Girls Tour bus from the Spice Girls Movie counts as an official Tardis (it's bigger on the inside, you see) than I think Mokona should easily count as a Tardis.
:D

XDXDXDXD
HEH
I had never noticed the Spice Girl's Bus thing, either (though Mary Poppins is so very much an (evil) (...she scared me XD) runaway timelord with her bag of insanity) but MOKONA.
...think of the INSANE CROSSOVERS THIS COULD INSPIRE. XDDD (My mind is now stuck on CLOW WAS A TIMELORD CLOW WAS A TIMELORD, YUUKO IS A TIMELORD, CLOW WAS A TIMELORD. Oh dear. ^^;;;;;;)
(Day just made EVEN MORE GLORIOUS by watching te 'School Reunion' ep of Who because SARAH JANE SMITH with bonus K9 and Anthony Head is a glorious villian, and I an CRYING heartbroken happy sad tears, but I already spazzed on lj so I'll spare cephiro XDD)
Having Mil sneakily get me to watch some Rayearth and drive me away from portfolio stuff. Now I remember what my true object in life is... Rayearth! ^.^
Two things:
My wetsuit arrived today. Hurrah! My friend ordered it off eBay for me.
And it's pancake day! So I'm very fat, but happy.
I FORGOT PANCAKE DAY!!!
D: D: D: D:
DAMMIT!
I will have to have a substitute pancake day soon, I guess. T_T
Also, I just spent the entire day watching Live Action Sailor Moon. This is ALL MILS'S FAULT. XDD
(Not sure if this is what MADE my day or the opposite. heh.)
Knowing that Magic Knight Rayearth and Dragon Force, two Working Designs Sega Saturn titles, will be mine within the next few weeks.
Not to mention the raise on my most recent paycheck. I got an increase of 73 cents, which drastically made a difference. With the hours I'm pulling, I'm getting at least half a grand per check now.
I also picked up my copy of Crackdown for the XBox 360 today. The best way to describe it is GTA mixed with super-powers or enhancing abilities. It also came with a Halo 3 beta invite, so I get to test that out when it becomes available.
Soon I'll be able to download Castlevania: Symphony of the Night on XBox Live Arcade and I couldn't be happier. That game rocks so much!
Yeah, I don't think I could go on from this point, so I'll save us all a lot of time where I could be rambling on in some long incredibly unbroken sentence moving from topic to topic boring everyone to leave the post without reading what all else I have to say, which is something I don't really want to do because it's kind of rude, you know? XD
...I got a F in one of my biology mock exam papers.
No idea how seeing that the grades go from A - E then U.
So the F grade doesn't exist.
But I hate biology so it doesn't matter.
I got through Portfolio review today, and got complimented on it! I thought my stuff was going to be shot down but a good number of my peers actually liked them. ^.^
Not only did I not go to school today, I aqquired a load of Doctor Who/Torchwood LJ icons, then uploaded them to my LJ, and now I have an icon for almost every mood.
Then I went about changing the icons of all my entries, so they had the right icon. I gave up after I got to some point in December.
I need a hobby.

That sounds scarily like what I'd like to do on my LJ sometimes, but I've had it since mid-2001, and I update FREQUENTLY, so it is completely out of the question.

CAPTAIN JACK ICON.
...CAPTAIN JACK ICON.
(what, I need something else to have made my day? XD Um. ...tea. lots of tea. XD Mentions of MKR challenge comm. ...but mainly Cpt Jack Icon. XDDD)
eta: ...Sarah Jane plus TARDIS plus Dr icon also yay? XDDDD hee.
... the thing that is making today Incredibly ANNOYING, is that I cannot write smut. >.> Not At All, and especially not without several thousand words of stupid annoying mood setting and background and plot. *pokes at Umi* Can't you just JUMP him???
(I'm attempting to lure the Clef Muse back with smut. Rayearth could do with more lemon fic, anyway. =/ It could do with more EVERYTHING fic, so...)

That's amaaazing =D
Whad made my day today:
I went to Sheffield on an English Literature trip to see Shakespeare's As You Like It.
It was so much fun.
And I don't even take English Lit.
Our teacher is so nice, she bought us all coffee in this caf? place
X3

The thought that you are attempting smut, make my day. ^.^
Today involved boring seminar training for work. But I got the layout for a whim of mine working, so there may be a new Rayearth link directory up soon. I think it is pretty.
I had fun with my new PSP. I am so happy I have another program to play with (http://rayearth.psynos.net/supalink)
...considering that I went to sleep at 7.30 am and woke up at 4pm, I'm not sure what to class as today. Um. ^^;;;
but what WILL, hopefully, make my TOMORROW is my plan to go back to sleep at 8pm and set my stupid sleeping schedule back on track. XD (I have a horrible feeling my body tries to synchronise with england.)
...and discovering secret identities? XD
and the smut. Which is being written. But slowly. XD *grins at Mils* (Though I AM very bad at it, just to warn you... ^^;;;)
Same here down, actually I went to bed slightly earlier at 4am and woke up at 1pm. (And its 3am now here again the next day!) What made my day? Not having to work on sundays!
Hee, glad I'm not the only one who does that. ^^
Today, though, I managed it! Got up at 9am. XD (I'd been mostly awake since 8, too.)
ETA: ...though I promptly broke the good phase by being social and going to karaoke with friends. ...until it closed at 3am and we had to leave. heh.
Though I'm stuck inside tomorrow until I've tidied my room so it isn't a DISGRACE to me they come to check my fire alarm, so HOPEFULLY I will get smut written. ^^
though I hate to think how sleep deprived I'll be. Um. XD
What made today p.2: Pancake party!!! WENT VERY WELL! XD And then karaoke, but as I now have a sore throat and no voice, I'm not sue that counts as GOOD... XDD
Well I didnt go to my one and only class today, buuuuuuut I totally found Utada's Passion video on youtube. Totally alright. >.> Now I just need to write my artist statement and resume. urgh.
I somehow managed to get an A in a Religious Studies paper, which is amazing considering it's a 100 mark paper and I only a sigular paragraph for a 30 mark question, because I completely blanked.
Yes, so, it was a low A, I admit. But in the real exam I'd do better.
And my biology teacher didn't maim me for failing my biology papers. She was quite inspiring. Almost. But when she asked me what I was gonna do about it, and I then replied "Give up", she went into this massive rant as to why I will be able to pass biology.
Yes.
My copy of Rayearth came in the mail today! WHOOOO!!
I got the Fuu disc. Everything was included too, so I feel giddy. Sucks that I have to work before I can really dive into it though.
I'M GONNA GO STUDY IN IRELAND!
and...be broke

WHOOOOOO!
what has made MY day... full of TERROR, is I have to make my course choice for my next (final) year at uni for my BA degree. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH
*incoherent flailing*
What made my day, is giggling over word choice in the dribble Im writing for distraction contest. omg. "Staff" so many meanings... and I totally intended this as pg... sorta.
I have a PLAN! (On course choices)
...also, at some point I realised I was basically sitting in my room debating gay king vs outlaws. XD heh. That was an amusing moment?
Also, got plot-mokona'd and have actually written something. Which is now posted. On the contest comm. O_o; Huh. Panic = random word generator, go! I'm so going to hate myself for not editing properly tomorrow...
It has been EXACTLY ONE YEAR since J-chan and I first discovered Dong Bang Shin Gi. XDXDXDXD So today is DBSG day! ...And so I went out downtown and spent money I possibly shouldn't have on cds. XDDDDDD
...it feels a hell of a lot longer than that. heh. XDDDDDDDDDDDD
(We spent practically the entire three day weekend last year in the sitting room making cookies, watching a loop of five videos that had Gackt, L'arc en Ciel, two Dong Bang Shin Gi (one in japanese, one korean...) and one Rayearth OVA fanvid on it. Then we watched the Rayearth OVA, were in hysterics at the dub (Ascot going to the dark side. I MEAN. XDD Thank you for that, Lantis.) and made chocolate cookies with pink-lightning-of-DOOM in them inspired by the OVA. ...and ate them all watching Dong Bang Shin Gi. (On the third day, we discovered youtube...) XDDD)
Yay for obbsessions? ^^;
Im going to see my dad, and possibly new little brother and sister! (my dad might be getting remarried and I havent yet meet her kids...)
I was in Waterstones when I saw a manga-ised version of The Bible.
Well, it was actually part of the New Testament, but still.
It made me laugh.
*is a religious studies geek, soon to be a theology geek from September*
I bought melon bread at Mitsuwa and hand a nice katsu don...oh and I bought Death Note the Live Action movie.
L! <3
My babysitting gig turned out to be easier than originally planned. Instead of my niece and my current foster brother, it was just my foster brother. He went to bed 15 minutes ago and I am sitting here watching the end of the Doctor Who marathon on BBCA.
So, yeah I finally have sat down to watch an episode (actually two and a half) of Doctor Who. And Mils likes it.
I would gripe about the other things that happened today, but that is what LJ is for. ^.~
Went to the cinema for the first time since coming to Japan. XD Saw Ghost Rider, of all things. (I was quietly hysterical at one point. The movie, I should point out, was not trying to be funny at that moment. Oh dear. ^^;;)
...needed more motorbikes. XD
I got to take a nap since I only had one class today! it was wonderful! ^.^
I HAVE MORE TORCHWOOD!!! *HEARTMARKS VIOLENTLY AT THE WORLD*
Episodes 6-9. Came in post. ^^ Also there were chocolates and pajamas and a packet of smash. SO, instead of going and doing shopping to have actual food for tea, I'm going to curl up with an ENTIRE SAUCEPAN of Smash, and watch Torchwood all night. ^^
ALSO THERE WAS A PACKET OF JELLY BABIES
...
I LOVE MY MOTHER. <3 XDDDDD
Jelly babies being one of the things that the Fourth Doctor, Tom Baker of the Long Scarf, always has. ^^ As well as yum.
AHA!
DOCTOR WHO WILL RETURN ON 31st MARCH!
Hurrah!
Alas, I will be on holiday, but should still be able to watch it.
So yes, finding out about that made my day.
and I found out that Torchwood would return in 2008 :/ Which is not quite as good.
Bad side:
I missed the my class that had an exam today, due to being an idiot. It is a dreadfully long story. I emailed my prof. begging for smoe sort of extra credit to give me some grade even if it is not close to half credit.
Good side:
Okay so actually this was last night, but it was still amusing me this morning. This comment train on LJ (http://community.livejournal.com/tsubasafans/133738.html?thread=383594#t383594) YouTube is so my friend since BBC-A decided to not run it for a bit.

...BUT I'M NOT BACK IN ENGLAND UNTIL MID AUGUST!!!
NOOOOOOOOO!!!
*FLAILS*
Torchwood in 2008 ... ... ... they'd better not be planning what that means they MIGHT be planning... ... ...
I guess they might be doing a wait and see?
I miss old Who when people stayed in it for years and years. T_T (or it felt like they did, anyway. Mind you, as I wasn't alive for most of it, I suppose I really can't tell...)
*calms down*
Eek, hope things work out, Mils.
In other news entirly, a family friend had surgery for breast cancer earlier this week, and is now, from what people have told me, at home and doing fine. Which is a relief. And J-chan sent me home made mini egg cookies in the post, which survived suprisingly well. So I'm having a good day.

Youtube is your friend... But think of it this way. The US is a over a year behind. They have only shown the first seven episodes on BBC-America, as far as I can tell from the website. And of course after they lure me in with the damned marathon--which I only caught the last two and a half episodes of--they take it off air for who knows how long.

She is letting me come into her office tomorrow morning and take the exam. I am so happy. I hope I can get most if it done in the little bit of time I will have to do so. I shall be cutting out on a class I have never missed to do this. But I am so happy!!! *squee!!* I shall beable to keep a high mark after all!!!
I...I know, it's just... ;_;
There aren't many british tv shows I watch? Actually, there aren't many tv shows I watch at all, and most of them are japanese. (for which we in europe have to wait for usually two or three times as long as those in the usa. If it ever gets here at all. But as soon as it's licenced in the usa, most of the fansubs stop. As far as I know, we still can't get MKR, except on the 'multi-region' versions which a lot of region two players don't like as well, and the quality isn't as good. Though I'll admit it's been a while since I looked...)
...And I've been watching this show my entire life. XD
so I'm kinda disappointed that I can't see it as it comes out. T_T Hell, I'd even get a tv license just so I could watch it! (In the UK, if you have a tv, you have to have a tv licence. They cost a couple of hundred pounds. (roughly 400 US dollars? A year?) This is why I don't watch that much tv - at university, I don't have a tv, because I don't want to pay that much money for the licence. All that money goes to fund the beeb, I think.)
(Dr Who and other bbc things don't tend to appear on youtube. At least not quickly.)
Glad your lecturer (? Professer? Teacher? XD;;;) is being so nice!!
Today I havn't been able to move my left arm very much because of Massive Pain. This kinda sucks. And it's making me grumpy. ^^; But at least I go to Tokyo on Saturday!
A tv License just for owning a tv? You have to pay for something you've paid for to watch stuff that your paying for? >.> Talk about taxation. I think the US would break apart if people started making us pay about 400 usd a year for just having the tv alone. -_- I know I wouldnt be able to aford it. Im sorry down.
----
In other news I have one project almost complete! That means only two more to go and two weeks to do it in! If I have one project a week that should be great! yayness!
We only pay a licence because the BBC don't have adverts in between programs, whereas the other mainstream channels do.
What made my day:
I got my AS resits and General Studies results today.
I got a B in General Studies.
My redo of my pyschology went from a D... to a D :/
My biology resit went from E to a D
And my RS resit went from a D to a B! Hurrah!
Hurrah for improvements!
__
Thanks Revolutionaire! That makes more sense to me now. Not having adverts would be a large bonus, and I'd probably would pay for that. Who said I didnt learn something new every day?
___
I've been published! Now you may be thinking poetry, fiction or so but actually its a little more mundane than that. Being Published as a ceramicist means that I have my work printed out in a catalogue of invited ceramic artists. Though it happens to be old work of a female nude torso. >.> The stuff Im doing right now happens to be... flowers, organic life, and jelly fish. But hey Im published!!!!! It adds another notch in my resume! yayness.
Well done on the AS resits, Revolutionnaire!!! Especially the RS ^^ Good luck for the A2s!
And that is COOL on the being published, Ragyn! (And just being a ceramicist. that... sounds awesome, really. XD Especially with starfish...)
I get pissed with the tv licence largely because it only funds the beeb - the bbc have, what, 15 channels at most out of several hundred channels avaliable on sky/cable/whatever? And are 2 out of 5 avaliable on terrestial-only sets. But you HAVE to pay, even if you never watch the bbc.
All the other channels have ads four times in an hour. the Beeb only has five minutes advertising its own shows between shows, doesn't break for them... but it's not that much better, really - or I don't find it to be - and if you never watch any of their channels, you get no benifit beside NO MONEY. >.< If you don't have one, you get fined large amounts - they send people round to check, they have signal-detecting-vans (or they did.) and at university, in halls? They send someone around every six months or so who checks your room for a tv. I've had them look in my wardrobe, my cupboards, beind my door to see if I'd shoved it out of sight, and inspect my laptop for a tv adapter.
...
.../rant. Sorry. ^^;;; My great Uncle used to drive a detector van about, so the family used to argue randomly abut it (in a friendly manner) quite a lot, but I've really never forgiven them since their inspecter managed to smash my favourite mug inspecting my uni room. >.> I loved that mug! T_T
made my day today: GOING TO TOKYO TOMORROW! YAAAAAAY!
Earlier today, I was pining for a Creme Egg (a chocolate egg with nice stuff inside...).
Then my friend went out and bought me one.
Then wouldn't let me pay her back.
It's the little things that make me happy :3
This would be my what made my day for yesterday, but it was SO BRILLIANT and VERY RAYEARTH and I HAD TO SHARE, XDDDDDDD
First off, I WENT TO TOKYO TOWER.
...and wandered about it SQUEAKING a lot. XDDDD But I wasn't taken to Cephiro. TT_TT
...I DID, however, spot Certain Buildings from the observation deck - the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building (X, anyone? XD) which I'd seen much closer the day before... and THE BUILDING. THAT ASCOT DROPS ON CLEF. IN THE OVA.
XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
(and, yes, I bought some of the chick shaped okashi. haven't tried them yet, though. XD)
then we went to Odaiba - my friend and I worked out that the quickest way to get there would be to use the Yurikamome line. And I spent about five minutes wondering why that sounded so familiar, before my brain kicked in and went FUU. RAYEARTH OVA. Automated train line!!! ...and it was. XD (It was also very cool.)
...and not only did Odaiba turn out to be where the Clef-crushing-building is, but also the place where Umi wakes Selece. (which makes sense, now I think about it. XD)
...and we went across the Rainbow Bridge. XDDD (X, again. XD)
All in all, it was a scarily Rayearth-based day of sightseeing, that one. XDDDDDDDDDD Much fun! (will picspam at some point!)

