I think all three Knights have a good relationship with Lafarga??  which is weird as hell, he's not a character that gets lots of fan attention except being shipped with Caldina.  but I think they all bounce really really well off him, and all in different ways!  god.  I love it.  like they're never buddy-buddy with him or anything, more like short conversations now-and-then when the girl corners him and he kinda doesn't want to make chitchat but at the end of the day he feels like each of the girls stirs something in him in different ways and help I'm having feelings

Awww, guys, THE LAFARGA FEEELS. He'd definitely be a very reliable friend for the knights, I think. And gosh, everything you guys pointed out is just perfect. XD

I also think Hikaru would want to train with him. She'd be really curious about their way of the sword or something and would probably exaust the poor guy to the point patient Lafarga would just throw Hikaru in one of Lantis' trainings and thell him she's under his charge from now on.

You know, in the manga, Ferio mentions going on a few scouting missions with Lafarga. Think they got along too?

(And, of course, because I am me, I must mention Lafarga and Ascot. Not quite as close to my heart as Caldina and Ascot, but they have their moments. The family. )

In honor of Hikaru week...

Hikaru and Ascot are my activist!brotp. You'll find them together on the front lines of the fight for animal rights (but don't worry, neither of them want anything to do with PETA). And probably LGBT+ rights while they're at it, given how much people seem to like the idea of agender/asexual!Hikaru and genderfluid!Ascot.

I can easily see them as fellow volunteers at an animal shelter, or commiserating about how unnecessarily difficult it is to find restaurants with a good vegetarian/vegan selection, or just hanging out with their dogs at the dog park.

The girls relationship with Presea, she's almost a mother/sister away from home for them I think. Like they go to her for advice on stuff you'd ask you mom about (girl talk not with standing. When they do that usually Caldina is not far behind and then everybody's in on it.)

Speaking of Caldina and Presea, the two of them together are a whole world of trouble. I have a feeling that Caldina really brings out the wilder, fun side of Presea. I'm thinking of the manga when Caldina volunteers to help torture Mokona with her, haha.

Also Eagle and Geo, for real, the best way I can think to explain the way I see their relationship is to compare them to Sam and Frodo in the LotR. For real.

And personal head cannon for myself, Eagle and Fuu actually get along really well together. I think they're both like minded in many ways. Both are pretty shrewd and strategic, but fair, intelligent and polite. I think Fuu would bring boardgames ect to Cephiro while he's recovering, to help him pass the time. So while they're all eating cake Umi brought to snack on Fuu and Eagle are going at it with Chess or Risk.

I really want to write a fic about those two, I really do.

Don't ever play Risk with Eagle, he will obliterate you.

I LOVE CALDINA AND PRESEA TOGETHER  I absolutely agree, imho they are the shit-starting club around the palace.  I wrote a short little fic about them vandalizing Clef's study while very drunk.  pulled poor Ferio into it, too.  like I think they just get each other, being the two older women in the circle of characters.

comparing Eagle and Geo to Frodo and Sam omhhgGG I'm havin a lot of feelings about that.  it's so so true though, oh wow.

*raises hand*  I've always loved the idea of Fuu and Eagle, too!  they both do that thing where they make a little smart-aleck comment then do that little "innocent" smile.  and I feel that they kind of process the world around them in a similar way, lots of turning things over in their minds before reacting.  and "pretty shrewd and strategic, but fair, intelligent and polite" gahh so perfect.  really would've loved to see them interact properly~

haha, I love that! I bet they would be really competitive, all things aside, and they would be all smiles and polite, all the while plotting how to destroy one another (at chess) and scaring both Hikaru and Umi half to death with their creepy smiles while they're playing.

I really want to write them in a friend fic someday, it would be so much fun I think. They have so much in common, I think the closest I remember a fic getting to that was one where they were siblings, along with Kuu, it actually kinda worked. Though for the life of me can't remember the fic that was in.

! ! ! ! !  so it's kind of an unofficial MKR fandom tradition to ship Kuu with Geo but I was skimming the beginning of the MKR2 anime today and I realized she'd get along really well with Kakeru and Satoru!  not necessarily to ship them or anything, just declare themselves the big siblings for all the Knights (since Umi is an only child)

I think she'd get along with Masaru too, the eldest?  did I mess up Masaru vs Satoru, I forget, and am too lazy to spend very long googling it, why is it hard to find a birth order???  because Kuu can be plenty mature/serious but also has a goofy side.  I think she'd be able to get along well with all the Shidou kids. <33

I was unaware of this fandom tradition, I think the few stories I've come across with Geo and they don't have him with Eagle they paired him with one of the princess from Chezeta. Which I kinda like the idea of...any who.

I'm sure Kuu would get along well with all of Hikaru's brothers, I think Umi would find them all hilarious, and considering she doesn't have siblings she'd prolly like them treating her like a sister.

I'm pretty sure Satoru is the oldest sibling. I always liked how level headed and calm he was, at least compared to the other two, omg, over protective much? Lantis better be ready to impress or else!