That was quite the day. One of these days I'll get to experience that too...I hope.
Omg, Down, that's incredible :0
Well, er, today; I got home and the freezer was defrosting everything, so my mother handed me a tub of Ben and Jerry's ice cream and said "Here, eat this"
I wasn't going to protest.
:D
It was Phish Food flavour, if you're interested.
EVERYONE should get to have a day like that one! There should be a fund or something. "Get Rayearth fans to Tokyo to Fangirl all day, and increase the happiness in the world!!!"
...only without the getting back to the hostel in the evening and realising an hour later that you are running a fairly high tempetature. ^^;;; (payment for the glee?)
I am now officially ILL, I think, (it's hard to be unbiased! and I can't ask anyone else because they'll fuss. ^^;) but I don't care! Because I can sleep the next few days without worries, and I am still so high that being ill cannot make me down. *amused at self*
Also, I have trapped Mils into Who, hehe, and watching the things my brain does when ill is always funny. XD
(My logic is almost never understood by anyone but me - and J-chan, usually - anyway. When ill? Even I don't know how I get from a to k. XDD)
I had glandular fever badly recurring for about three years in high school. Um, 13-16. this flu bug thing seems petty and pathetic in comparasion. Silver lining? XD;;;
eta: PHISH FOOD
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
*wants* XD
Its so nice out today, and I got the complete first season of CSI: MIAMI. Mmmmmm Horatio.
>.> And Im planning on giving my long haired cat a lion cut today (may or not make my day depending on how much he scratches me up compared to how funny he looks afterward - its getting too hot for him already ).
Down, that building has something to do with Fuji Film, but I cannot think of it right off.
Made my day today.... Well, I finally finished Doctor Who.
I watched Army of Ghosts before I left for my job. So I was on edge for seven hours wanting to know what happened next. I am now physically ill with grief for the characters. I suppose it is empathy of sorts. I know that feeling, but not so completely. And he never got a chance to tell her that he loves her.
On the bright side, I also read I Am a Dalek today. That made me giggle a few times. Definitely the bit about the Dalek getting a girlfriend, because they were all starting to wonder.
But honestly, I fear what my reaction will be to the end of Pirates 3 if I am so saddened by a series I only started a week and half ago.

I did actually try to read the notice boards outside, but, uh, cannot remember a thing taty said. ^^;;;
Re: doomsday ((((((((((((((((HUGS MILS)))))))))))))))))))
I KNOW. ;_; But then, I always treat it as a good show, if something manages to drag me in so much that the ending breaks me just as it breaks the characters... ((though that getting half way through it and stopping? though for different reasons? Made me yell YOU CAN'T DO THAT CLEF DID THAT STOPPIT! XD))
I was kinda numb the first time I watched the ending, a family friend had just died, I was home for the funeral, and watching it leaning against my Mum. ^^; The second time, it made me cry again, though. And that was all it.
as for PotC3... well, at least it's disney, not beeb? Disney doesn't tend to go as dark... ... ...
I almost cried at the Doctor Who finale.
But I only didn't because t'family were in the room.
Ahh, today.
It may not seem much, but it's like, major to me.
I did my biology homework. On a day before it's due in.
Without copying the markscheme. Or my friend's.
I feel so accomplished.
:D
Just to continue on with this silly kick.
I am now the proud owner of the Doctor Who soundtrack. My gran was out this evening, so I blasted the two vocal songs on the main stereo system. Mind you my grandfather once sold electronics, so it is old, but works brilliantly. Nice large loud speakers that live behind the side tables. my dog was not happy with me for it
After I went through my psychological evaluation of myself, I feel better. I know why it hurt so much that I was still crying off an on today. It wasn't just the episode, it ripped at an old wound I have pushed back so deep as to have nearly forgotten it.
Oh! How I ended up purchasing the soundtrack... I have one of those Border's Books member's card things. (Borders being a large book shop chain here in the US) I recieved a nice coupon today for some percentage off one item. Me having a lack os self control, decided I would go by the second box set. I found it, but decided to wander a bit before asking someone to open the glass case for me. I walked by the soundtrack section to find the Doctor Who sound track sitting out of place in full view as if waiting for me. The clerk at the till was amusing. I set my items on the counter and he states 'Ah! The good Doctor.'
I have been so giddy since. I just needed to spend money to feel better. ^.~
(hee, congrats, Revolutionnaire! XD I know the feeling. Biology homework hurts the soul. >.> (Though my worst course for that was history of art... writing essays under the desk in the lesson before hand. More than once. Such a good student, me. ^^;;;) )
Dr Who soundtrack = HEEE. ^^
MY PLUMBING IS FIXED!!!
I may have forgotten how to do chest compressions sorrectly for CPR (this is bugging me VERY MUCH) BUT MY PLUMBING IS FIXED!
I CAN FLUSH THE LOO WITHOUT MY BATHROOM FLOODING THROUGH THE FLOOR DRAIN.
I can run water into any of the sinks! I can even TAKE A SHOWER.
THIS BE GOOD
((yes still ill fairly random brain dead heh.))
I had wontons with cream cheese in them. Ahhh the simplicity at times of my life and what will make me happy.
I learnt four new kanji!
...no, wait, that's pathetic as all the studying that managed to hit my brain today. >.>
...I'm partially temporarily death in one ear? Um.
...
I was a dork and painted the extra tsubasa figures I have, so I now have two different Syaorans and a before/after Fai? XD oh dear. (then I body swapped the heads about. I'm six, really. XD)
It's St Patricks Day! Happy St Patricks day! ^^ (don't get TOO drunk, anyone!)
Woohoo Rivalry day. >.> Now all I'll have to do is hit everyone that cracks an irish joke except that out drinking and dancing one, I like that one. The Plunketts are Irish, but for some reason one of my teachers is always 'Plunkett, thats a good English name.' My Granda would have socked him one right there. meh
wear green!
yay!
Patterns at our fabric store in town are only 99cents so I will be partaking in lots of them. woot!

I did that last nightIt doesn't feel like St Patrick's Day. Normally, the nearby city (second biggest in England) gets really busy and the traffic is awful, because they close off roads to allow drunks to roam about. However, I was there today (whilst hungover X__x) and it was just as normal.
Oh yes, what made my day today:
Waking up in a house full of good friends and generally feeling content with life.
(i.e. nothing too interesting happened today)
I learnt something! Something I should probably have known, given the name...
fine bone china is actually made with bone in it.
...cool.
XD
Bone china is actually a type of porcelian. Real procelian is expensive because of the contents used to make it (rare materials/minerals), however most porcelian used to make things today is actually a gray porcelian which is completely CHEAP to make but they still sale it as the 'real deal'- i.e. the stuff that costs a leg and a arm. Just a little note for you all. (I used to throw with only porc on the wheel now I handbuild sculptural forms/with some throwing).
------
my class let out early today! woot.
Ragyn~ hee, thanks for the info. ^^ *fascinated*
Um. It's nearly 5am, and I'm not ready yet, and I havn't slept, at all, and I've got to get in a taxi at 7am to go to the airport to meet cousin's plane.
...
heh. Guess I'm going to be matching her in terms of sleep deprevation... XD;;; (Or being worse, if she managed to sleep on the plane...)
Some recipes for porc do include bone ash. Its a really really really white ash.
We also use stuff like borax and other semi and highly poisonus matter in glazes/clay bodies. Although interestingly enough once they are combined with the other minerals/matter and reach a certain temperture during firing they fuse together and become non-toxic. This is not a case, though, for glazes which contain lead. Lead is still sometimes used in glazes thats why you see "this item is not fit for food items" or some such sticker on some store bought pottery.
-------------------------
Its warm outside!
I just got back from an emtremely immense My Chemical Romance gig.
It was amazing.
Now, my legs are killing me.
Boo!
*FLYING VISIT*
XDD felt my second earthquake a few days ago... earthuakes while in the shower are VERY DISCONCERTING. ^^;
Also, visiting cousin was not that impressed. ^^;
Heh
Ah well.
*flies away to do more sightseeing-ness*
Found out that my normal typing speed, with some mistakes (a 2.5% average of mistakes) is at 58wps. woot. I still got it.
^.^ My brothers is 43wps. Oh yeah, typing battle will insue!
I went to Disneyland! <3
I rode Pirates of the Carribean and Haunted Mansion 3 times each...and felt like a delighted little kid again. ^.^
I stayed up to 1:30am finishing my psychology coursework then gave it in today.
And now it's the Easter holidays!
Yay!
I got a Wii! my brother got it for me for graduation!
WAHHHHHHHHHHH! I haven't posted in forever! Well... let's see what made my day.... Finally posting on Cephiro!!!!!!!!!! :D
What made my day yesterday would be the chance to SLEEP, PROPERLY, for the first time in two weeks. XD; the Visiting Cousin was trying to fit in as much sight-seeing as possible, so we were getting to sleep about 1am and getting up at 8 for the first few days, and progressivly slept less and less until I got an hour on the last night...
I slept for FOURTEEN HOURS STRAIGHT yesterday. XDDD
and also new tsubasa chapter. *flails* the last two chapters? have had me swearing loudly in public as I read them. ^^; heh.
what made today: there are Man from U.N.C.L.E. episodes avaliable on aol videos to download for free, yay!
vegie dill dip! its sooo good.
I'm not the only one who saw this possiblity.
"Like So. See? (http://community.livejournal.com/time_and_chips/2412618.html?thread=26043978#t26043978)"
I honestly need to focus on course work and not go mucking about online so much. I have about three long essays due in the next week or more. Meh.
four more weeks of school, four more weeks of school...
I went to hanami! (flower watching!) Ie, sitting under blooming cherry trees and chatting, eating and drinking with friends. XD it was SO PRETTY. and fun. and we got talked to by a large number of old salarymen. ^^;;;
worth it. Even if I've been wheezing and itching and sneezing ever since and I don;t think I should leave my room that much tomrrow. XD; (I have hayfever - and just so happen to be allergic to the cherry blossom pollen. Typical. XD;;;;;) but fun!
tomorrow, i will stay in and WRITE. >.>
Oh, also got placement for this term - and I've gone up a class with most of the people I was with last time, so that's all fine. ^^ yay. classes. >.>
Happy Good Friday to anyone it matters to! ^^
What made my day?
More like what made my entire past week!
Last Saturday, I travelled 7 hours and 260 miles to see my bestest best friend ever. Then we spent the week together til yesterday when we had to say goodbye and today, I went home.
Good times.
MY EYES ARE ITCHING
THEY WON'T STOP
...
I HATE SPRING
also homework. >.>
/ranting.
(please let the hayfever season go quickly! T_T)
I got my artist statement in! 3 more weeks of school! wooot!
This is the last week of classes!!!!!! .... Then finals are next week...
Oh, and I made $100 by doing next to nothing Yesterday and Tuesday. All I had to do was a little cooking, and medication monitoring, and listen to the same story about a fruit cake thre or four times. Good times. I got caught up on reading this month Glamour while she napped yesterday.
I'll tell you what totally made my day (and be aware this is a Monday!)... I GOT THE RAYEARTH DVD'S I ORDERED FROM EBAY ON THE MAIL TODAY!!! I watched about 7 episodes in between classes and I have no idea how I am gonna finish my Spanish lit. term paper because I am in full Rayearth mode now (and probably for the rest of the week... or month!). Dr. Hastings better be patient I guess...
What made my day today? Oh nothing too big. Rumor of a possible promotion at work, not getting carded for buying some Nyquil, got a brand new car, nothing too big really.
Oh, except for the car, of course. I got a 2007 Kia Spectra and it's Ice Blue. I'll have some pictures of it up soon. I'm so giddy now!
GOLDEN WEEK GOLDEN WEEK GOLDEN WEEK
Man, I've only had a few weeks of classes, and I already need this week off like WHOA. >.>
I can SLEEP IN!
...hang that, I can SLEEP! *clings to bed and refuses to leave*
Hope the new car's fun, Rogue! ^^ (I'm a motorbike person, myself... but then, I get car sick. So. ^^;)
and Gracita, enjoy the dvds! XD hee. Nothing like a Rayearth marathon as a method of procrastination ... ... ... uh, relaxation. ^^

Oh, and Rogue, I got one word for you: LUCKYYYYYYYY (enjoy your new car!)
Thanks y'all. I have so far. The ride is so smooth that it's hard to tell that you're going 70 miles an hour. XD
Jealous here! Im still driving my banged up '98 malibu.
-----------
I joined 'catster.com' ... a myspace site for cats. ^.^
HEH
I managed to find the camera cable and up my photos from tokyo to my pc, FINALLY. (though the arm was aching too much to do much with them...)
PLEASE DO NOT KILL ME FOR THE ICON. I COULDN'T HELP IT! XDDDDDDD
(um. it references the Rayearth OVA, for those who haven't seen it...)
also, Protecting You chapter nine is at c. 2890 words of coherent, continuous narrative. (out of prbably 7-10 thousand...) which is progress. hee!

That's where a bulk of my money is going.

Go you. I need to force myself to write Rayearth again.
I get the house to myself for the next four days. It will be brilliant. Guess what I will be watching on the Big Screen HD TV. *laughs*
Actually I should do MKR anime research. I need to make myself fall back into the fandom, but I doubt that will happen until after 23 June. As the fandom that has stolen my heart has killed off my Rayearth plot bunnies. And is making me write for it instead. Psuedo baby!fics are a fun write, though. I have 10 comments on one in a short day's time.
Heh, just rereading the manga will get me back, everytime. *sigh* so pretty~
Um. Though. My brain has been eaten by the heian era and broke, and so now I have thought processes that look like THIS:
Me: I WANT TO WRITE!
Brain: Well, I guess we could poke at Protecting You a bit... though Clef isn't actually speaking to you, after you kept singing 'good morning little school girl' at him yesterday
Me:THAT HAD TO BE DONE!
Brain: *ignoring interjection* and also, I'm trying to memorise the entire Fujiwara clan over here. Keeping track of what goes where in that thing and who is an assassin? SO not going to happen tonight.
Me: ...but! ;_;
Brain:... ... ... though. You could always start the epic epic Zazu/Ascot fic of genius!
Me: ...
...
...
Clef hide me!
Clef: *ignores plight*
Which may be amusing, but, uh, isn't getting anything DONE. Oh dear. ^^;
'Good morning little schoolgirl' is, btw, hilarious. XD
lol, I finished portfolio review! Now All I have to do is turn in one project, do some stuff for fun, clean up, and hang out next week till the 12th when I graduate! ^.^

Aww, congratulations, Ragyn!!! Hope everything goes great for you :)
It went wonderful! The portfolio review. Now all I have to do is one more clean up, move all my ceramics out of my studio (thats the sad part!) and graduate! Im so happy about graduating finally! Its next sat! there will be a live web feed but Im not sure where. some where on wku.edu 's pages. >.>
But Im a little worried about what Im going to do after graduating as its hard to find a job in kentucky that pays well with a Design degree... and especially not a Ceramic degree. I may have to just work at some ho hum place for awhile... like amazon or something. ...gulp.
ooh, congratulations on graduating, and good luck on the job front when that comes around! omedetou gozaimasu!
Heh. We had a Pirate Party in my dorm, (there were costumes. and a treasure hunt, with challenges. ...and writing pirate songs... (and actions for them. XD ) it was fun. ^^) and then a group of us went to karaoke... and stayed until the place shut at five am. ^^; We walked back, and the air was lovely - cool and clean, and the city is so quiet outside, the sun just up...
*happy sigh*
seeing as I studied through my week off, for once, that was a great break. XD
That does sound like fun, Down! Glad you had a good time :) Oh, and pirates are awesome by the way, my "but i don't wanna be a pirate" thing is just a Seinfeld reference :P
I don't have to go into work until 6:00 instead of 5:00. :D
I finished a 10-page paper for my Spanish lit. class and then watched the episode of Rayearth where Ferio rescues Fuu from Fahren ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Nothing spectacular has happened lately.
But, I'm going to buy a bass guitar.
No, I can't play. But I figured it can't be too difficult, I mean, it's only got four strings, right? *continues to delude self*
Last night, I was at a party and was singing the YMCA on karaoke, when we realised we were being watched by people outside... We shut the curtains.
It wouldn't have been too bad if we weren't all wearing togas.
I had sugar cookies!
I picked up a copy of .hack//G.U. Vol.2: Reminisce today and I booked my flight to California for AX. Any of you Californians that are going to AX have the chance to meet me in person.
*thinks about that*
Yeah, scratch that. You probably wouldn't want to do that. Hell, I don't even want to meet me. XD
lol, well... I dont think any of us live in cali. far from it. ahhh... Kentucky. >.> I gotta get out of here!
I'M GOING TO IRELAND! I GOT ACCEPTED!
*Happy dance like woaaaaah!*
I had my last final exam of the semester today and I got approved for a senior voice recital in the fall... Hello, early graduation!!! ;D
... And congrats on Ireland, Sci! :)
I had my last crit of my life, hopefully! YAY! sat is graduation!
I no longer have to go to college unless I have a lesson.
We used to have to go in for the full day.
I'll be leaving college in two weeks.
Then it's aload of exams.
Whoo.
I graduate in less than 12 hours. O.O
omg. so much to do!
I passed the term with high enough marks not to have to retake anything!!! I am happy. But I still have to bring my average up, so I can be accepted into the education program. Meh.
I am now working three jobs this summer. My main one has turned full time for the rest of the month. 40hr a week. That will make a nice addition to my bank account. I also gained another easy gig that only involves me waking up early early MWFs 6-8am next door helping my neighbor's mother get ready to go to her daycare. I can stand making breakfast and listening to stories about fruit cakes.
everyone's finishing stuff/ passing stuff/ getting accepted to stuff, cool! XD
(I'm in the middle of the term. It's kinda odd. XD;;; )
Today I decided that watching the Tsubasa anime was a justified way of revising for my test next week. That was fun. XD (Even if the anime is often hilarious and bad. ^^; mind you, Kurogane's backstory can apparently make me cry in any medium, even the anime T_T)
My neighbours must think I'm mad. ^^; I was yelling at the animators characters in bad japanese again...^^;;;
This is actually kinda belated but I GOT A NEW HAIRCUT! weee!
I learnt the kanji compound for 'ijiwaru' 意地悪 (ill-natured, meanie. XD) and promptly got the Primera song of the same name stuck in my head for an hour. XD
(I like Primera now! O_o; in Tsubasa, at least. Um. Yes.)
AHAHA THE BLOODY TEST WAS TODAY
AHAHA
I SO FAILED
DDD:
dunwanna know my mark! DDD:
...though that means NOT SO OVERRUN FOR THE REST OF THE WEEK, SCORE? (I might even have time to check out the Aoi matsuri/festival! It comes almost past Ritsu, I wanna gooooo! Teacher even promised us there would be cute ohime-sama there. XD )
GOT NO SLEEP LAST NIGHT RUNNING ON CAFFINE AND ADRENALINE gonna go crash now bai? ^^;;;;;;;;;
went and started the process to shut stuff off at the townhome. which means all those deposits will be coming back into my pocket! I totaled it up and they will be sending a combination of 350! woot! ....now all to see about is a walk through and then move, then find another apartment so I wont be living with my dad all that long. ^.^
IT'S FRIDAY EVENING. I need nothing more to make my day! Everything else is extra!
Extra: It's beginning to thunder! (I didn't realise just how many thunderstorms I'm used to until I came here and there have been barely any even when the temperature is changing. O_o;) 7-10 miles away by, uh, the second-counting method. XD;;;
And I went out to eat really good okonomiyaki with people for tea. mmm, okonomiyaki. ^^
ETA:of course, I forgot the bit where I'm on wireless and the net is now going wonky. ^^;;; OH WELL, I'll sit here in the dark adn watch the storm instead. >D
last day at my part time job. now its just moving! You guys might not be hearing from me for a while. -_- I should probably extend the lj contest just a little bit. I know a bunch of us are in the between stuff right now. ^.^
First and foremost. It is Saturday, and I am sure a few of you know what I am currently downloading at the moment. God Bless High Speed internet and the Tennant_Love community.
Also, I finally went shopping for some new summer clothes. It is hot and as I am out on the playground for about four hours of the day, I need some other clothes. Jeans are too hot. Due to my annoyingly shaped figure. I have taken to wearing skirts, as shorts are silly looking on me right now.
On said shopping spree, I ventured to Old Navy and there was a dungaree dress hanging off center on a rack to where is sort of stuck out amongst some jeans. I picked it up and tried it with some other things. It fitted perfectly. *laughs* Not I am sitting here in it. Very comfortable. ^.^

Shameless. Ego. Boost.

It is nearly my birthday!! On that note I already have one of my gifts. I have a new bicycle. I am such a five year-old at heart. ^.^
I have the greatest adventure getting the thing into my car to get it home. My car is little. I have photos. I am sure you all will get a kick out of it.

*giggle* He always waits until the last minute to tell companions about that little "trick".
I swear i replied to this thread two days ago. O_o;
(I was giggling and agreeing with you, Mils. XDDD)
anyway. HOPEFULLY WATCHING PIRATES TONIGHT >DDD (J-chan has already seen it in england, and I'm not allowed to talk to her until I have too, because I will ask for spoilers and she will tell me. ^^;;; XD )
Actually this is what made my day on Thursday. But whose counting? I haven't been on and it has been my birthday. I am the dictator/ pirate king
PIRATES!!! The film was fantastic! I loved it. Went to the showing in costume with my friend who went as Norrington. That was fun. I couldn't get my accent right. I usually can do a nearly flawless Cpt. Jack Sparrow, but as I have been out of practice and watching other things that involve a different type of ship, I found my accent turned to a weird muddle of 9/10/Rose/Cpt. Jack Sparrow, which kept making me giggle.
I love the fact that it freaks people out to find that I am girl when I am dressed up in that costume. I suppose the idea that a girl would dress as a male pirate is strange? I would love to make the costume Elizabeth wears on Sao Feng's ship. It is beautiful.
I was also struck with a silly drabble idea when it comes to someone being voted "pirate king".
Now for today:
I went out to lunch with my gran, two of my friends, and a friend's mum. It was lovely. One of the girfts was in a bucket and covered in socks as the wrapping, and the other which was wrapped normally in lovely paper, contained a Jolly Roger, among other things. That just made me giggle, an dI want to hang it out side, but I don't know what the neighbors would think.
This happened on Friday, but I don't care.
I left school! And then it was our Leaver's Do/Prom/Whatever you want to call it.
It was amazing!
Anyway, I enjoyed myself.
Now I have some A-Level exams to do...
Those are gorgeous Chinese styled outfits Sao has Elizabeth wear! When I saw them I was like "How do I make these?"
anyways... internets! Yay!
I watched Pirates yesterday.
It was really good. It was better than I expected it to be.
Good stuff
I will now go watch Doctor Who on the Beeb. Only five minutes to go...
My friends Melanie and Luke let me and my boyfriend Chris borrow their copy of wario ware smooth moves for wii, it's freaking AWESOME!!! XD ...Ohhh, and did I ever tell you guys I made my own Hikaru, Umi, and Fuu miis? They're adorable!
WHEN WILL THIS WEEK END? DDD:
*drowned by work*
Must. Make. Friday. Test. ...
(If no one hears from me again, sing Hoist the colours Over the hills and far away in my memory. >.> Or a pirate song of your choice!)
I missed Splash Day. All because a co-worker had a dentist appointment this morning. So I had to work in a different room this morning instead of helping in the older room. So I wore my swim suit this moring for nothing.
We were going to be taking the pre-schoolers out for water play. But I missed it. *is so disppointed* I am such a little kid at heart. That would havew been brilliant. The play yard is wet and muddy now, but I know the damp children I saw earlier had fun.
I suppose making a fuss over that is better than the other thing that was frustrating me today. I really need to get back to doing sport or something. I am too seditary for my own good. I idiotically stepped on a scale this moring and was not happy with that I saw. I've gained 10lb since the last time I weight myself. Good God. *groan*
So yeah, Mils is not happy with her day so far.
...my own school does not accept letters of rec from its own education professors for graduate programs...so now I have to go bother another professor.
...And the European college system hurts my head. What on earth are modules and how do they function? At least I have a whole week to review things...

From my understanding of modules, modules are like different topics. And in the course I'll be taking, there are two core modules which I must take and then, I can choose which other modules I want to do.
Did that help at all?
Knowing that my AX plans are turning out just fine.
But also my performance review was yesterday. At Starbucks (and probably a bunch of other places) you get rated on a scale of 1 to 3 (which is also the percentage of your raise). A 1 is Needs Improvement, a 2 is Meets Expectations and a 3 is Exceeds Expectations. It's possible to get right in the middle, so they do a lot of rounding. Basically 1-1.59 is a 1, a 1.6-2.59 is a 2 and 2.6-3 is obviously a 3. Have I lost anyone yet?
Anyways, my first review was like a 1.9 or a 1.95, so I got a 2. I was told to improve and if I got a 3 on my next review, they'd look at me for a promotion to Shift Supervisor. That was back in January. Fast-forwarding to yesterday. I went in, went over my review with my boss and everything went fine. After some calculations, it was determined that I got a 2.61 this time, which rounds up to a 3, and within the next 2 months, I'll get my promotion.
So yeah, that's what's made my day.
I WILL PROBABLY HAVE NO NET TILL MONDAY
DDDDD:
*CLINGS TO PEOPLE*
I SHALL SEE YOU IF I SURVIVE!!!!
(nothing bad. the router ate our settings and the papers are locked in storage. ^^;;;;)
Im going to an interview at Amazon on monday. eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee wish me luck y'all.

A little...I'll probably just see when I get there.
And Rogue! Look for me at AX! I will be cosplaying (bright yellow Ouran school dress and then bright teal FMP! outfit)...
And only finals left! That is to say, completing 2.5 essays and a written final. Then working like a dog.
Oh summer...I don't like you very much.
I'll look for you there! I should be cosplaying as well...as Ikari Gendou and that's only because it's a character that has a beard that I can pull off.

*should be able to help on this, actually BEING in a british university* *has not got the brainpower to do so. ^^;;;* Meh. Most Universities seem to have their own slightly wierd system, so they should provide you with all the information you need at some point. ^^;;; Course Modules = a-course-of-learning-about-a-specific-topic, ie a series of lectures and seminars for a term on, say, Richard II would be a Course Module. ...I think. ^^;;;
It'd be easier to call them just courses, but that's what we call our degree programs. XD;;; (yay for overused words. >.>)
Thanks! I'll figure it out eventually...

Come September, I'll be at an English university. This is on the premise I actually pass my exams. I can but hope.
What made my day today?
Er. Got some letter from Student Finance (government ran thing that pays for your tutition fees (which you pay back later) and gives those from disadvantaged families free money). Which I can only presume means my application hasn't been thrown back in my face.
Which is good!
new who NEW WHO
I KNEW IT!!! XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
Heh, I would squeak at Derek Jacobi just for standing in a room and breathing, nevermind being in an episode of Who. XDDD (I have a fondness for him since watching Caedfael XDDD)
(Also, HELLO, PEOPLE! YOUR ISSUES ARE SHOWING! XDDDD especially you, Doctor! XDDDDD)
Last night I had a very long, AWESOME talk with my boyfriend on msn messenger. I've missed him a lot since I came to visit my parents, and I won't get to see him for another 47 days, so it really was great to just be able to laugh and have fun with him like we do when we're sitting next to each other. We even played Wheel of Fortune (and he absolutely anihilated me, haha)! I can't wait to go back to the US in August and see him, we're having our 2nd year anniversary and it's going to be SCHWEEEEEEEET!
XDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXD
Ohh, and on top of all that, while Chris and I talked my ex, Diego, got online too and for some reason his display name was "I like d*ck" (probably the product of an angry girl knowing his password), so I asked him "really?", got him really embarrassed, and then told him I had to go to bed to diss him and dedicate all of my attention to Chris. As I see it, i't not vengeance; it's just justice. And i LOVVVVVVE IT!
... A little drama never killed anyone, right? ;)
The other half of my brain (read: best friend XD) got her results for her degree!
SHE IS GRADUATING WITH A FIRST! (first class honours, highest
I AM FLAILING SO DAMN HARD FOR HER, because she's insanely clever, and works insanely hard, and she deserves this so damn much. *is incredibly proud*
...of course, this puts the pressure on me for next year, now. XD;;; ah well! ganbarou!
Takarazuka! go look them up now! Elisabeth or Phantom. OMG sooo good. The dvds and the like are super expensive tho. And only avaliable in Japan. WEEP. Im going to have to do something to get the Elisabeth one with Flower production cast. Sell my soul or close to it. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Doctor Who today was amazing
And er, I only have one A-Level exam left.
Which is on Monday morning.
Which is good! I wanna get it over and done with.

I cannot wait to see it. Hopefully, Measi has up the MP4 of it before I leave for DC. I really want to watch it before I go. I am dying to know what happens.
As for last week's, OH MY GOD!! There was a point to HN and FoB, though I still am not too fond of them. I think my favorite episode this time round is "Blink".
After the fun hastle of everything involved in getting the episode. I have finally watched it and cannot wait to see the next one. I'll see if Laura is okay with me leaving this stuff on her computer until I can download it sat, convert it and upload it to my ipod, for travel.
Hopefully it won't take as long as it did for this one. I cannot wait to see how this thing pans out!!! OMG!! The archenemy under his nose all along. That is brilliant. Why does it have to be Tuesday?
But staying on Penn. Ave. is amusing. Every few hours or more a motorcade comes by. Sirens blaring, the works. There go the limos with the flags again.... with the full crew. Emergency, Police, everything.
Sounds like it's fun Mils.
As for me, I get to head to Anime Expo the day after tomorrow. I'm ecstatic. I just cannot wait for it.
Today I learned that there is a German verb, FAHREN, and it means "to drive" (which makes sense for a car name, I suppose).
MKR reference in GERMAN CLASS FTW. <33
Eugh, I hated German
Anyway, yesterday the computer died, and I suspected it was a hard drive crash.
Last time we had a hard drive crash, we lost everything on it. It was devastating.
Anywaaay, turns out the graphics card was leaking, so it's been fixed up and here I am. With my hard drive.
And I finished my A-levels.
w00t!
I hadn't twigged to fahren. XDDD heh. (god, I have to pick up my german, french AND latin over the summer before running into the early medieval chronicles in october... D: DOOMED. Not that any of them should be written in german, that I know of, but english is a germanic language that gets more germanic as you go further back, so it's helpful. XD;;;)
IT'S THUNDERING! *war dance* Not that it will manage to get much cooler, but it's something! XD I may, in fact, be beginnng to adjust to the heat...?
...though now that I've said that, I've probably jnxed myself... ^^;;;
also, Blair is Out. XD Not that I think much more of Brown, but I feel like I should mention a change of Prime Minister in some way? and the temptation to do a victory dance is strong. ^^; BLAIR IS OUT~!
Revolutionnaire ~ CONGRATULATONS ON FINISHING YOUR EXAMS! ^^ Glad the harddrive wasn't too much of a problem, as well. (Hope the flooding I keep hearing about isn't affecting you or yours. D: )
but mainly I'm happy because WHO FINALE THIS WEEKEND! XD
Doctor Who is on tomorrow!
I'm so excitied. But I don't want it to end.
And I finally bought a digital camera, hoorah!
And thankyou Down, and we're not flooded. We never flood. Our entire town is on a hill.
It's a benefit of living near the Pennines I suppose.
I am going to the beach for 5 dayyyyys, wooooooot!!!
<dances around, does cartwheels, and smiles REAl big>
...I'll let you guys know how the trip went when I get back :)
OH MY GOD!

But seriously, six months is nearly too long a wait.
Random thought One: But I wonder if we will see Nine again. Given that it was the Titantic at the end, and the whole thing with Nine having been on it when it crashed.
Random thought Two: female timelord?
It is the 4th. No work, no class, just family and food. Woot. I got to sleep in. 8:30!!!
From what I've heard, Martha will be returning half-way into series four, she'll also appear in three episodes of Torchwood.
There'll be another companion who'll be in all of series four.
Oh, and Kylie Minogue will be in the Titanic episode.
And JK Rowling might be writing an episode aswell.
What's really bad, is that the bit about Kylie Minogue actually made the news...
I'm back from the beach, it was AMAZING!!! Here's some pics for your viewing entertainment :)

am not dead! ...just feels like it. and this week sucks. (not least, because I dropped my laptop. which now hates me utterly. and half the keys on the keyboard aren't working right unless you thump them.)
and we were going to go see the Gion Matsuri floats wearing Yukata, but it's chucking it down so Yamamoto-san called it off, and now we'll probably have to just go one one of the days when there are so many people you can barely breathe let alone see anything. >.< GEH.
but at least there was new tsubasa to console me. (a more intresting chapter than the last few, imo, as well. xD) and it's not as insanly hot as it was before...
someone tell me their week has gone better than mine? D:
The flu came to my house but skipped me altogether... yay for health! And somehow my long-lost writing muse seems to be returning these days, especially late at night--I guess I just needed to start staying up late like in the old days to find her again. Still, I wonder why sleep deprivation facilitates my writing, hmmm... makes no sense but hey, I'll take it!
Hope you guys are doing well :) ♥
Went to London yesterday.
Got there fine and wandered around, watched some Shakespeare and it was all going well.
Until, we were returning back to the Train station, when it said that all trains were cancelled. A train somewhere had ran over (and thus killed) some one.
So then, we were stranded in London. Which is roughly 200 miles away from where I live.
So, we waited around for a few hours and eventually caught a train, but it wasn't our train so it didn't go all the way to Manchester (where I live ...ish), so we had to get off at some random station and then get another train to Manchester.
We eventually got to Manchester at Midnight (meant to have been there at 10), and I had missed my last bus home, but luckily, I managed to get a lift home.
As to what made my day, on the second train home, under the table we were sat at, we found two porn magazines. Oh joy of sweet joys. (Ok, so it didn't make my actual day, it was just amusing)
It was a generally fun day out though.
I'm still around!
In fact, what has made my day is the fact that I am getting promoted. I found out two days ago. I'll be training for a couple of weeks and then I'll be sitting in my new position as a Shift Supervisor for Starbucks. I'm friggin stoked!

heh.
I've been running on 6-4hours sleep a night for about three weeks, now, and thursday night I slept not at all. I do best on 9 a night. Last night? SIXTEEN HOURS STRAIGHT. (also, I went to bed at 6pm. ^^;;;;;; )
...and I'm still tired!
XD;;;;;;;;;
now I have to pack up my room, and organise pretty much everything before my family gets here on the 26th. ...I also don't get Harry Potter 7 until then, so I'll probably be hiding from the net and the rampant spoilers until they cart it over. ^^;;;
Dude! DONE!
Well, apart from a questionairre that I'm meant to be handing out to people to use when I'm back in england. ^^; (I have...4 replies! ...I probably need 20+, but still!)
*yawns* sheesh.
right. will be back in england on the 13th... will probably be making it back into writing fic about the 18th august? I SHOULD have stuff more sorted by then... though the summer prep for uni will be trying to kill me. XD

I finished Harry Potter.
Don't worry, I'll keep it to myself.
I went to a Midnight Release Party, and then read it through the night.
Only problem is, no one else has seemed to read it yet, so there os no one to discuss it with.

I should be finished tomorrow evening. I just got to where a word was said. Around page 445 State-side.
I went to a midnight release party last night and was so crossfandoming it. I was dressed in my Witch Hunter robin costume and I had my wand, sonic screwdriver andpsychic paper on me. ^.~ You never know. Screwdriver amused the 12-year-old I was chatting to for a bit. She naturally looks like Ginny but was dressed as Hermione (frizzy hair). Confusing to many people.
Yeah, I'm naturally ginger, so when my friends turned up and accused me of not dressing up (neither were they), I simply said that I was 'Ginny on a Weekend'.
Clever.
I wish I had a sonic screwdriver.
I got $300 of free jewelery, need I say more?
I have a laptop!
I'm so happy.
And I have wireless internet, so I can sit in bed and go online.
It's my birthday!
Whoo!
...I don't feel any different :/
Mils I blame you in this. After repeated tries by you, mentioning here and there, and a few other friends... I finally caved in. ^That.
I've been promoted to Shift Supervisor and now I get to transfer to another store. It's a step in the right direction for me. A new store which could lead to a new transfer for when I plan to move to Missouri to live with my girlfriend.
Aha! The Doctor Who fandom is growing! Excellent. I managed to convert a friend of mine too.
Anyway.
What made my day today
I have got into my university of choice!
I move in a month today.
I'm so excited.
But yeah, got my results. Three Cs and a D. Not too bad. Didn't fail biology. And was just four marks off a B in Religious Studies (oof)
But who cares! I'm in!
Heres what made my day today: Getting my hands on the second season (tenth doctor). Watching ALL of it, and deciding that yeah, I do like ninth doctor better than tenth (currently running arguments with friends standing at deadlock. Her tenth and my fav ninth. I will win the battle! haha! ahem...).
Heres what didnt make my day: No Rose! omg, I cried the snot right out of me. (And thats putting it lightly!) Horrible horrible horrible. Im stilling scrambling up the walls. Also found out that my brakes are shot on my car and the rotary? is basically gone. My dad was rather suprized I was still able to come to a stop while driving home from work.
Now, ahh, ehh , anyone know where I can wonder into ummm a bit of the third?

What made my day, yesterday:
I went to the Doctor Who: Up Close Exhibition
Omg, it was insane. I couldn't believe how close to was to an actual Dalek and K-9. K-9 is alot bigger than I expected, regardless, I then took MySpace-esque photos with K-9 xDDD
It was good
The merchandise in the shop was far too expensive though, so I bought some 50p badges xD

I gave a kid nightmares by showing "Blink" to her.? Oops.
Currently using the comp at the hotel I am staying at. Have been at it for a while.? I may have now discovered that they are not refunding me the extra money paided for my tuition, save the first $235.? My books cost me $400 out of pocket.? I want my other $1000, People!!!? ?
Not just because I need to pay off my credit cards again. But still.

Unfortunately, or rather fortunately... either way you look at it, I no longer have cable. Decided that it wasnt something I really did a lot of, watch tv. So we got rid of it since no one really watches anything. However I think I've found season three sooo Im eagerly awaiting it to finish. yay.
What really made my day today is that I got two great knitting books! Domi-knit-rix AND Stictch and Bitch nation. Wonderul. I havent ever tried really knitting a sweater sooooo Im hoping to try it. After I finish this scarf and blanket.
designing my first ever sweater to knit. Im hoping to have the words Bad Wolf (maybe in welsh?) underneath a wolf head. Not sure if the wolf head would be over doing it. Either that or I was going to try and make a dalek outline in white on a black bg. hum... so much. I will definately post pictures of it when I get done. Hopefully it wont turn out horrible considering this will be my first sweater ... ever.
What made my day = getting on here again and reading everything! XDDD
Revolutionairre - well done on uni! *waves enthusiastically*
and, heee, more Who converts. >D More, a Who fan who knits, too! Anyone else on here knit? (Not that I am any good at it... and I like bobbin lace making best, but that's not particularly portable. ^^;)
Plus, it was the birthday of my best friend so I took her to London to see the Lord of the Rings musical, which was fun. XD (the plot was horrendously squidged to fit it in, of course, but twas much fun. XDDD)
Finding out theres a lord of the rings musical.
Now this is a MUST see. lol
My cat peed! Seriously this made me so happy. It wasnt tinged with blood or anything. My brother thought it was pretty funny me bending down trying to lift his long fluffy tail as he did his buisness and checking to see if he really was peeing. And it wasnt just a squirt it was a full pee. Yay!
Chris and I have officially been dating for 2 years!!! We went out wednesday and re-created our first date, it was awesome: went out to dinner, stopped by walmart on the way back and looked around for tooth medicine for 5 minutes and then gave up (this actually happened on our first date, I had just had tooth surgery and it was bothering me, lol), came home and watched monty python and the holy grail... ♥♥♥♥♥ ;D
Ohhh, and my sister came to see me today, I got her a go-phone and she got sooo excited about it! it was fun just hearing her ask everyone "is this for real? seriously?" lol. She had to leave early though, I kinda wish she could've stayed till tomorrow, we could've watched a lot of Aqua Teen Hunger Force...
And last, but not least, I am trying to learn to play the guitar again and I have kept at it for a whole week, ladies and gentlemen, A WHOLE WEEK! Hopefully this time I will keep practicing and finally learn something instead of just getting upset because I can't play like a pro after the first 5 minutes and just getting upset and not playing again for like another 2 years. At least I can read music now, I guess this will make a little difference. But yeah, I'm excited about maybe becoming better at this :)
... and did I hear the word "knitting" around the forum? lol, I need to start doing that again, last winter I was all about learning to do it just so I could make me an awesome poncho for when i just wanna be all cozy at home and this is the time when I still haven't finished making my practice scarf, lol. Good luck to me I guess :P
Rayearth on my iPod!!!
I so totally rock. I have the file of episode one to share, I will start converting the others later.
Found a dress to use for my Rose costume. $9! Cheaper than if I were going to make it myself. I think I will need to take it in a bit, but I couldn't beat the price. I will readjust the hem and all this weekend.
I still have shoes to find and a jacket to attmpt making.

Torchwood aired state-side yesterday. Need I say more?
This week between each episode is going to kill me. I'll be hunting it down soon online, I am sure.
Stage make-up class is sooo rocking my socks right now. today my professor showed the class various techniques and by the end of it her face was a mixture of old lady on the forehead, thin nose on one side and wide on the other, one big eye and one tiny eye, a swollen left cheek, and some huge, red lips like Ursula's from the Little Mermaid (gosh, i love Denise!). And now I got two 2-d make-up projects for the weekend, one has to be a character from a play who is about my age (I think I'll do the lady of the lake from Spamalot) and the other has to be an old person... me = soooooo excited!!! :D
I am moving into my University accommodatiom tomorrow. I am ver excited. But alas, I have no internet connection, so I may be absent. For a long while. There are rumours we're getting wi-fi sometime soon, but I dunno.
And also, to keep in with the Doctor Who theme going on:
The Sarah Jane Adventures starts a week on Monday. I don't care if it's aimed at kids, Elisabeth Sladen is hot, and I jusy hope I won't have any classes/lectures/tutorials/seminars that prevent watching it. Failing that, I'll have the parents record it for me.
(I can't believe Torchwood has only started airing in America. Season 2 starts over here in January. Yay!)

Because BBC America hates us. Series 2 of Doctor Who only just started when Torchwood did. Thankfully Doctor Who was picked up by SciFi channel, so 2 and 3 have already aired, but I have the DVDs of 1 & 2 and downloaded 3, so I saw it before it aired state side.
New computer!... I said NEW COMPUTER!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!! YESSSSSSSS
Hello :D! I'm on some random wi-fi right now.
Anyway, I watched The Sarah Jane Adventures today. I won't say too much. But I liked it :D There were some really cute moments in, I enjoyed that.
Yeah, I watched it on my pocket TV that only gets a vaguely decent BBC One. And it has the tiniest little screen ever. Never mind. It's better than nothing.
I am also enjoying Uni. :D I have my first lecture on Wednesday. It's very excitng.
The only bad things is the lack of internet and my housemates bad taste in music.
SCI IS GOING TO LONDON AND PARIS AND SPAIN!
(My Spanish needs rehabilitation....:0)
:):):):)
I own the Doctor Who Second Series DVD Boxset.
Hooray!
Though I watched Doomsday and started crying hysterically...
Erm.
I've had tocome home for the week from uni... I chemically burnt my feet on Sunday (don't ask). It's ok now, I mean, I can now walk again and the pain and swelling has gone on one foot. I should be back at uni soon and be internetless again. Hooray.

There will be an Alethiometer toy and possibly a really nice replica!! It is supposed to be released this month or next. I cannot wait for the film in December. (see: The Golden Compass/The Northern Lights -book 1 of His Dark Materials trilogy)
I have wanted one since I read the books in high school. And I always thought it would make a fabulous film. I cannot wait. *squee!!!*
Finding Torchwood on youtube. I have now see all of it!!
I cannot wait for the continuation. I still wish the DVDs were out stateside (extras deleted scenes and such) I don't know if I am willing to spend ?41.24 plus P&P on it.
?41.24?! For the whole set?!
That's really cheap! It's about ?70 over here.
Yeah, well, I'm watching The Sarah Jane Adventures right now on BBC One, as I type. *massive kid*
Oh. And I return to university tomorrow! Hoorah! I miss it so much.

I'm the complete series box out 19 Nov. (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Torchwood-1-Complete/dp/B000VA3JFW/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/203-7989993-9427917?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1191894929&sr=8-1) Where are you looking for ?70?
Sarah Jane!! I plan to start that soon. Same person on youtube who has Torchwood up also has SJA. *squee*
I came back to the forum that's what! XD
I have laid claim to my BF's offensively plaid flannel shirt. This made my WEEK.
?41?!
Yeah, I was thinking HMV (a music/DVD shop), where boxsets tend to be ?70. It may be cheaper. I don't know yet.
I'm going to see my best friend tomorrow :D!
I now have all of Series One of Doctor Who (what else?) for ?25
Not a box set mind you, because that was ?70 (seriously). So I bought the basic individual DVDs.

I discovered I had one more audio book downloaded than I thought, and then the plot bunnies ate my brain... so I have s short, but multi-chaptered post doomsday, crack, dragons in Oklahoma, DW fic. Save me.
I think I passed my chemistry exam! Yay! *trying to be happy 'n' positive*

TORCHWOOD
Well, technicallly it was yesterday, but being in the UK means I can watch it over and over again on BBC iPlayer...
I feel fantastic... no school until August (which is when my grad program starts), it's raining out but I don't have to go anywhere today so i'm rocking it out in my house clothes, listening to Jonathan Coulton's whole collection, and possibly fixing something for lunch within the next few minutes. God, I love days like this! Hopefully I'll get my fix of laziness before it's finally time to go out there and get a job...

I hate the iPlayer. It is just there to taunt me. I can watch the advert at the beginning, but nothing else. Damn you, BBC!! Taking away my video joy from your website. Just because I don't live in the UK.
...I have to wait until next saturday. Meh. And that is when Series 3 of DW will start. WTF? BBCA is on crack.
It has not been a good day. I've lost my calculator. I I am having annoying girl issues, and I forgot my dinner in the fridge at my job. And couldn't go back because the doors are locked this time of night.
I got a job!!! I am working as a permanent substitute teacher at the high school in my town. I get to teach 5 Spanish II classes and one Spanish III class everyday, I grade lots and lots of assignments (fun!... maybe not so much), and I get to boss kids around a little, mwahahaaaa... it's pretty fun though, and I got a microwave and a mini fridge in my room ;) but the best part is getting money for doing this! can't wait till i get my first paycheck XD
I FAILED AN ESSAY
HOORAY FOR ME
Pfft. I can resubmit it, I ain't worried.
Two words: SNOW DAY.
I'm home watching the price is right (which is currently going off I guess), wearing my comfy sweatpants, and feeling like making tea thanks to Revolutionnaire (the whole "make tea, not war" thing... lol). Life is good.
Please Please let the rumours be true and 5 April be the date!!!! And there is a chance I will be introducing my cousin to SJA this summer. His mum is going to Israel for three weeks and we might be keeping him.
Even if we weren't I will be recording it for him.
But SEriously.. If it is true!!! 5 April!! Still means the finale will air while I am inDC. Damn you DAR.
Yes! 5th April is the start date :D
I cannae wait.
I was able to have a nice lunch and movie with a few friends of mine today; it was nice and sweet. We ended up renting August Rush... It was such a sweet movie! The soundtrack was beautiful, the scenes were perfect, the actors amazing, and the message was really brought down hard!
OMG!YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!
Yeah. I liked it :D
I had some nice Dim Sum for dinner today. ♥
I got accepted to the grad program I wanted at the school I wanted!!! I'm starting this fall, I gotta teach two lower-level Spanish courses but in exchange I get free tuition, free health insurance, and a 12k stipend for the school year... me = soooooooo happy!!! :D
Congratulations! That must of felt good. I hope it keeps going well for you. ^_^
Aww, thank you so much, Itena! I am still very happy and excited about it all :)
I've got a new house :D
I move in on Tuesday
Woahoh! That's certainly big news! :o
I'm engaged!!!! ;D ;D ;D

I SLEPT ELEVEN HOURS LAST NIGHT.
Admittedly I seem to have been having a dream about a serial murdered this morning and didn't get to the end of it (I KNOW my protagonist was going to end up trapped and taking him out in a ~Surprise Twist~ because it was a ~horror movie~ shaped plot but I think there were about three more of the party who were going to die first?) which was less restful than I've have liked, but SLEEEEEEEEP. And now IT'S THE WEEKEND FOR ME~
(FOUR DAYS this weekend! ...This is because next week I don't GET a weekend and will be a complete zombie by the time I hit November, but! I am appreciating this while it's here. ^^)

Normal rice? I'm fine. Sticky rice? I FORGET IT AND IT BUUUUUUUURNS. >.> *short attention span* I'm not so good with food I actually have to stir or so when it's cooking. Takes effort.... Dad pointed out where his lives, and then put too much rice in when we were arguing over water levels, so we ALL had rice for lunch. XD
The transformer I have ALSO now found - which is good, I need it for my kotatsu! (not that I have room to get the kotatsu out, woe!) - but it's, uh, lodged underneath a trunk of books, half a train set, and three duvets in the loft. (I went looking for a second duvet for when the temperature drops again, and THERE IT WAS. ^^;)

XD Of course, I can't stop laughing, because being naff at titles/names I nicked most of them from a Bernard Cornwell book - a lot are old-english names for places in the uk - and this means that I have the Isle of Wright higher than London... And somehow the Wash is between London and the Thames... (actually, it's rather like the USA. XD)
(This had to be done today because I'm trying to sense-check my politics for geography. All I can say is, I am GLAD I am not Schwarzem or whoever the rep from Cynuit is, heh. Overlapping spheres of influence~)
(at this rate, I might even manage to get my cast list up to date soon! SHOCK.)
agreed. Chat was great! Glad to see everyone.
Work has been busy for once which is a big moral boost! I've been worried about the shop pulling in money since its my bread and butter.
I'm currently chatting a man from Russia that reminds me so much of Clef. At least fandom Clef. (I'm using a chat program that randomly selects someone for you to talk to.)
He is multilingual (original language Russian, fluent in English, knows some Japanese, and many other languages) He actually studies linguistics.
He paused in the middle of our chat to go get a cup of tea XDD
He has been asking me about the books I read and the languages I know.
(I'm going to keep prodding him to see what else is similar)
That time Clef found out that Lantis had told Umi the story of when he walked in on Clef making out with Eagle's father in the kitchen.
I don't think that can be topped today.
I love you and your fic, Down!
Last week I got promoted to CSM which means I am finally off the returns register after almost two years. The downside is that I'm the closing CSM which means I always close starting now until forever. Luckily we close at 8:00pm. Today is the first time in at least six months that I work 4:00-close. Which is awesome. A four-hour shift? I will take it! All I really have to do is get codes for my cashiers and clean up the floral department.
The best part is that I still get up at nine but I've got a few hours to just relax and bum around the house. This is perfect.
Well, it didn't necessarily happen today, but I figured I'd mention it.
I got my tickets for the upcoming Video Games Live concert happening in January. I ordered two and I'm taking the girl I'm dating with me. Which, funny story, she's someone Mils went to high school with.
Sucessfully parallel parked the car! a decent 20cm from pavement!
Not quite as awesome as tickets for dates or promotions or anything but VERY SATISFYING. >D
(Congrats on the promotion, Suz!)
YAY for parallel parking! That's definitely a skill that some people lack. My husband hates to parallel park.
Tell Ren hi for me, Rogue!
I have nothing more than I have already reported.
GIFS OF THE FUJI TV BUILDING FALLING ON CLEF (http://mkrscreencaps.tumblr.com/post/34374411916/i-got-this-kind-of-indirect-request-from#notes)
MADE FOR ME
.........I SHALL SAY NO MORE (I shall be sat cacking over these for, uh, AT LEAST A WEEK XDD)
(I have never quite let myself directly request these gifs of anyone but she took my incoherence on my reblog of her offer and made it happen and I am very very glad)
(Clef hates me. XDDD)
(seriously, I know several people who gif, and have never let myself beg, and now I am satisfied without having QUITE asked directly so MY CONSCIENCE IS AT LEAST PARTIALLY CLEAN)
(aside from that, the internet is being intermittent due to hail so I am not in chat tonight, alas.)
I'm so happy those were made for you! They made me smile.
Damn your internet. I'm all alone on the internet tonight. *cries*
I'm watching the OVA again... because..... CLEF!!!
Those gifs... Let me just say I'm dying of laughter right now.
MERLIN!
MERLINMERLINMERLIN
MERLIN MERLIN MERLIN MERLIN MERLIN
........MERLIN!
*flails about like a maniac* *falls onto sofa* *cackles*
MERLIN!
(I- I don't HAVE many new shows I get so hooked to that I have to actually watch them week by week! Currently I have two: Merlin and Lewis. ....Next season of Lewis is a) aimed to be the last therefore I am worried about his SURVIVAL and b) not on until next april or something. BUT MERLIN IS AWESOME AND RIDICULOUS AND I LOVE IT AND AM TERRIFIED AT THE SAME TIME BECAUSE THIS IS ARTHURIAN LEGEND, WHICH COMES WITH THE ENDING BUILT IN? BUT I LOVE IT they play with all the arthurian tropes and medieval things which make my heart SING while deliberately playing with the historical nature of it enough that my medievalist mind can let go of all the things which AREN'T right because THEY AREN'T MEANT TO BE)
(........apart from the bit where they burn magic users. WITCHES WERE HANGED, NOT BURNT. BURNING IS FOR HERETICS!!!!!!!!!!!!)
(and yes last week I screamed that at the beginning of the episode so loudly that my mother nearly banned me from the room ^^;;;;;;;;;;)
IN CONCLUSION?
MERLIN!
Because of your giddiness over Merlin, I've started watching, Down. I'm about 6 episodes in? Maybe more. I love it.
I had a hallowe'en party with a group of friends. We had a great time.
I would have said that getting my Scenario book made my day, but the postal worker didn't ring the bell, and just dropped off the slip I have to take to the post office on Monday to pick my parcel up. Bleh. I was in my towel after a shower, and the alarm was on or I might have jogged after her to get it.
I finally completed all the collections for the museum in my Animal Crossing town (http://petite-d.tumblr.com/post/34464051953/thank-you-to-everyone-who-offered-to-help-me-get) of FOUR YEARS.

I shouldn't. I'm having too much fun with Rayearth again right now. Need to drag in some more people.
And I am not sure I will be THAT into it to read/write it, which is when I tend to wander. But my first true OTP is Umi/Clef. You know if I did wander, I would always be back.
XD I know, I just also know how addictive Merlin can be? I am trying not to wander into its loving arms and abandon all sense!
............in which case that was really a warning to myself. XDDDDD
(I am mostly safe because I don't like writing for open canon XD)
I FINALLY GOT MY SCENARIO COLLECTION BOOKS!!!!!
(I'll scan these bits in the back if you'll help translate them, Down)
I LOVE THEM!!! They are so TINY!!!

and AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH the one where Ascot's friends are encouraging him is so cute but also so OH POOR BOY considering she actually shoots him down in the anime when he gets up courage to confess..... *hugs Ascot*
I GOT MY BOW!!!!!
After months of waiting I finally got my new bow and three arrows from when I lost my mind and decided that I needed the functional replica of the Capital bow from the Hunger Games film.
MY BOW!!!!!!
I am watching Puella Magi Madoka Magica!
I have not watched it since the first time I saw it! (I caught up half way through the series and watched as it aired in Japan)
I AM HAVING SHRIEKING ATTACKS OF FEELS. ESPECIALLY AT HOMURA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH also Sayaka also MAMI (I am on episode four) and just
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH
and as I type SAYAKA NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO *flails*
TOOK MY MUSIC THEORY EXAM~ I don't think it went... too badly? Hopefully? ANYWAY no more revision!
Also... today is Protecting You's seventh birthday.
Which. ...Yeah.
hit nano wordcount for the day already - now I'm into catch-up words. >D LET'S BE MEAN TO CLEF ALL DAY, as it's otherwise known~
And I'm wearing a selection of things which, though they aren't exactly a cosplay-casually outfit, were all bought because I had Umi in my head when I bought them. XD (Which means I'm in a dress, rare though this is~) heh

Pics, or it didn't happen.
Today my day was made by a twenty-minute hooping session (which is really good for me; I've been having thyroid issues the past seven months that have caused my energy levels to crash, but I've been getting better, so twenty minutes of exercise is like, amazing right now) during which I finally fixed the weird little thing I was doing wrong in my left-handed rising sun behind-the-back pass. Aw yeah. Also worked on single-hoop weaves with my left hand for the first time and it wasn't a complete disaster (I'm right-handed, so doing tricks and isolations with my left hand involves a much steeper learning curve). Yay!

Seconded!
Her party is sometime this month but the cake isn't made yet. I WILL post pics, trust me... but she has the bragging rights.
A coworker asked if I've lost weight!
(I said, "I hope so.")
I haven't seen her in a week or so, and we don't talk too often. To someone who sees me regularly, you'd never notice. :P
I've been trying to lose some, as after I got married three years ago, between the pill and inactivity I put on like 25 pounds and have been at the heaviest I've ever been. Not enough to be called fat, but I consider myself a bit chubby. And I miss my old body and my old clothes. Unfortunately exercising hasn't been working out for me -- since the spring, if I try to work out even lightly it brings on abdominal pain (that I really should have looked at because it might be a hernia or ulcer, but it goes away after a few weeks and I know if I go in when it's not flaring up they won't find anything because UGH THAT ALWAYS HAPPENS) so I'm just trying to watch what I eat. Better overall, and less, especially at night.
And it seems to be paying off. I can get my belt loop one or two notches tighter than the beginning of the year and apparently at least one person noticed it in my face. My face is where I want to lose it the most. ;__;
Anyway, it made my day. Thanks for letting me ramble on.

Story of my life. Hoping the activity required of the new job will help me shake mine back off. None of my old costumes fit, which makes me so sad. My goal is to tone up enough that I feel comfortable attempting a Tatra costume for halloween next year. We'll see what happens
----
What made my day today? A cup of tea and a sit down. I am not sure how much of this job I am going to be able to take. We are only into week two....

I used to be pretty obsessed with running until I started getting sharp abdominal pains (wasn't breathing properly/got very out of shape after I quit cross country). But have you tried any form of yoga? I did hot yoga and ashtanga over the summer (min of 5 times a week, 1-1.5hr sessions) and lost around 15lbs. The process is relatively slower than aerobic exercises, if compared by calories burned per hour, but it's so much more relaxing and easier to commit to. ALSO, works out your full body so you get that nice toned look.
You should definitely try it out! (and maybe get the abdominal pain checked out just in case)
What made my day? My iPod works. Even after I managed to drop it in the bathtub.... I put it in uncooked rice for 48 hours and it works just fine! ^^ (Only the camera doesn't work, that's a huge bummer but I can work around it)
Also, on a completely different topic, I changed my username. (I used to be WaterDragonsWing to those who don't know me..) I feel like my new name is sore suiting. You can call me ID for short! ^^
SLEEEEEEP
all eleven and a half hours of it, yay. ^^
also yesterday I finished drafting a thing which is always yay even if it is a ridiculous smut thing. XD Now hopefully I'll stop avoiding chapter 23 because of no brain too, because SLEEP. :D

MAKING IT made my day. I keep giggling at the silliness. Considering all the crap Down and I keep discussing on Gchat. I thought we needed a board like that in the forum. I'm sure others would be just as amused by the idea of Clef as a sub and so forth....
I love that it made Down change her user pic, even though I thought the posts with little!Clef looking decidedly unimpressed was hilarious....
I have a NEW PRINTER..... Just printed 11 pages in less than 20 seconds. I'M IN LOVE!!!
*wanders off to print the first few scenes of DD to get them fluffed out like they should be*
PLOT COMING TOGETHER
also pride and prejudice XD
aaaaaaaaaaand now I am going to bed. ^^
I've lost half a stone!! This is the first time I've been under 200 pounds in over a year! I do think it has to do with the fact I don't sit still all day anymore I would I would love to lose the same amount over the course of the next month or so.
PANAMA CITY, PANAMA FOR NEW YEARS. Flight + hotels booked. SO freaking excited.
Also! That's a lot! Congrats Mils :D Keep up the good work! (had to look up what a stone was in pounds hahaha)
So many posts on the boards over the past half week or so! XD

OOPS this is coming a bit late but thanks Down! :'D
LAST DAY OF UNDERGRAD TODAY. Or rather, after I hand in this ridiculously boring paper on leveraged SS tranches (CDOs) I WILL BE DONE...er and then finals. WHOO.
ps. I am on here cause I can't resist procrastinating and the deadline is yunno only...7 hours away :'D

I have barely no internet, but it let me come on and see that, so that's made my day too!
This is, uh, yeah. Best explained through photographic evidence. ......so, uh, link to tumblr?
heh, an actual picture of me on the internet! (http://dragonofwinternights.tumblr.com/post/37945814215/not-that-ive-been-doing-unwise-things)
(now how the oiahsdosahg do I make his damn circlet-thing? XD)
(I am going to buy one which is the pretty lavender-purple of a lot of the manga art one day, this is the Cheap Test Run, but kekekekekekekekeke I AM AMUSED)
(...I really need to finish that damn coat one day. XD needs wiring down the coattails to hold them out, and some further decoration with the ribbon - I have the ribbon, I've just never got around to it.........)

I DID IT AGAIN WHOOPS (http://dragonofwinternights.tumblr.com/post/38492229106/so-i-cant-take-photos-of-this-without-beaming)
Actually I ordered this before the Clef one... and I'm blaming it on Mils, who was online and encouraging me at the time...
(yes, I still have bits of my school uniform at 26. ...yes, I a) wore a boy's shirt fairly frequently to school and b) I still wear it to work on occasion. I do have some fitted shirts! but they are all in the wash, and Umi's isn't really fitted anyway~) (My middle school tie was red with silver stripes. I can't find it. This is now bugging me. Um.)

Heeeeeee. :D FUN.
I got a Kindle Paperlight. PORTABLE FANFIC WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE >DDDDD
also TWO RAYEARTH FICS :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD here's the Yuletide Rayearth section for the year (http://archiveofourown.org/collections/yuletide2012/tags/Magic%20Knight%20Rayearth/works). One Geo/Eagle and one Umi-writes-Rayearth AU and I AM HUGGING BOTH OF THEM. :DDD
I got a bunch of back to school clothes... But they are nice. Too big though.
I also got two noodle bowls and reusable chopsticks. My mom knows me too well.
My mom told me that there's something still on the way in the mail from me and I'm pretty sure I know what it is. It's a necklace, but it's from a character in Degrassi <3 More novelty than anything but I love it.
I GOT A RAYEARTH FIC FOR MADNESS TOOOOOOO a little awesome thing
Umi, between the seasons, and I love it - IT IS PRECIOUS TO ME :DDD
Some Unholy War (http://archiveofourown.org/works/609913)
I slept pretty much the clock round, last night. And now I am sat wearing a Clef-ish wig and poking Protecting You. XD
And I am ON HOLIDAY~ until the 3rd. HOLIDAY IS GOOD :DDDDDDDDD I am beginning to even appreciate it, after the chaos of christmas-present-making and finishing-yuletide-fic-which-tried-to-kill-me-but-seems-to-have-been-worth-it :D
I got a new iTouch! <3 It's got a way better camera, a prettier display, and much more! EEEEP!!! <3
I'm happy to have a new one since my old one had an accident with the bathtub and.... heh. The back camera doesn't work.
Also, I'm almost done with my online Spanish course which means more time for other things! It also means I don't feel guilty when I'm writing because I COULD be being productive.
Next on the list of things to get:
1 Terrabyte of storage on an external hard drive. My computer is SO near its limit.
An External keyboard to typety type type. the P and some other key on my laptop keyboard stick. (Anyone know solutions to that?)
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I spent the day with my brother and his girlfriend, raiding the shops in the city with our christmas vouchers/monies. ........There may be books. XD Also another pair of AWESOME boots - technically these were part of my christmas present from my parents, they gave me a check so I could go buy them and get the right size. XDD
(Tomorrow will be chaos, it's my grandmother's 80th birthday and we're catering and entertaining more than 50 people for it (which is admittedly lower than the first estimates!) so if you never see me again, either the party ate me, or the internet has been stolen in punishment for my cracking half way through and hijacking the sound system to play kpop............ ^^;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; But I plan to wear my AWESOME BOOTS because purple biker-style doc martens are party wear, right? ......okay I might just wear them for the tidying up XD)
HAPPY BELATED NEW YEAR from Panama!
I haven't been on here in a while ;___; I apologize! With graduation + moving out of the country + getting ready to travel + dealing with my asshole landlord (which I'm still dealing with) I've had 0 time to do anything enjoyable like sit down and read/write/chat with you guys :( :( I HOPE YOU GUYS HAD AN AWESOME NEW YEAR THOUGH :D
Have fun at your party Down! I expect pictures of the new boots *___* bought new flats from zara yesterday myself (so cheap here)
This has been on tumblr, but, well, it's half way between making my week and bewildering me to the point of not knowing what a week IS, so - I figure it's worthy of mention here anyway, but my boss is suggesting that I take on the role of one of the other people in our team for six months. I'm having to apply and all, it might not even go through, but if it does it would be full time and four grades higher than my current role. (ie pay almost twice as much. That would be a nice bonus!) I'm not even expecting to get it, but that my boss and dept head think I could do that........ it's thrown me, somewhat. I'm not even officially permanent until next week! (...which they had forgotten XD)
Also now I have to do a job application and I thought I was done with them, and in the off chance I get it I might need to get another professional qualification which, uh, that would be interesting heh, and - I AM FLATTENED BY THIS but hey MY BOSS ISN'T FAKING HE THINKS I'M AN ASSET, I FEEL HAPPY :D
............."All shall love me and despair!" is a perfectly valid personal statement, right? Um. Oh dear........
I got a violin!! I?ve been wanting one again lately. It?s been years since I played. I got a new fancy tuner that tells me what notes I am playing, so I have been able to put the training tape on, so I can find the right notes when prarctising. I?m terribly excited.
Home alone tomorrow, so I should be able to spend a good hour or more playing. I printed out some LOTR and Hobbit music someone arranged for Violin, because It?s more fun to practise something randomly awesome.

!! AWESOME :DDDDDDDDDDD YAY VIOLIN! And ooh, yes, electric tunerthings are fun, I steal my brother's one sometimes (for the guitar, but the mic can tell if I'm fluting sharp or flat just as well XD)
(If I DO end up with a higher wage/fulltime for six months, I am GOING to put aside money for a cello and lessons.) (.......oh curse it, gaaaaaah, if I DO go full time I will be TAKING GRADE FIVE FLUTE IN THE MIDDLE aaaaaaaaaaaah why so badly timed)
Things which made my day: well, technically it WAS today, so, CLEF UNSTICKING JUST A LITTLE and letting me have a LITTLE MORE of the RIGHT version of the first scene in the next chapter, even if he DID ambush me at 1am on a work night (I am now so very sleeeeeeeepy)
..........Cousin talking me into cosplaying Cravat!Punk Umi (except I don't have a sword or a truncheon.....) (also I have glasses but SHHHHHHH) (and my school tie will probably STILL be being my hairband ^^;;;;;;;; ) for her 30th birthday party (which is fancy dress XD)
because yes my wardrobe can manage that and there is proof in bad photo form on tumblr~ (http://dragonofwinternights.tumblr.com/post/42133366042/all-glory-in-the-fancy-background-which-is-my)
(cravat!punk is an au which I am sloooooooooooowly drawing/writing which is a post-tsubasa story which is also an AU rayearth story because I have two sets of insane mages and the grumpy swordspeople who love them which are my favourites and wanted to combine them? XD but essentially victoriana-design cyberpunk or something. IDK. Not so much of the cyber with Umi, that's what Clef's for~)
I got an appointment to see a rheumatologist!!! You have no idea how happy I am about this. I can hardly believe how happy I was to get the new patient forms with the post. I?m positively giddy. Perhaps I can find out something to help make this better.
I?m not asking for miracles. I just want answers and to know treatment options. It would also be nice to not have to think about how I should be holding my wrists when I pick something up.
I went swimming today for the first time in a while (at my doctor's suggestion) and feel both tired and energized... Not sure how that happened.
I SURVIVED THE FIRST WEEK AT MY NEW ROLE just kinda maybe sorta (though SPIRITS but Tuesday is going to be INSANEEEEEEE and I have so much stuff I didn't get to at all and too much stuff to do Tuesday ANYWAY and then ON TOP OF THAT I have a stand to get up for Wednesday and lose half the day to the whole team meeting (though HEH I do not have to minute it kekekekekekeke) AND I still haven't mailed out the things people have been asking for for the past week and a half WHICH IS SO FAILING CUSTOMER SERVICE but at least ~main bit of job~ and ~secondary bit of job~ got done and- no thinking about it for three days, self. YOU CAN DO NO MORE.)
(NO ONE IS HAND-HOLDING ME I AM JUST MEANT TO GET ON WITH IT. THIS IS RATHER MORE TRUST THAN I THINK I REALLY NEEDED STRAIGHT AWAY WHEN I CAN'T ACTUALLY REMEMBER EVERYTHING I HAVE TO DO. AAAAAAH)
........but I SURVIVED. I SURVIVED! And now I am going to give in to the unresponsiveness of the internet and go away and probably to bed. It's nearly half nine! This is later than I thought I was going to manage to be awake tonight!
YAY FOR SWIMMING and hopefully good endorphin-tired mix? ^^
(I was jiving in the printer room waiting for it to finish my printing today. ...I got a few odd looks from the corridor. XD But I needed to try to wake up! Jive is easier to contain in a small space than most other dances I know~ XDDD)
My first Graze.com (http://graze.com) box came today!!!
Basically for $5 a box, they send you four delicious healthy snacks. (I get mine once per week, but you can get it less often too!) You can go through the site and rate ones you don't want, or definitely want, or you'll try.
It is currently invite-only and I've given away the ones I had ALREADY. But keep a head's up because they hope to be bigger soon. Or ask around if any friends have codes left. (check some related tags on Tumblr, lots of folks give out their codes there!)
ALSO we just signed the lease for our townhouse that we'll move into in July! SO EXCITED. It's been a... process, because (as two of C's coworkers that live there have told us) the leasing folks are kind of incompetent. But it's signed and he'll take it over tomorrow with questions and AaAAaaaaa
My garage door is possessed. It won?t open when I want it to, and opens when I don?t want it to. I had to break into the back window of the garage so the repair guy and I could look at it. Guess who gets a new garage door opener? *groan* Always something. Oh well... I think I might just take the day off work, since I already called in, and go run the errands I meant to run earlier. Like get this stash of cheques to the bank, since I keep failing at doing that.
I also got a Graze box today (though this is my third one). Nom nom nom. Blackcurrants are really, really tart.
Also, I managed to do a full 20 minutes of pilates tonight. (I like Blogilates - Cassey's high energy is just peppy enough to keep me going but not so peppy as to become grating. Plus the workouts are great.) Considering that a month ago I could barely do five minutes, this is a pretty big deal for me. Aw yeah.
New garage door opener installed today. Whoo! Happy day! I can park my car inside in safety (from hail). I was hopping to try swimming again today, but it doesn?t look like it is going to happen, as they will likely be done close to the time I have to go and the cats need food, and I need to run some errands. Perhaps I can ride my bicycle for a bit this evening, as it is lovely outside.
The cat didn't carry on all morning while we were trying to sleep! He gets antsy and wants us up by a certain time but I was able to sleep in far too late. Maybe he knows it's Sunday...
Probably should've posted this yesterday but
THE COUNCIL CHAT! It was a good one yesterday. I ended up in there, more or less, from 3:30pm til midnight. Oops. It was great though, because I was so bored yesterday, didn't feel like doing any of my chores. Thanks for keeping my priorities straight, guys.
Okay, it was actually a couple days ago... But! A couple friends and I have been looking for an apartment for a couple months now, and we just found out that we're actually going to get to rent A HOUSE that's FABULOUS for about the same per month as the apartment we were looking at would've been.
And we move in JUUUUUNE and I get to finally get out of my parents' house and I can start doing auditions and ugughghghghghgh I'M SO EXCITED.
Two words: caffeine sleep.
I was up late last night because of course I was (later than usual because I'm off today whoo) but I had to get up at 6:30ish to make sure C. got up, since he has to do license bureau stuff this morning before work. There's one energy drink that I like and that really works for me, and I had half the can right before I went to bed at like 3:45... Woke up at 6:30 with almost no problems and now it's 8:00 and I'm wide awake with nothing to do! Probably gonna crash around 11:00 this morning whoop but maybe I can get some writing done before then? Gosh, I'm actually a bit hyper.
I've only done caffeine naps in the past. Drink your caffeine of choice, nap for a half hour, and boom, wake up ready to go since it does the work after you fall asleep. Best thing. However trying a caffeine nap when I crash in a while is probably ill-advised...
Again, should have posted a couple days ago - but I got to see A. the house I'm moving into in June (IT'S ADORABLE AND I LOVE IT FLAIL FLAIL MY BEDROOM IS PERFECT) and B. the cats my housemats are adopting (THEY ARE PERFECT I LOVE THEM).
Today it's finally warm, spring-like weather and I'm wearing a skirt and I ate some chocolate-covered honeycomb so really, could this day get any better? I think not.
Yay for new places, Jam!
What made my day today? NEW MEMBER!!! That is always exciting. We need to figure out a way to explode confetti and make things more exciting for new joining members who POST!! OMG! Posting the day one joins? That?s always an exciting shock!
Best thing about the day, which is easy, since today included breaking into my garage again because of a power outage, a killer migraine, and a lack of WORDS....
I apparently have ignited my tea addiction again. I don?t realise how badly off I am until I don?t drink my pot a day and am left with a terrible headache. Stupid caffeine withdrawal. I need to be better about either weaning myself off it again, or at least drinking my maintenance cup/pot a day.
Triple post alert!
But I wanted to announce what has truly made my day today. I made it through an entire day--first weekday in months--without any real pain. I took no medication. I was practically pain free all day. It was glorious. (short lived as my leg is trying make up with it with stabbing pain in my thigh, but who cares. It?s tomorrow now.)
Now back to your regularly scheduled fandom flailing.
Mils, that's awesome! Here's to more pain-free days!
As for me, I had coffee today, which I haven't in some time. And it was good. I make darn good coffee.
Yay, Mils that's awesome! :DDDDDDDD
This was yesterday, but I successfully wrangled people into doing everything I needed them to at work for us to go back to normal as scheduled on Monday! (ignoring the potential problem one of the team raised at half five friday. That was an oversight before I was in the job, not my fault, so I'm STILL COUNTING THE VICTORY)
This old cartoon (series of shorts) from the 1996 Tamagotchi line (http://froth.tumblr.com/post/49368995720/). I keep watching it and it keeps making me grin. There's a running anime in Japan for the current line, but the Tamas are kind of designed to be good cartoon characters instead of being good sprites in the game now, so they all look boring and the same. D: This old cartoon is SO FREAKING CUTE THOUGH. I can't get over Nyorotchi's voice!

My friend had extra copies of the original MKR manga (from a swap or something?) and sent them to me. I insisted he let me pay for shipping but I'M REALLY EXCITED. I can't read Japanese save for a few things here and there, but IT'S SO PRETTY and the covers feel so neat, they're dust jackets over the paperback cover and are slightly textured. It has the Bonus Stage omake in the back and everything.
I know it's not off-topic, but it made my day and I can't justify making a whole new thread about it XD
I HAVE THOSE ONES :D (Mils is threatening to take them away with her NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO)
THEY ARE SO PRETTY :D the images under the dust covers are GORGEOUS, and the inside covers too~

I also realise that neither Down nor I posted when we were together.... Oh dear. Looks like we were too excited to do much of anything in fandom....

Well, we did brainstorm various things~
But yep. Mostly giggling! IT WAS AWESOME. As was meeting Camisado (I STILL WANT TO CALL YOU HYPERLINK) and Rev~
Recently: new job! Again. This is totally what I get for saying in chapter that the next one would be soon because my brain wasn't going to be eaten by a new job, isn't it. Ooooooops... But I like it better than the last three months so far so YAY.
TALKING TO MY INTERNET-WIFE.
I?M ALIVE!!
No, seriously. Mile wide tornados heading your way are a bit unnerving. Even when they veer south and miss you, you definitely need a stiff drink afterward.
Perhaps a few, before it?s all better again.
Damn Tornados. Why is the weather off by a month? It?s late for tornados.

Wow, they are exactly like the copies I have in Hong Kong when it first came out. I might have mentioned that I never bought the volumes when it was still popular around 1995-1996, but managed to track them down in a second hand dealer last year (sadly these dealers are closing down one by one due to the ridiculous property prices that push small individidual businesses out of business).
I don't have to work on Saturday! That means I'll have a three day weekend since we're closed Sundays and I R/O'd Monday to play Animal Crossing New Leaf for my birthday. My manager's over on hours this month (lots of resets and whatnot lately) so he's cutting wherever he can. I almost didn't get cut since I'm a CSM and get codes for cashiers so the managers on duty don't have to (it makes their job easier) but in the end he decided it was worth it XD (it's only a four-hour shift, so I'm not losing much on my paycheck and tbh the little vacation at such a perfect time is worth it to me)
I am spamming the forums because I am FIVE POSTS from being Guru on here~ CHATTING WITH MILS about nothing, for hours, it's awesome. XD

IT'S THE WEEKEND FINALLY *clings to freeeeeeeedoooooooooooooooom*
IN WALES! In a cottage, and from the sitting room I can see the sea, it's not far to Snowdonia - and we came though Snake Pass across the pennines to get here and I remembered how much I just want to live in the middle of the pennines. So prettyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy~
(And......................... I'm probably about to go to bed at 9pm because SO TIRED ahahhahahaa oops.) (Also? Looks like we've found another place I'm allergic to the water ^^;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;)
BUT I AM ON HOLIDAY YAY THERE ARE MOUNTAINS AND THE SEA AND I DON'T HAVE TO GET UP TOMORROW MORNING :DDDDDDDDDDD
I?m creating drama on Tumblr. It?s amusing me.
The argument is over the tornado scene in Man of Steel. How inaccurate it is in so many ways. Apparently the person whose lower half of their city gets wiped out by and EF5 every decade doesn?t know shit. Even though EVERYONE around here says not to take shelter under an overpass. Because it is even more dangerous.
But I think the worst part was how inaccurate the storm was.
Oh well. The people telling me I am wrong is making me laugh.
You're creating drama and I can't read it, alas. XD
Days here: 1! Castles visited: 1!
Also, thought I'd lost my USB stick this morning (aka 24) BUT I FOUND IT AGAIN and. There are some more words. Yay~
Miso soup..... because I may not be able to have chocolate, but salt is second best!!!
PACIFIC RIM
(though, er, ridiculous AU apparently inescapably being written now) (Rayearth doesn't HAVE a true!mecha!genre au that I know of??? WELL. UNTIL NOW.) (SAVE MEEEEEEEEEE)
I finally finished all of my summer math work! XD! Which means I don't have to do any more math, until school starts back up in September! ;D
Yay, Trin! That?s exciting.
And for me it was things..... that made me giggle.... and now I am seriously contemplating them, though no official agreement has been made. (It could bring chaos to the board)

I'm actually sitting at Quakecon in Dallas right now. It sucks though cause a lot of my friends weren't able to go due to some mishaps.

Well, it typically is, but I do believe there would be much flailing if such an agreement is to be made, don?t you, Darling?
Nothing special, but I had a good day at work and didn't feel too sick. I've been run-down lately with the move and more, so it was nice to have some energy and feel like I actually got a lot done during my shift.
If you haven't been keeping up with the Sega Saturn Magic Knight Rayearth thread, I intend to do a playthrough. Well, I thought I was going to have to spend some money to buy a composite/component adapter and some component cables in order to hook my Saturn up to a capture card. As it turns out, I can hook the composite cables up to the card and it captures the video and audio just fine.
I'll do a test recording in a few days to see how it turns out. All that said, I'll probably need to decide if I want to do commentary or not.

Star Wars soundtrack for $2.40 which still had it?s original poster in. I missed mine. It was stolen along with most of my other CDs years ago.... I still miss it.
But a new shiny LP set! YAY!
My record player will be buzzing for the next few days, I?m sure.
I GOT THE INTERNET BACK
after a looooooong evening
ah well, I still have about 10 episodes (more maybe?) of Queen SeonDeok to watch so I wasn't bereft of entertainment~
Finally acheived my dream of becoming a certified arborist on 30 September 2013. I haven't logged in for ages!
I was told yesterday there would be a chance for a promotion, as my big boss has another contract elsewhere that is desperate for a certified arborist.
So fingers crossed, however, I will miss my current workplace.
My certificate as Certified Arborist finally arrived from America!

but HAPPY HOLIDAYS/SEASON'S GREETINGS to people~ and my day has totally been made by the game of co-writing a thing with my lovely girlfriend, even if I am wordy as oaegheirghdrogihag and apparently felt the need to ponder personal assistants in Cephiro for several hundred words, whoops~

My new computer arrived on Thursday and I just finished the most basic setup with it.
I just discovered that my car is a Toyota Corolla Celes. That is, the model that Selece was named after.
Just came home to find a very large parcel of chocolate at my house. I have the best girlfriend.
I should have made this post on 17 June, Tuesday, it was the day when I got in touch with a long lost friend.
I lost touch with my friend Elsie who I was very close to when I was at school, I last spoke to her in 2009. I had been through some very depressing times and did not get in touch with this friend but she did not contact me either.
I tried to find Elsie recently through email, her email went defunct, and I tried emailing her younger sister too, but got no response, I thought all hope was lost and was contemplating to mention this on facebook hoping there would be other school friends who know her whereabouts.
Then I find Elsie's mobile number in an old diary, I added this number to my contact and sent a whatsapp to this number to ask if the owner of this mobile number is Elsie ( there is no profile photo so I could not tell) and it she was still using this number and she was so pleased I found her again!
I might've forgotten that this thread existed...
Actually YESTERDAY, not today, I got a pony that I wanted to get when she came out 10 years ago, when I first started collecting, but I just missed getting her in stores.. then she was going for more than I was willing to pay for her. Finally snagged her for $4.00!
Autumn Skye is the one in question, on the left. I got Fair Weather, right, since she was also cheap from the same seller. I never liked her before (I don't really like blue/purple together) but I keep seeing her around lately and she's grown on me, so!

(And Suz, you have one of the highest posts on the board, probably higher than my actual post count because this one is totally a lie so I can have my own rank.)
it doesn't feel like I've posted as much as I have. Down would win if it was by wordcount, though.
as for good things today: the Moon Animate Make-up (http://moonanimate.tumblr.com/post/92377477335/enjoy-edit-missing-credits-chloe-buse) video finally posted!
basically they had over 200 animators all do a few seconds from an episode of Sailor Moon, using the dub since that'd be easier to animate to, and put it all together and made one full episode. it's really a wild ride between the constant changing of really different styles and the trainwreck of a dub that DiC did.
EA released the Sims 2 with all the expansion packs... for free download O3O;; I'm gonna make me some Rayearth Sims tonight, I think. I haven't played the Sims in, umm, well over a year. and I've only ever played 3. so I'll probably go to sleep at 6am. :x

i just dont have sims2 garden life expansion pack,i may download it now

Still! Better than nothing, and I can't wait to binge all weekend
I have a new iPod!!!
My iPhone is dying, and I use the apps on it often enough. Usually functional ones, so I get upset when each of them in turn has stopped being able to update and stops working right because my iPhone is so damn old it won't run the new iOS. But since I don't think I want to shell out three times the price for the unlocked iPhone 5, I thought the new touch would be nice.
So... I need to decide what apps I want to put on it now....
(My email listed above is my new imessage account for it, if anyone cares.)
I didn't really do any unpacking so to speak
but I did take a few mostly-empty boxes downstairs (they were filled with the packing paper). these are huge boxes too. so now there's only one in the kitchen instead of five. mostly full of packing paper but some just needed the contents shifted around so now there's just the one box. ugh I'm so happy. still a ton of unpacking to go and we've been here a month :p but at least the kitchen's nice and open now!

BLESS MOTHER NATURE, SOFT COSY HOODIE SEASON IS BACK.
I handed in my last assignment for this university module! I just have to revise for my exam in a month now. And start two more modules before then. But the end is in sight for this one, haha.
This morning, I got the official email stating my application has been received. 3-5 weeks until I know if I'm really able to make this insane move.
(Totally not freaking out. Nope.)
Finally bought a desk!
Just need to find my sewing machine, um...
got noodles and boba delivered yesss
though they upped the delivery fee by a little over a dollar so I will have to use more restraint when I'm craving boba at 9pm.
I have DOWN!!!!
She's very jetlagged, but she arrived here safely!
my classmates liked my haircut,i was deeply depressed because it was too short for my taste..but i felt happy somehow.
Came home to find I had no hot water because the boiler had died, so I rang my landlord, an hour later my boiler is up and running again. How efficient!
And if that wasn't enough, my gas cooker is finally installed! Oh happy day!
A DECISION WAS MADE ON THE VISA APPLICATION!!!!!!!!!!
Hoping for a YES! Hoping ever so much. I miss my Down already, and she's not left the state yet.
The next chapter of Let the Games Begin came out.
Survived the flights home.......?
Finished making my first sims music video, and it turned out better than I expected. Now that I figured out the basics of making a music video,I could make more :)
Actually went to a NaNoWriMo meet up rather than chickening out! Yeah!
I GOT MY VISA!!!!!!! ☆*:.。. o(≧▽≦)o .。.:*☆
(This means I am legally allowed to move to England, marry Down, and stay with her!)

applied for a credit card through our bank but had to have my husband co-sign since I don't have any history of revolving debt. we've just happened to get our couple credit cards in his name, and I've never had one and it really is a good idea to. so no big deal, will use it to buy a pony or something once a month, then pay it off every month.
the sweet part is that when they checked my credit, it's fantastic. like, really really good. because I haven't missed a student loan payment in five and a half years. so even though I don't have a history of revolving credit so I need a co-signer, MY CREDIT SCORE IS AMAZING.
Found my eReader! 😀

Casually driving 'round town when suddenly a wild Camisado appears!

(I mean, it was more like yesterday but, whatever)
classes ended before than I expected and I had a great amount of time off ! :)
The cats made it to the UK and have safely arrived at the cattery.
The report Down gave me from the cattery: "Neville is making friends; Severus is hiding under a blanket; and Mjolnir is being loud."
Honestly, the most accurate description of all three cats.

omg. having met your cats this has me laughing out loud. I'm glad they have each other though, I'm sure that makes it a LOT less scary for them.

if anyone wants the Lantis and Mokona ones, they're $5 separate or $8 together, prices incl shipping within the US, it'd probably be like $2 shipping for overseas, I just wanna unload them and I bought the whole set. so! just PM me. taken! thanks :D)

yay, I'm glad they got to you safely!
as for me today, I'm glad that I feel better than yesterday. I had a nasty bug so I stayed in bed all day (usually when I'm sick I at least camp out on the couch, but nope, extra sickface) today the fever/chills/aches are gone and I just have a stuffy nose. which... is like the worst and I'd kind of rather have the aches and chills, I hate it that much. BUT at least I got myself out of bed by 3pm... and there's soup in the slow cooker *u*
Aaa, that really sucks, Suzanami..... I hope you feel better really soon!
My up for today, is that I finally get to skype with my girlfriend after several weeks of us both being too busy or too tired to do so!
Saw CHVRCHES live! It was great!!
Much like buses, I didn't go to any gigs for a long time, I've now got three in five months!
I went to CHVRCHES last night.
Camisado and I have Placebo in March
And now I'm seeing The Decemberists in February! Which I am super excited about because their album The Hazards of Love is one of my favourite albums (it's a folky concept album with a story! It's great!).
Then I realised it was on the same day as my sister's 21st birthday. Whoops.
Just got accepted into my first and possibly my first choice college!! So excited!! :)

My pack of the Crusade cards arrived today. They look great.
My copy of CLAMP in Context: A Critical Study of the Manga and Anime arrived yesterday evening.
I should be getting my stuff tomorrow!!!! Whooo!! I've not seen it in MONTHS now! (will just have some trouble finding places for all the books.....)
not gonna make a whole new thread for it but
~ HAPPY 2015! ~
I have a new shiny laptop. I was hoping I would't have to get one yet, but..... I might have killed my other one trying to get it updated...
Oh well. New Macbook air should do me well for a while. Plus, I don't have to use an adaptor plug to plug it in.
I began translating an article in Duolingo, translated about 20 sentences so far and still want to translate more.I'm getting crazy.
started using my journal again (like physical notebooks) for the first time in almost a year. two+ years ago I wrote multiple times a week but I just got out of the habit about a year ago :\ nothing fancy, just word vomit / brain dump stream-of-thought rambling, but dang I forgot how cathartic it is to write your thoughts til your hand cramps.
Yeaaah! I also pulled out my journal again, it had only gone unused for about 4 months, it's not so bad.
I don't have to shovel snow today aww yeah. had to shovel at 9am and 3pm on Monday, then again in the morning Tuesday. still lots of snowcover that's gorgeous, and it's not bitterly freezing outside, and I love winter~ so I don't mind being out in it... but dang I'm no spring chicken anymore and my back is killing me now :p
Today is my first day out of bed and doing things since I was diagnosed with the flu on the 22nd and spent three days in the hospital because of it,
oh my gosh, Somariel, that sounds awful. I'm glad you're finally feeling better!
Ugh, that sucks, hope you're better now!
Damn! What is it with people in the hospital?! Having two members in the hospital in the past month, is not a good thing. It's a very high percentage for this forum. No more of that. Everyone be healthy and happy!!!
Down and I got our first wedding gift int he form of a cheque. She's trying to convince me that we need the Rayearth Blu-Rays.
.........But Rayearth dvds would be a HIGHLY APPROPRIATE wedding gift for ourselves!
Or we could buy food with it whatever XP

got two pieces of mail today, both from strangers via SendSomething.net! (it's LetterMo this month, where you try to send mail for every mailday in the month, I'm already woefully behind) one is a postcard from California, the other is a lovely letter from Sweden!
It's snowing here today. A very pretty snowfall.
I'm a Palu now! Guess that means I have to stop posting. Alas, it was fun while it lasted! ;D
Just kidding, of course. Still having too much fun flailing about like a chicken with their head cut off about Ascot. Hopefully I'm an entertaining chicken with my head cut off.
Stumbled upon a nice cupcake recipe, and I gave it a try.It was my first attempt to bake on my own,It turned out nice-actually sweet for my taste, but edible anyway ^^
new ep of Gravity Falls aired tonight wooo!
Well, first of all I didn't have school today because of snow. Secondly, IT'S MY BIRTHDAY AND I'M LEGAL!

happy birthday, Trin!! ☆
congrats on being legal haha (I've been ~legal~ for over ten years and you know, whenever I come to a website that requires you to enter your birthday to "prove" you're 18, I still go to put in an earlier birth year?? just like when I was 16 haha)
Thanks, Suz~

The really annoying thing about this hospitalization is that I had the flu in late January, starting with three days in the hospital because of it, and this new hospitalization happened barely more than a week after my recovery from that had reached the point where I could resume almost all of my normal weekly activities. This has been my worst winter since the winter that my chronic lung disease started, and that was ten years ago.
Shit, son. Flu with a chronic lung illness must be hell! And I'm glad you're out of hospital!

It really is. I had to be on 2 liters per hour of continuous flow supplemental oxygen 24 hours a day for nearly two weeks because of it. Normally, I just need 1 liter per hour continuous flow at night.
Practically painlessly got out of bed today. Incredible! This hasn't happened for a long time and usually involves a lot of crying and getting upto the edge and refusing to move whilst the nurse sighs heavily.
Now to work out the getting back in bit. Hm.
Despite being in hospital forever, Rev scoured the internet for, purchased, and orchestrated the postage of my birthday present, which arrived on Tuesday. \o/
Some of you have already seen it, but here it is, all of my childhood dreams coming true: imgur gallery (http://imgur.com/a/b1eIk)
(Let's pretend that particular set hasn't only been out for a couple of years.)
Well! Yesterday, I got to escape the ward and go to my parents' house! I ate food, I drank a lot of tea in my favourite mug, I got to control the TV, my siblings waited on mend hand and foot and it was just really good! Just getting to see something other than these four walls is always good.
though I would not hire my parents as hospital porters, jfc. We borrow a wheelchair to get from the ward to the car, otherwise it's a bit of a trek. And they just have to ram me over every single bumpy bit. Owww.
I finally mustered up the motivation to walk to the post office to mail Camisado's package! ☆
it was almost 70?F (21?C), partly cloudy with a breeze that wasn't cold! first non-chilly breeze of the year! it's about a 15-20 minute walk through quiet residential streets and it was just soo nice. I stopped at the thrift store and bought shot glasses (my husband was complaining about only having one) and a 70s-style mug *u*
- pony mail! all three Baby Embers! ˖◛⁺⑅♡
- did personal drawing all day and adopted two cutie OCs to add to my roster! (✿◠v◠)
- 75?F and thunderstorming as I type this! (♥ω♥ ) ~♪
- homemade sushi later tonight! ヽ(*≧ω≦)ノ
I've finally decided to join the fandom! Yay!
Somariel and Revolutionaren, I hope you are well!
So, the past month has been terrible due to back pain. But today, I woke up and I can actually walk with relatively low pain! And I manage to write a bit, so my day is quite made~
So I'm at slightly more than four weeks post-surgery and I've actually been off the oxycodone since Monday, which means my appetite is finally coming back.

*throws wishes for health at the entire board NO ONE ELSE IS ALLOWED TO BE ILL. I AM BANNING ILLNESS. also, mornings. But mostly being unwell because it sucks D:*
got to see my sister (dinosaurjam) and our friend K. all weekend! took them around some fun places in Pittsburgh and spent some quality time (whatever that is) together! they got here Friday night and left Monday afternoon. exhausted now but miss them already <3
oH and my package from Mils and Down came!~~
I want to do at least three fanarts for each Knight's celebratory week in June so I wanted to get the sketches for Hikaru's done today. I got two of them completely finished and put in my artblog's drafts, and got the third inked! I also vacuumed and did a bit of yardwork today, so I feel all accomplished :>
I drove a car today!
Okay, I do have a US driver license, but this was my first time driving in the UK. Not only that, but my first time really driving a manual transmission. I must have done well enough, because he took me out on the dual carriage way, and through multiple busy roundabout to get there.
I only panic badly once, and think I did pretty well.
Should probably mention that after 108 days, I am out of hospital!
I am back home in the loving bosom of my family who are all running around after me, it is good times. Now to finish healing.
AWWW REV THAT'S GREAT! YOU HAVE MY HEALING WISHES
t h u n d e r s t o r m !
got a surprise early birthday package from my in-laws, they sent KitKats and cash :>
-also- got my last dream townie from someone on Tumblr, so pretty soon I'll have her in my Animal Crossing town and I'm so happeh
Awesome, Suz! Could never go wrong with chocolate and cash! :D
Well, today I spammed tumblr like I'll probably never do again, and that made me really happy. XD It's been a stressful week, and fanarting really helped.

left for Detroit Friday morning, went back to my friend's last night, and came back to PGH today to walk around and see stuff with friend and her daughter. and now I am home, wearing no pants, and can use my own shower and sleep in my own bed and actually be able to reblog properly XDD

I think I'm officially an aunt now? And that's pretty cool.
Congrats to Trin and Rev!!!!
found the log from an old AIM chat, one of the first Council Chats *wipes away single nostalgic tear* from the first half of 2006! I think it was even before Down was with us! anyway I laughed a lot reading it. I remember sitting at my desk under my lofted dorm bed for all these old AIM chats!

one of my tumblr friends is visiting her boyfriend and he has a box full of minty Animorphs books!!! (ノ≧∀≦)ノ I'm buying a bunch of them to fill in the gaps in my second collection (I have them all that I collected as they were coming out, but my sister and I might draw blood over them, so I've been slowly amassing a second collection over the years so we are both happy with our Animorphs hoards)

Happy 4th to my fellow USA'ers.
I got a job offer!!!
completeoveranalysis on Tumblr is doing their liveblog of TRC Chapter 38 right now, which means I can actually follow along with it for once.
My copies of the Rayearth 2 mangas just arrived from Japan today! WEEEEEEEEEEeee! They're so pretty! They're pristine like the day they were printed and they use such nice paper to print them on *weeps* I was a design major I appreciate fine paper. Now maybe I can eventually get the first season...and maybe the reprints with the new covers *cough* So much Eagle...*buries her face in manga pages*

Maybe you won't believe it, but I watched the same
thing four days ago! After I watched
Grave of the Fireflies - one of the most depressing movies I've ever seen... - I needed something to lift me up... And suddenly the (
second part of the) OAV came to mind! For the first time, I watched it in Japanese with English subtitles... Now I'm in love with Ferio's original voice <3
I think I love MKR more as time goes by. like I love it more today than I did a year ago. I think the only time I've loved it so much was in like 2001 at the height of my initial love affair with it. part of it is our community and how I can just say silly things about the characters and prompt feels and stuff out of others so that makes loving MKR so much FUN. anyway I'm just tipsy and a little embarrassed about how much I love MKR whoops <3
- someone finally came out and got the lockbox off the front door.
- finished a little practice AMV I've been working on for a few days, I think I'm pleased with it :0
- a friend sent me a bunch of manga she needed to get rid of (extra MKR1 omnibus, Eva: Angelic Days, and vol 5-12 of I"s) in exchange for an art commission
- another friend sent a big package full of snacks, stationery, and little crafts she'd made (including an Animal Crossing plush, Animal Crossing amigurumi, and little rubber stamps she carved, plus a pencil case she crocheted... just tons of thoughtful things) because she saw I'd been feeling down a lot lately ;u;
I finally got my computer back from the shop after having been without it entirely for nearly two full weeks.
Months after stupidly wiping my old mac because I'm an idiot who fails to back up before a software update, I not only managed to pull most of my missing music off my old ipod, but I organised my itunes library. All duplicates are removed and everything uploaded has album art! I am very pleased with this. No blank songs makes me so happy, because I'm a loser! WHEEEEEE!!!!
I finally started work on a doll's boots. Leather is so nice to work with! :)
I check blog and GooglePlay developer console.
Because, 2 days ago, My Indie-develop team release battery widget.
Also I'll check it for a while.
But, on the plus side...
Guess who's posting this from my WORKING LAPTOP!!!!
I got to see the Acro-cats (http://circuscats.com/) tonight and it was everything I ever dreamed of. they also play in a band with their chicken and groundhog friends. Tuna is the leader and she plays a mean cowbell.

WE HAVE HOME INTERNET AGAIN!!!!!!
After months of having no phone line in our new house, Down and I finally have a working internet connection! It is very exciting!
A day with creativity and inspiration.
After a long time procrastinating I finally managed to write something for the 40th episode of my story.
I finally got past my bit of writer's block on Ice and Snow and wrote two pages tonight. Yay! Maybe I will actually finish this damn thing before summer gets to my hemisphere!

Is that a Umi/Eagle fanfiction? I'd like to read it someday! (I have always shipped Umi/Ascot, but I think Umi/Eagle could work somehow... Maybe because he's "white" and she's "blue" so they could really match? I mean, she's like water and he's like ice. OK, I'm rambling now)
If you think you're crazy, I just want to let you know that I've been creating Fuu/Ferio fanfictions in my mind for years, but I never managed to write anything D:
Actually, what has made my whole week is the arriving of Hikaru's Eternal Master Piece sword. :D :D :D :D
Worth every cent.
I can't stop holding it in my hands. Is just perfect!!!
I made a video for the Facebook fanpage. You can watch it here:

i felt peaceful sometime around 5-6PM,i played sims.
then my sworn sissent me a message and suddenly all the peace is gone, but playing sims made my day.
I just felt the need to post something on this topic for a reason that i wanted to let my thoughts out of my mind LOL..
;D So i was like tired the whole 24hrs with no sleep (Yes no sleep, literally) I just had a graveyard shift attending 90 patients.. so how was that? I felt so exhausted but i still dropped by in this site which made me feel a less distress and seeing such notifications in my tumblr makes me feel a less exhausted. Then i just had this idea of making a music video which covers my OTP (Clef/Umi) but i don't know how to do such and im figuring it out until now.. and i just install a movie maker and i was like thinking how to use it LOL
Oh! I have bread! I can make french toast!! That is a happy thing!
Technically yesterday, but I got tickets to a Carrie Underwood Concert! It's making me actually look forward to the trip to the US more than anything. :)
I've got meds again!
i finlly switched to the old black layout.I am so happy.
I totally upgraded my net speed to the highest we can get in our area, it is GLORIOUS.
I met the pit bull across the street. his name is Bear! he slobbered all over my face and boobs and let me rub his tummy.
I think I've worked out what is missing in this chapter of my fic, so I might stand a chance of finishing it sometime soon-ish!
I slept til 11am! I usually get up at 6:30-8:00 for work and even on my days off I still am wide-awake at that time (this day was always foretold by The Elders and it's finally come) but I've been so busy the last few days that I just couldn't pull myself out of bed. actually I stayed in bed til almost 12:30... it was so nice haha
I got to sleep in! This was the first Wednesday in months I have been able to sleep past 7 and I feel so much more awake this evening!
Also brownies! I made some and they were fantastic!

SNUGGLES
I made cookies! I keep trying to experiment to get something like the Little Debbies gingerbread men. I should just give up and try to make graham crackers or something, but these ended up being pretty tasty today. I'm glad I made them even though they still aren't what I like.
Also! Moana Reo Moari! It will be glorious and I am totally getting it on DVD when it comes out. I don't even fucking care!
Today was the last day of work for 2017! Wheeeeeeeeee! ^___^
